What is your favorite Vincent Price movie?
House of Wax.
It's a toss up between Theater of Blood and The Raven.
Masque of The Red Death is my fav for horror, but Dr. Goldfoot & The Bikini Machine was great for something a little “off the radar” for him.
Theatre of blood
Brilliant 👍
House on haunted hill❤
He did more than just acting, he was CRAZY talented.
and one brave humanitarian too
@@sockington1 Yes, it's English. Performers have been described as being wildly talented. Same difference.
got that right
I love Vincent Price as an actor and person. Sign of a good person is to recognize your flaws, and emphatically work to not only change your views, but to work to change the world that tought you those screwed up values. We are not born rascists, we are taught to be rascists. Love you and miss you VP.
I agree. We must be given the chance to grow. That's part of what makes us human, our ability to move through life, growing and learning, always learning. Some people choose to stay in one narrow slot, wearing blinders and they will spiritually stagnate. Mr. Price took the blinders off and chose to grow spiritually. I don't mean anything religious by referring to one's spirit, more akin to one's humanity.
Yep and Vincent price is a legend tbh.
You're actually, incorrect. Racism IS born, into ALL of us. That's nature's design (like, all phobias). It's up to each individual to confront, and defeat it!! Psychology, 101🙄.
@@louisejohnson6767 Ok, Capt obvious.
@@rogerrendzak8055 I disagree. Put a white baby next to a black one. Chances are good that they will play together. That is... until or unless one of the adults separate them.
Soon after he passed a fellow actor said that they were on a shoot in the 60’s for a horror film. It was at a functioning mansion but, harsh terrain to get there. The craft truck couldn’t get there so, No food. Price had someone with a truck that could get them to town bought ingredients to make food for the cast and crew in that mansion’s kitchen.
I’m sure it wasn’t a fancy meal but, everyone was fed.
Cool ❤️
If they were still here, this is what I want: Vincent Price and David Bowie in the same movie, directed by John Carpenter. I win.
Not only you my friend, everyone would.
DMD Love , that is a wonderful idea. Two great admired talents.
Now that would be awesome DMD
that would be awesome! Vincent Price as the bad guy and Bowie as his monster,
@@Nevertoosweet2eat 3, don't forget Carpenter.
Didn't think it was possible for my love for Vincent Price to grow stronger than it already is now, and yet, here we are. 💗
He the 🐐 of horror moves along with peter Cushing and Christopher Lee
I loved him as so many characters!!! His voice was surely #epic!
#ThePitAndThePendulum 👏 👏 👏
I miss him as a, child he would do little stories on TV 📺 before cable it was so nice. His voice alone was perfect for a story
Omg, I _completely_ forgot about that! Thank you. Remember he was a guest on 'Scooby Doo, Where Are You?' too? 😊
@@Digitalhunny yes...lol Good time's we had as children
@@CharmingDiva - Wish the industry would bring back the style of the old annimations. (Just not the process 😊) Nostalgia, really _is_ the greatest drug. Have a wonderful day & weekend. 🤗🇨🇦
The Abominable Dr. Phibes
Awsome movie
@@ianashby1449 Don't know why the Phibes character was left out of this piece
''Theatre of Blood'' was my favourite film, i thought it was so sophisticated with the Shakespearean theme and the very clever the way they worked the tragic plays into the art of horror. Diana Rigg was also one of my favourite actresses of that era, a pioneer of her time.
Theatre of Blood is a hoot! Brilliant film - and Robert Morley is a scream as one of the doomed critics.
@@dianebusby7047 Yeah he was brilliant in his role
I read a comment somewhere that essentially said: "Vincent Price is gothic Mr. Rogers."
Truer words have never been spoken.
I would have loved to seen him in a Steven king film. I can just imagine what these two would have brought to the table!!!
I Really Admired Vincent Price.
I Had The Pleasure Of Meeting Him Long Ago.
God Bless 💗🙌
It's been said that he loved his role of Egghead on the 60s Batman show, and went overboard on a scripted egg fight with giddy delight.
Lmao, I remember how he went crazy smashing entire cartons over Burt Ward's head.
I was so happy when I found a copy of his cookbook at a library sale about 10 years ago :)
cygnia I remember my mom saying he cooked his salmon in the dishwasher! Is that in his cookbook?
@@gayledimitri5887 Not in this one...maybe it appeared in Price-Wise?
His signature laughing though
I met him, briefly, after a one man show as Oscar Wilde. He was very polite and very sweet. I am glad to hear he came around to wiser and kinder views
Such an amazing multi-faceted human being. It's as if he was living 20 life times all at once.
In the 70's he was in The Hilarious House of Frightenstein.
It was taped in Hamilton, Ontario and starred Billy Van.
He played 80% of the characters and was a genuinely talented and funny man.
Vincent Price would spout funny scary stories in between acts.
For me it was great to see one of my favorite actors working out of Hamilton.
A lot of people miss you Mr. Price.
I hope you're scaring the hell out of Heaven.
It was a great and funny show.
Loved that show.
If my memory serves, he flew up to Hamilton and taped all of his segments for one season of the show in one (2?) days.
Mr Price was a true Renaissance Man!!!!!! Have alot of the same interests! I greatly respected him like no other! What a Great run he had!!!! ❤️
He was a villain on the big screen a lot of the time, but he certainly sounded like a really nice guy in real life
By all accounts he really was a very nice humble guy.
Funny thing, so were Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee. Maybe they should have had their own production company, I'm sure they'd have treated their casts and crews well.
Villain actors always are.
@@dontaylor7315 don’t forget the lovely Peter Cushing! Funny how villains turn out to be the kindest of men
@@starringvincentprice I wonder if anybody's done a study on that. It's intriguing, I'd like to know why it turns out that way.
Edward Scissorhands ♥️ the fly ❤️ The Tingler ❤️ the incredible Dr, Phibes.
What's this 'the incredible doctor phibes' you speak of?? 🤔
How about "The Abominable Dr. Phibes "?
Abominable dr phibes
Vincent Price as a guest on talk shows was always worth watching, as he was what my generation used to call "a gas!" Well, the clip of him cooking on the Tonight Show, with Johnny Carson shows it. He was a compassionate Old School School gentleman. Stay safe, everyone.
He was fantastic
Vincent Price certainly lived his life to the fullest while not falling victim narcissistic self worship, it would appear. What a guy; too bad there aren’t more celebrities in this mold!
Wow!!! 65 years later I find out that Vincent Price is not English. Learn something new everyday!🤨
There's keanu reeves
The Raven, with Peter Lorre and Boris Karloff is incredibly funny.
Vincent Price was a Legendary man himself, he's still one of my favorite actor in horror films
Like to think Edgar Allen Poe would be a fan
Didn't know he was that talented, great man!
I saw Price in Tempe doing the Oscar Wilde show. It was wonderful. I waited afterward to meet him and get an autograph. He was so sweet and so nice!
My introduction to Price was through the "Hilarious House of Frightenstein" (Billy Van's show) ... kinda surprised it wasn't even mentioned..
My first as well! Surprised it wasn't mentioned too... "The castle lights are growing dim..... there's noone left, but me, and him.."
What versatility! Gourmet, art collector, activist and so much more...like Christopher Lee who was far more than a horror actor. And it's interesting that Price performed with Deep Purple, Alice Cooper and Michael Jackson. Similarly, Lee recorded albums in classic pop and heavy metal.
He made “The Tingler” and it was his first horror movie about a tingle thingy that crawls in people to tingle them!
That is a rare tidbit of knowledge
There's an acid trip as well
Thank you! I haven't sen that one yet!
I suspect a little tongue-in-cheek going on here.....hmmmm? 🔎 😸
I remember that one! Isn't it the one where they had to scream to get it to get out of their spine? Love those old black and white movies, even the ones with paper machee monsters.
I got the AWESOME HONOR to meet him when he was filming a "Cousin's Subs" commercial back in the mid-80's in Milwaukee!
I drove there JUST to hope to see him? I didn't EXPECT to actually MEET HIM???
HE WAS BEYOND AWESOME! I got to actually SIT DOWN and Spend time TALKING with him! We talked MOVIES, ART, COOKING, BOOKS... Just SO AWESOME!!!
I will NEVER EVER FORGET HIM!!! :D
J.S. Connolly that’s so cool! 😎😎😎
Cool ❤️
I am so jealous, Vincent is my great great great uncle and I have dreamed my entire life of meeting him. I have so much in common with him and know that we would share a connection like I have with noone else in my family because I have a lot of the same interests and talents as him. I imagine us just talking for hours and hours about everything.
Excellent input, thank you. (And yes, very jealous here!) 😸😉
I've adored this man my whole life. He lived his life to be he fullest till it's very end. An enviable life.
Price was a very intelligent and sophisticated person. To think he came fro St. Louis is somehow astounding!
A legendary American actor born in the center of a great country near the absolute middle of population graphics St Louis is a wonderfull place please dont talk vulgar about that all American city
@@williamraines1749 I was referring to accent. I should have been clearer in my comment. A lot of great Americans have come out of Missouri over the years.
A wonderful actor, person, and humanitarian. My all time favorite actor. Also, Dr. Phibes all the way!
WOW, just when I thought I could not admire Vincent Price any MORE.......
THANK FOR THE UPLOAD!!!!!!!!
What a complete MAN!!!!!!!!!
He also did stuff with Iron Maiden. The Number of the Beast and others. I also liked him as Vincent Van Ghoul in 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo.
Don't forget he did the talking segment and evil laugh on MichaelJackson's "Thriller", and appeared many times on "The Hollywood Squares". (Jan Griffiths).
Vincent Price is my favourite actor of all times, and I love all his films. But I do also love him for his genius in acting, his nice kind of person, his friendly appearance and his many other talents.
I miss him sooo much 😢 may he rest in peace 🕊️🕊️🕊️🌹🌹🌹 wish I can order all his MOVIES 👍😊😊😊
I have his entire run of the radio show THE SAINT, where he did the voice of Simon Templar. His voice carries the show!
Just adore this guy. His acting was amazing and his real life persona shows a lovable great human being.
He was a genius, miss him lots!!!
Loved watching and listening to him.. Michael Jackson Thriller will always be priceless..
Loved Vincent Price. Horror films about Dracula etc. were very popular on the TV on Saturday nights back in the 70s and 80s. ''Hammer house of Horror'' they were called and anyone of a certain age will remember this. I was almost upset when he spoke on Michael Jacksons record, I thought he just had a cult following and was special to just me a few others ;)
A life truly lived, Thanks for enlightenment, Great Gentleman and Humanitarian!! Rest in Power!!
He was one Hell of a man! I wish I could have met him, but I would be tongue tied before such a presence. 💖💖
I loved his horror movies and his distinctive, articulate voice. But I was not aware of his personal life and arts pursuits - a modern day Renaissance Man. He crossed over into modern rock /pop music. What a cool guy!
"LAST MAN ON EARTH" was THE Beginning of the "ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE" Movies to come!
GREAT MOVIE If you've never seen it! :D
Love it. Very seriously underrated. Good enough to watch again and again.
The “Last Man on Earth” was a variation of. “I Am Legend”. So it really had nothing to do with “zombies”.
I loved watching him cooking on Carson or reading poetry. He was hilarious. It was always a joy to see him. I remember once he cooked fish in the dishwasher
I was fortunate to meet Price in the mid 70s. He had given a really good presentation at the college I was attending. When it was over, I went down to the student center game room to pick up girls. I had just engaged two cuties into a game of team pinball when I friend came to tell me that Vincent was leaving and I might have a chance to meet him directly. So I went running up the stairs without looking where I was going. Suddenly there were a pair of very polished shoes blocking my way. I look up and it's......Vincent Price!!!
He looks down at me and says, 'Hello, son'. It sounded just like him, too. I began stammering like Ralph Kramden. He smiled. I belted out my praise for his seminar and his movies. He nods and thanks me again. As he continued down the stairs I continue squawking. He continued to smile and waved. Well, all I can say is that he had a lot of class.
Fantastic, loved Vincent Price x
I'm old enough to remember his creepy outro for The Hilarious House of Frightenstein: "The castle lights are going dim. There's no one left but me and him. (Looks back at Frankenstein) When next you come to Frankenstone, don't come alone!" Then he blows out a candle, leaving everything in darkness.
👍
That show was filmed in my hometown of Hamilton, Ontario at CHCH Television. I remember hearing many years ago from a friend of someone on the film crew that every shot he did for the show was filmed over the course of a single long weekend, and that he had brought several cases of beer in for the crew.
@@robertpearson8798 there were only 2 segments that I can recall. One was The Professor were some guy in front of a chalkboard who would try to explain some mathematical formula (I remember see him do the Pythagorean Theroem) but since I was under 10, it was way, way over my head. Then there was a witch who tried to cook something in a cauldron and it never turned out well.
That is a tough question. He was and will always be an absolute legend to me ! xx
Two Thumbs, Way Way Up!!
I knew nothing about Vincent Price, but I can't say that anymore! Thank you!
One of my Favorite actors of all time! So glad to learn he was an awesome person, too. Hard to pick a favorite movie, among his many roles in such a long, legendary career. So, I'll note my favorite commercial, instead. It was done for some credit card co. and also starred his wife, too. In it, she patiently indulged Vince as he cackled over his latest purchase, an electric outdoor bug-zapper. "Bzzzzzz...Isn't it WON-DER-FUL!!" 😄
What a True Legend, who brought both chills & laughter to so many millions of fans. May he & his delightful Mrs. both rest in Peace & Joy. 💙
Vincent Price was a very eccentric and handsome man. Not to mention an amazing actor.
❤in my mind and heart. Vincent Price could not be touched. House of Wax is one I can never forget. There is no equal. That is my personal view!
Man was a movie legend, R.I.P Vincent 🌹
He was truly a renaissances man. He was outstanding in “ Dragginwike” and “the house of seven gables”
Vincent Price is a legend and one of my favourite actors of all time. The abominable Dr Phibes is one of my favourite characters he played, total legend. RIP Vincent.
I love Vincent Price so much that I changed my last name to Gallico, the name of his character in The Mad Magician
Vincent Price was my go-to horror movies back in the late 60s early 70s.
Love Vincent Price incredible man and person of the arts 🎭🥰
Vincent Price and Edgar Allan Poe! Best pairing ever!
What a guy. Those were the days.
So badass and multifaceted. I never knew.
Vincent Price was an astounding talent and a true hero. He was a great inspiration and is now a legend.
I have always loved Vincent Price. Growing up in the 60s, I never missed a Vincent Price movie. My most favorite film of his was "House of Wax." Such an educated and classy gentleman.

The Last Man On Earth
The Song of Bernadette
just to name a couple...☺
Gotta love Vincent Price.
The Saint on radio!!
He was a great actor and one of my best actor.
Thank you so much. I love Vincent Price.
Few, very few actors grow old with such class and grace and remaining absolutely handsome and sexy to the end. I grew up with his movies, and I have been in love with him all my life.
My favorite actor!!!!!!!!!!
I respect Mr Price and love him so much!
Greetings from Egypt.
I had no idea that Vincent Price had so many talents and interests! I'd always associated him with horror movies like 'House Of Wax' and the stories of Edgar Allan Poe. It's nice to be wrong about someone.... I'd always thought he was a bit stuffy and stuck up. I'm glad I was wrong about him.
Vincent, my love ❤️
I'm being deadly serious when I say that believing Vincent Price never renounced his fascist sympathies would've been absolutely soul-crushing for me.
Makes me respect him more. He recognized his faults and he changed them. Plus supporting his daughter when she came out as lesbian and standing up for the rights of others as well as being one of the first celebrities to actually help allay public fears about the HIV/AIDS virus helps. Sounds like a legitimately cool guy.
@@starrsmith3810 Spot on!
Dr Philbes and House of Wax scared me to death when I was a kid😳😳😆😆😆😆
I love him even more now.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I always thought Price was the quintessentially weird and scary guy! I had no idea that he had such a love of fine art and giving back to society!
I’d forgotten he was in the 10 Commandments, I always thought his voice was so interesting
This wonderful loving man has a beautiful heart and soul very talented love how he cares about other people in such love and Emotions love love love you my hero
This is one of the greatest person whether you watching one of his film or radio shows the saint in my opinion truly a great person
Price was unironically, *priceless*
Let us not forget one of his best roles. Vincent Van Ghoul on The 13 Ghosts Of Scooby Doo.
I own an original copy of "A Treasury of Great Recipes" signed by both Vincent and his wife. Something I truly treasure!
I had SUCH a mad crush on him WAY before I noticed other boys. I knew I wanted to marry him when I grew up when I was ten. LOL Hey, 50 years later, I STILL love him. The interest in cooking, the humor, those blue eyes....*sigh* Yep, I flipped when I bought an Alice Cooper album and heard him on it! If you are a fan, a GREAT film is "The last man in the world" You'll recognize the plot from a more recent, and not nearly as good film by a different name.
This gotta be the first time seeing someone crush on Vincent Price.
Vincent price he's right up there with Boris Karloff, christopher lee, and bela Lugosi ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I did not know many of these facts. Thank you for your research. It just makes Vincent Price even more cool.
