is this THE breakpoint? or A breakpoint? What kind of weapons can 89 poise tank? How many hits? Iam wearing 3 peices of solitude and a commoners headband for 83 poise / fashion and I basically feel like I am wearing leather armor.

I usually only watch PVPers when I want something Elden Ring related playing in the background while I play. You’re actually pretty fun to listen to. I like how you present everything succinctly in the beginning AND you provide your own personal narration as your playing. Most people I see talk for 5 mins about the intimates of their build and then have 20 mins of them silently playing. You’re making lots of jokes and stuff which are actually fun to listen to, and you keep your positivity. You into it and you’re having fun but you aren’t TOO into it lol. Even though you’re very much out of the norm for what I like to watch, I subscribed :). Your fun and goofy and Elden Ring PVPers need more of that lol.

5:15 I find it quite funny when you can look at someones name and instantly tell that they tried to cosplay, found using a normal build too hard, and switched to some min max youtube bleed setup. I think theres an image of someones character named "kratos" but they're wearing full rannis set and spamming glinstone comet
i JUST made a build like this last night at lv 200 but i added faith for some incantations to fit the theme and it's so much fun, glad to see some content outside of the whole "new broken pvp weapon" stuff!

Sick build! I do think you need 89 poise btw though. Testing with 88, I was getting staggered a ton by lots of attacks like rapiers, whips and other light weapons, but 89 just fixed it. Fashion is more important imo, but if you wanted to optimize it, 89 poise is the way to go.
yeah I need to make an edit, a couple other folks pointed this out to me as well. Didn't realize they changed the previous 88 breakpoint to 89 for some reason
Palm blast is absolutely nuts, infinite hyper armor and insane damage

Good name for this built would be Knight of Storms, or New Storm King. But glad storm getting love now, make me wanna go back to storm veil getting all storm items haha.
Palm Blast is so OP. Especially with the massive hyper-armor they gave it. I think the only way to stagger out of it is bleed or frost proc.
status builds are really strong just to break hyper armor like that. Def making a palm blast build soon though

Hey Von, pretty nice video I'd just like to ask you where you would put the rest of the 50 points if you were to play this build on RL 200 as I am, maybe 55 dex and STR for soft caps ? and 60 vigor ? or everything in strenght ?
I would get 60 vigor, more endurance, and then whatever gave you the most damage
What is the best greatsword to pair with the stormblade i am using claymore but i dont know if it is good for pvp
@@Dowhatyouloveoink whatever weapon has a moveset you like tbh. I used Knight's GS because I like the moveset. Claymore is good too if you like it

I think it was the blade and the storm connecting at once. They both have separate hitboxes

Zamor curved sword and stormhawk axe are also quality weapons with storm ashes.
I should've tested them out more, in a future vid I will!
Zamor in particular is crazy for invasions. The storm buffs take it up a notch.

I would replace the crimson amber medallion with fhe crimson seed talisman +1, 50 vigor in regular ng is good if you have sufficient scadutree Fragments and the crimson seed +1 gets rid of the health flask heal negation from the helmet
@@AJRequiem0 crimson seed is a fantastic talisman, but it's an easy swap to it before healing. No reason to have it on at all times

Yes very good in PvP. Me and my buddies can stagger chain 3 storm blade ash of wars in a way that is impossible for an invader to dodge. Very effective weapon!

What do you do tho when someone is so close to you and you're very low health? I see so many people panic rolling and you just simply catch up to them by normally walking lmao
well first of all, do not panic roll. Just roll 1 attack properly and you have a window to heal for free. Same thing like playing against a boss

I've had alot of problems with invading into high level jolly cooperators with full bull goat and dual colossus weapon endlessly attacking, maybe this is the weapon art that will finally get them the fug off me
@@MrSkillcap Unfortunately, it does not poise through colossals so you'll need to out-space and whiff punish them. It does do big damage so if you use it with good spacing you can certainly hit them all at once!

i wish we could get all elements of aow like the dancing lion and also the divine bird warriors in enir ilim use storm lighting ice but we only get the storm one so sad

I actually found this bc i way running a very similar build with freyas and horned dual weild (not worth it, soooo much endurance with my armor) but me and my buddy were co-op and i actually got invaded by someone literally running horned and freyas with stormblade and i could not believe it i havent seen hardly anyone talking about it
Hence I had to hop on CZcams and see who's posted lol

So yah have to hardswap with this whole build essentially? I never really hard swap for anything just to be jumping into a menus a lil annoying.
you don't have to hard swap at all. I'd say just equip something with storm blade in your offhand so you can swap between horn calling storm and storm blade. Those are the two best parts of the build anyway

@@EmilKlingberg yes, I've been informed all the poise breakpoints have been changed. 89 would be the next useful target now so just equip a slightly heavier glove such as bull goats
why don't use divine beast head ? have 10% for Storm
I think divine beast helmet has the same effect and isn't as heavy. It's not 10% from my testing, seems more like 4-5%

I wish the storm incant didn't require so much faith. It makes it hard to optimize the weapons and the spell on the same build because of that. I could dump all the points I have in dex into faith instead for the purpose of equipping the spell, but I would lose a lot of damage in exchange. Could be worth it if you prefer the faith defense buffs

Only 16 faith requirement makes this the goat get off me invasion weapon. Edit I said 16 when I had the death knight twin axes on my mind haha. Also a good weapon for the chase down and you don’t sacrifice much throwing a little bit more faith in there.(18 for the bigger one)
yeah for 14 faith, you can just always run this on any str or quality build, its a pretty excellent hardswap to use on a future optimized meta build

@@VonSchnitz Do you just NG + a bunch of times or do you dupe? Over-write your save with an old one that was stocked up?
@@JH-fd9xt on PC, I used cheat engine to make a character that has all items, including 999 upgrade stones and larval tears so I can make all these builds without needing to replay the game 25 different times. On this character, I also have 999 of each consumable to use - they typically help with 1v3 scenarios.
On my PS5 characters, I usually will use the save reload strategy. I haven't tried duping yet, but maybe that's a better way to handle it.
@@VonSchnitz Man i had this same idea, but hadn't made the jump yet cause it felt like cheating to me. But i've gotten every larval tear, and used them sparingly with saving my game file and trying the build first. Then find out these exist, but only like 11 of them? lol

@@freemaysin5088 I see things like this as more of a quality of life improvement for me. I make a lot of different builds and it helps save me time. I never use it to do anything that's actually cheating like adjusting stats or damage or something like that, just simply give me more items lol.
I think on a first playthrough, it's nice to have limited items so you feel the joy of discovery when you loot things. Having unlimited items certainly detracts from that, but for the purpose of PvP build making - we really need an in-game vendor for more of these items. I see using CE as a way around this.
17:39 Yes, palm blast does that much damage it's INSANE. 2 kicks and the aow fully charged is death in most cases lol
I was shocked af getting hit by that lol, definitely need to give a palm blast build a go. I knew it had unlimited hyper armor but had no idea it could reach that level of damage. That man did 80% of my HP
@@VonSchnitz Yeah it's definitely the biggest perk of using hand-to-hand! Even uncharged it deals great damage so you can mix people up with how long you hold it. Chase did a video on it showing off its full capacity hahah

Wish the new ash has the same hyperarmor as storm caller.. storm caller feels like it has infinite poise.
I wish it had more hyper armor too, I felt myself getting interrupted a lot vs heavier weapons. They did nerf stormcaller though in the last patch so it no longer has that frame 1 infinite hyper armor
@@VonSchnitz Yeah? I was in co-op fighting an invader yesterday that was using storm caller on a halberd. Tanked a colossal sword jump heavy and my great katana jump heavy at the same time and was still swinging away killing us all lol. It was funny as heck, I was like "damn that ash is strong as hell".
It's okay though, now that I know it's pretty much still impossible interrupt it normally in melee whether in invasions or co-op, I just gotta sit back and throw a frost pot or charge up something longer range and really nasty if they are gonna be static.
@@Junkzillabox yeah it still has crazy hyper armor! they just adjusted the startup frames - it used to be like frame 1 hyper armor, but now it doesn't activate until they're in the middle of the animation

You can, but at lv 150 quality will be more damage for your melee swings and your storm ashes of war
17:35. Yeah, be afraid of palm blast. Infinite hyperarmor and 1500+ damage in a pretty large aoe.

Spamming moonveil in 2024 is so involved maidenless behaviour. There's a bunch of cool stuff that is new and way stronger with the dlc and these guys prefer to spam crap because a random CZcamsr told them to. Life isn't made of L2s, there's no easy button, friend. Use all the buttons, use all potential that was given to you and evolve. Git gud is evolving, surpassing your past self.

@@VonSchnitz correct, values were changed it’s a wide range between 89 and 133. A lot of the higher 100-123 poise values have been erased
