Have you been to Venice? Want to go? Let us know in the comments!!
vagabrothers I want to go .
I've been!
I live here :D
vagabrothers hi guys was back in 1999 first time traveling to Europe...fun place lots of history..would love to be back with my family on day
I disagree with your impression. What is romantic in Venice? Swimming with a gondola in a dirty canal is not romantic. The prices are very high even in public toilet I spent 2 euros. It's too crowded and sellers want to push souvenirs by force. I don't recommend that place. I prefer Sevilla, Kraków or Vienna.
I'm Italian, I live just 1 hour away from Venice and I think you did really a great job with this video, you valorized so good the right aspects of the city and I just hope all the tourist can appreciate Venice as you guys do.
Jacopo Baccarin looks like a cool place !
which city bro😊
ghe sboro
Did your area get flooded?
How is like to live in italy?
Best part about your videos is that you interweave history of the destination with sightseeing. Really like your vlogs always.
🙏🏼🙏🏼
I love when you talk about the life of the locals. Gives a different view from a regular tourist
Thank you for talking to the gondola man. I liked listening to his perspective and how much he loved what he was doing
Best part about traveling 🙏🏼
of course he loves it... he makes toooooons of money
This video is amazing. I never came across a Venice video that included the garbage disposal, ahahah!! As an Italian, I really appreciated how you pointed out that it's still a city with locals living there, and not just an open-air museum.
My best friend is Italian , she lives in Castle Franco Veneto.
I have been to Italy - to quite a few places including Venice when I was 17 and just recently went back to visit my friend, I had the proper Italian tour guide and my gondola driver is a pro in gondola racing (yes it’s a thing 😂).
Thank you for creating a video about Venice and Carnevale that is relatable, and yet APPROPRIATE to show to my middle school students. They are going to be so inspired by your thoughtful video.
When I travelled to Italy for the first time, I was on a budget, but designated Venice as my splurge destination. Totally worth it. Even though it is super touristy, you just can't deny how magical it is there. If you have the time, visiting the other islands is worth it. Murano for their world-famous glass blowing and Burano for their handmade lace and delicious cookies!
You summed it up perfectly - the magic is real!
Hi, I am from Venice! Just wanted to say thank you for this vlog because it gives a realistic idea of what living in Venice really means and shows the beauty of the city. Such a peculiar place should be more respected by everyone!
I really enjoyed the tone and pacing of this video! The quiet, low key moments were just so serene & delightful to watch.
It’s a low key quiet place when you’re off the main canal. Glad you enjoyed the video - hope you remember to share it with your travel buddies 🤙🏽
Venice is most beautiful city in the world ❤️! My advice is that when ever you need food just go to Mestre it is 15 mintues from piazzale Roma .You can eat tasty and cheap food or at least food with more reasonable price .
thank you so much for introducing the history of Italy I’ve always wanted to learn about this beautiful culture it fascinates me so much to want to keep learning! I’ve been trying to find a descent video that talks about Italy
Check out @alexthevagabond channel he has guides to Venice and Rome :)
This is so cool!
I'm Italian, I've already been to Venice and I LOVE it!
I never had the chance to be there during the Carnival though... it's definitely on my bucketlist.
I loved to see it from the point of view of people coming from a whole different continent.
Grazie! 💕
I just saw this video and i love the way you edited. Especially the gondola scene with slow motion effect. Also the backsound is making the ambience more dramatic and romantic. It is a perfect combination. I was so moved by that scene. Great job 👍
Thank you!!! Glad you enjoyed our video style :)
I love Venice. I went their with my Mum Some years ago, My father had been stationed there in the British Army when the little island opposite the big old front steps, in old paintings, was the army barracks. He was there for two years and always wanted to go back. Wanted to live there or live in Italy. But he never got to go back, especially as he became disabled and could not but he loved it that we did and when we got there and stood opposite his old barracks we phoned him. & When got home he loved all the pictures and books we brought back for him. I loved your masks. Brilliant video. Thanks for sharing.
16:18 There in the back ground. That might be the little island that was the barracks. I'd have to dig out the old photos. But it looks like it to me.
Did a live aboard on a boat in Venice in May, 2017. Nothing like Venice. Very visual. After a few disappointing and over priced meals things got better by shopping at local markets and at the large supermarket near the bus station. Definitely get a vaperetto (water bus) pass. Cheap and a great way to cruise the canals. Thanks for another great video. The editing, content including historical info and overall production puts the Vagas in a class by themselves for a YT travel channel. Truly superb.
Alex that cinematography is on point!
going to carnival in venice dressed up is actually a pro tip. Since everyone will make room for you. To not crush your dress or to get the chance to take your picture. Really helpful in a huge crowd ;) Only downside are some of the "professionals" in their costumes. They will pic a really photogenic spot and not move from it. Probably to get photographed and shown on social media as much as possible. But i think it can be quite rude and frustrating for other people wanting a picture with that backdrop. As soon as I have the photo i wanted or see that someone else is interested in the spot i`ll move on. And actually my grandma (83) got dressed up a bit last year at carnevale di venezia and declared she will wear my dress and wig at carnival in venice the year she turns 85. And trust me she will do so. (I guess i need to work/get another costume ... )
This video timing is perfect! I’m visiting Venice for the first time in two weeks! After watching this. I’m even more excited than I was was.
Really awsome! Exploring Southern Europe is such a mind-blowing experience. Good job Vagabros.! Galician living in Montevideo, Uruguay, and just enjoying your videos. Un abrazo grande from the River Plate.
Saludos! Yo vivía en Pontevedra un año!

Wow, your content is amazing. Thanks for sharing! Why am I just coming across your channel now lol. Just subscribed!
Stunning vlog!! Thank you! One of my very first travel experiences was a trip to Italy and I will never forget the overwhelming emotion I felt as I took a trip on the vaporetto down the grand canal. And you are right about letting yourself get lost on the tangled web of side streets!
So beautiful and very interesting!!! Hope I'll see this city soon!
...Pure gold!! Well done! The best in the land! 🏆
My favorite city! Great job on the video! Sending love from Bangkok!!
Enjoyed the video. Venice so beautiful. 🤗
I love Venice. My favorite memory was getting lost with our group of friends. One of the guys appointed himself as leader. He walked down a small alleyway and ended up on a dock on the Grand Canal. And like lemmings, we all had to walk out on the dock and look around.
Good content I like little nugget of educational pieces of info such as how the trash is taken out , how the city was built ,etc. Keep up the good work.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Hope you’re subscribed - much more on the way :)
Venice is such a unique place! You did such an awesome job giving us details that we may have never known.
it feels so magical, I'm in love with it. What an incredible vlog though
I'm happy for you, thanks for your vlogs
Really good video. Learnt a lot about Venice!
I spent three weeks in Venice, March 2014 (best month to visit). Might I suggest that for the same price you paid for the gondola ride you could take a 90 minute rowing instruction from RowVenice.com. It was the highlight of my visit. Try it the next time, this way you row as the gondolieri while Carrie admires and videos your prowess! You did produce a pleasant and informative video. Mille grazie !
i've really enjoyed that you mentioned a lot about locals and normal life in Venice. I love these types of videos.
Wow this is a one visually stunning and informative vlog.
The best experience ever, so miss Carnevale! Beautiful beyond words! ❤️❤️❤️
Wow this has inspired me so much venice here i come
Congratulations! A fab video and really well-made. Made me feel like going back there again. Keep making these mate.
Cheers!!
Going to Italy in June with my boyfriend and your video was such a huge help! Can’t wait to check these places out and we love your tips for couples❤️🙌🏽
Gorgeous video 💙 city of water and love

I love all your vlogs! They're my favorite travel guides to watch. Have you guys been to Florence? Heading to Rome 4/11-4/23 and trying to plan a few stops while were there. The Tuscany hot springs vlog is DEFINITELY on the list 🙌🏼

Thank you Dolce & Gabbana 🙌🏼

Estuve en Venecia en el 2016; para ser sincero, no me agradó mucho. Pero ahora que veo este vídeo, me dan ganas de regresar ahora mismo!! Excellent video!

Thank you Serg! Hope you subscribe and check out more of our videos :)
Amazing place, definitely should visit😍
Guys, some of the shots in this video are incredible, especially the carnival stuff! It' crazy how good you've gotten!
What I like about your videos is, I feel I’m there with you. All the more reason to see Venice now. Keep up the good work.
Cheers John!
Some parts of the video got really scenic! Like that part (16:38), that costume in the sunset was great. Good job!
I've been to Venice and I think it must be worth to wait and visit during Carnival.
I don't think it is the top city to visit in Italy but it's plenty different from all others for the decorative objects, typical foods,...
Food is expensive but we've found a pizza place called Farini, where you can easily get by with a filling slice of pizza and good coffee for around 5 euros.
Wow I have enjoyed this video a lot! thanks!
Thanks for watching 🙏🏼
I am so excited to have found your channel!!! I am traveling to a lot of places with my little one; and your videos are super helpful!!!
This is fascinating! Extremely well done job documenting your visit to Venice and sharing some important facts about the city.I love the slow captures of the city views. Stunning!
EDIT: The costumes in that carnival were jaw dropping!

Oh wow ! Venice is very special place, maybe the most beautiful in the world :) who knows.. i'm in love with Venice ! I have been to Venice in 2015 in summertime and it was delicious day in which I will never forget, much sun, beautiful walks around, some but good shopping, many pics and the thought that I will come back there once again:) especially on Carnival worth !
great video! we just left Italy our second stop on our world travels. You made me miss it already :)
I just added this to my bucket list!
Bellissimo reportage. Bravo!
You guys have really upgraded the editing! Love your videos
Such an incredible place. Was there last july for a few nights and completely agree about the side streets and canals. Going to italy again this july but only seeing lake como and milan
Gorgeous video capturing what is unique about Venezia!
Thanks for talking about what I found most fascinating about Venice, how people went about their daily work.
I loved getting up early to see how the Venetians started their day.
And who’s idea was it to put stairs on the bridges anyway??
It is amazing! Obviously you already knew my little hack! I love your video's
👏🏼👏🏼

@@jessaviahopkins1771 it was amazing!! Like honestly breath taking, words don’t do Venice any justice!
Great video Alex! Venice is on my list. Would be nice to experience the carnival also.
Try to time it so you can do both Sheryl!
One of my dream list👍...
I would love to go to Venice, Italy!
I only just go around to watching this, looks amazing, i may have to visit. :)
Oh, this video makes me want to go back to Venice!
Us too!!!
you made my city looks amazing, cheers guys
We’ve been it’s a gorgeous place and so unique. We loved it.. even with all the tourists it was an outdoor museum.
Definitely worth a visit!!
I'm heading to Venice in one month for the first time! That Airbnb looks amazing!
I stayed in Venice at the Hotel Luna, just off St Mark’s Square a long time ago before the hotel went massively up market. It was a magical week I’ll never forget.
Carrie was right about the gondola! And she looked so happy 😁
Superb Blog .
That was pretty cool
Was just there in September it was amazing
Great videos guys. I was a little underwhelmed by Venice myself...after hearing it's one of the nicest places on earth I was expecting big things. Worth seeing once in your life but I would not go back.
Guess it really depends on your personal experience- getting lost in the back canals and far flung corners of the islands is pretty cool but totally get the feeling of too much Tourism
vagabrothers for sure. I felt like the only thing unique was the canals. If you swapped them for roads you're left with a big old northern Italian city. I personally prefered the Lake Garda towns and cities like Verona and Bergamo during my visit.
Also...can I just say you covered my home country of Northern Ireland immaculately in your vlogs a year or so back. It looked like you guys had a blast and your portrayal of the subtleties of what makes Northern Ireland a great place to be is appreciated!
Amazing
Very good
Thank you Noely!
Hi guys your take on Venice just wow . That opening out of sight 4 the carnival /festival & etc. Yes u right about it sinking & all that stuff.😚 Thanks again 4 my trip with u guys. What time of year did u go 4 it was cold. 😀 😆 😁
Now at the bucket list. ✍️
Great video! I was there and saw many of the people you saw. Would have made all the effort to see you if I knew you were there.
When is celebrated this Carnival in Italy? you mentioned that started back on 1162. In what month is celebrated? In Yucatan, Mexico we have something similar also called Carnaval in which began . on Thursday, February 28 and ends on Tuesday, March 5. Thanks for sharing. That is a beautiful video.
He said that Carnavale is just before Lent.
Great video guys!!! Loved it...good hack if you don’t want to spend too much money on the gondola 👍👌
After I saw your video I feel like I want to visit Venice asap. You filming is so interesting.
Thank You 🙏🏼
i have to give Venice another chance; really didnt love it the first time i went!the desire to go back is still there though and this vlog reinforced that 😀 good work! x
I was twice in Venice and is not worth it.
Gabi 1234 if i went back i would go to other places in Italy as part of the same trip i wouldn't exclusively go to Venice; but i would like to give venice another chance at some point :)
the same, i didnt like it.. too crowded, but with this vlog i want to go back.
the vagabrothers have a way of making me want to go everywhere; i just wish my wallet would cooperate 😂😂😂
This is the best video about Venice I've ever seen ( I live in Venice and I was also on this clip :P)
Thank you so much 🙏🏼
