most of tire problems come down to meal they use.
they get steels and other meals form thire own subsidiaries.
and they are not the best to say the least. other car makers buy them from specialized manufactures.

I have a 24 Kona SE AWD. It has the 2.0, which gets up to speed no problem. I also have a spare tire in my car as well, that came with it. Maybe in Canada it doesn’t, but mine does. Also, mine doesn’t have the stalk shifter. It has one on the floor. Now, if the car had the convenience package, sure it would have the shifter you mentioned. Hyundai/Kia also had THE BEST warranty you can get on a vehicle.

Cannot speak for cars that are garaged but non-garaged cars are definitely victims of RUST & CORROSION @ 8+yrs. Which is why Kia's 7 yr warranty for these issues is seven years! My last two cars (not garaged) both at age eight plus suffered from underbody corrosion. Current vehicle now has New Transmission pan new gasket new bolts /Oil pan the same also Water pump and the entire Exhaust system is either replaced or soon to be. NJ weather tho not extreme just may be too variable on those metal components.

Just purchased a 2024 Kia Seltos EX which means it has the 2.0 with cvt so hopefully kia has worked out the problems with the engine. The warranty is outstanding and the dealership gives a lifetime power train warranty so we will see if kia and the dealership stand behind their products. If they do then kia has the best value out there right now. We got a 2000 dollar trade in allowance and about 1800 dollars in other incentives which most dealerships don't offer. It doesn't fit what you are talking about, mostly because it isn't Japanese or Korean. My wife had a CR-V, and we both hated it. Hi Shari! Did you actually listen to one of my previous comments about reviewing the new Kona? 😂 But I'm with you. The 1.6L Turbo is the engine to get. However, even with retiring the DCT and going with a "normal" A/T, the MPG is really AWFUL for a crossover in this class. I may be doing a 3-year lease, but I could later decide to buy the car as I'm getting older and may want to keep the vehicle for 10 years instead of leasing again and again. I love the "Star Wars" tech in the new Kona, but I'm ready to ditch Hyundai -- no engine fires now, but what about in 2025 -- and go with the best hybrid vehicles in the world, Toyota!!! Still considering getting a 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid in the XSE model as for about the same price as the Kona, but I would get AWD and about 42 mpg (yes, 42!) which is almost TWICE what the Kona AWD Limited offers. Thanks again for a great video. Oh, and I may have to check out the Kia Niro now as I was unaware of that model. But Kia dealerships in my area don't have good reputations and their service departments are even worse.

    • @carhelpcorner
