The seats have 5 dots embossed in the backrest, which casts doubt on the 4 dots on the steering wheel being Morse Code. Not saying it isn't, but if it is then what do the five dots mean?

I drove a 2019 Kona Limited and today I'm driving a 2022 Kona Limited. This new N-Line has the "WOW" factor, but for another $1500, I would rather get the Limited AWD trim. The Limited adds eco-leather seating, power trunk liftgate, and the digital dash shows the outside of the car when using turn signals. Oh, and the self-park feature that the Sonata debuted where you can park the car in a tight space or in your garage while you are OUTSIDE the car!

It's really interesting to me the features you don't get on the Ultimate in Canada that we get on the Premium trim down here in Australia.
Premium gets Power tailgate, power adjustable passenger seat and heated rear outboard seats OH and the Driver and front passenger seat have a "relaxation" mode.
All trims get a space saver spare.
We also get a 1.6 Hybrid. Only the N-line gets AWD and only with the 1.6T - Which I mention because you can have the N-Line with the 2.0 MPI OR the 1.6 GDI Hybrid OR the 1.6T GDI.

It’s the design of the present and future. Especially low set headlights because they are less likely to blind people. They also eliminate the need for fog lights. People always just got fog lights anyway because they thought they looked cool. That trend rapidly changed and now they are way out of style.

@@yairmichaeli I drove the Kona premium model recently and omg the suspension was amazing it just soaked up any bumps and you didn’t even notice. You barely have to touch the pedal and it’ll go it didn’t rev hard at all like I found with the Mazda cx30 it actually just went so easily and I only found out at the end they had it in eco mode! I didn’t notice any lack of performance at all it definitely has a lot of power and it’s so light to steer as well. The lane change isn’t invasive and is almost to the point of hands free steering itself. All in all I loved it and I actually put a deposit down a few weeks ago 😁

All around looks more for luxury than sporty. And yep also gets a spare tire. My Kona N Line Ultimate is arriving in 1 week, and that spare tire is the first thing I am working on getting. That's why I'm glad I still have my trusty old 2002 Volkswagen Polo 74 HP 1.4 TDI (no relation to failure-prone modern vehicles sold under the same brand name) with what I call "Polo Power" (you can feel the jerk when you accelerate and the turbo comes into play). It is fun to drive despite also being a 3 cylinder.
But I don't expect my large 120 HP 1.0 T-GDi Kona (considerably heavier and with fewer CCs) to perform like that. No matter how they market it, it is a family car. I only expect low fuel consumption and a sticker letting me access low-emission zones. If it drove like my Polo it would be a gas guzzler. Plus, I'm a sucker for the Ioniq-style screens and the high-tech look and driver assists.

The rear light cluster is too low for good visibility for tailgaters at red lights and they are in a great position to get damaged with minor bumps.. Also I wish that stupid looking rear spoiler was an option. For adult drivers we don't want to look like boy racers plus no spare or even a donut and no memory seats and at this price point it isn't a bargain at all in my opinion and we are a Hyundai family owning nine vehicles. Good review though and Sam doesn't build them so it's not his fault.
