As a USMC VETERAN, and having lost many of my military brothers, this really touches my heart! Thank you, and God bless you all for doing this! 💙🙏🏻🇺🇸 Semper Fidelis!
Semper Fidelis
Thank you, and thank you for your service!
Thanks for your service and for watching, Bob!
Hey tyrell how are you my friend that's a noble thing to do a knife 🔪 for those veterans lost their lives nice 👍 job blessings 🙌 🙏
Thank you for watching!
That is sad. My condolences to the family. Denis, you’re a really good dude and you deserve every good thing that comes you’re way. 👊🏻
Thanks, brother! I appreciate you watching
As a US Army veteran, I got into bladesmithing and blacksmithing as a way to help me cope with ptsd. So I greatly appreciate the work you have done here, and the others have done in order to help bring awareness with making these blades.
Thanks for your service and for watching!
This was an amazing thing you guys did. As an army brat, it's hard to imagine how this family feels. Bless you all for your beautiful contribution.
Thanks for watching, Janet!
As a Navy veteran and 4 generations of military family history. We thank you, and I know the family receiving this. Thank you.
Thank you for watching, Richard! Thank you and your family for their service.
Rest in Peace shipmate!!
I am a Navy Veteran that served on the USS Saratoga CV-60 with the F-14 squadron VF-103 through Desert Storm. I was also a volunteer firefighter, so this project hits me very personally in several ways. I lost brothers on board the ship, when the towers collapsed, and several others to suicide that served in both the fire service and the military. I want to thank everyone who wirked on this project and everyone and their families that served!!
Thanks for watching and for your service! 🫡
These look beautiful. Great memorial to Bobby. Fair winds and following seas Bobby.
May he finally rest in peace. ❤️
Wow .... I am actually blown away. The thought and effort that went into this project is outstanding. It's actually incredible. From the blade to the wood. Fantastic lineage.
Well done to all involved.
Thanks so much for watching, Dan!
As a fellow veteran and Crayon eater ( USMC ), this is amazing and touches my heart. thank you for all who were a part of this because with out your awareness our veterans don't have a chance. As a former state leader for mission 22 i know what all goes on in these hard times, so thank you again.
Thanks for watching and for your service, Juan!
God bless you all for doing this. One lost Veteran is too many. Twenty two is beyond tragic. Thanks for helping shed light on this.
It was my honor to do these blades to try to help out a family in crisis. Hopefully this also spreads the word about this problem. Thanks for watching
It is not enough to say how amazing this build it. There is so much soul in it. I am retired Navy. I am also a member of a non-profit veteran’s group called Operation Pay It Forward. I will share this video with our members…many of whom are knife makers and deal everyday with PTSD. God bless you, Denis, and I hope for strength and closure to the Rankin family.
Please share as much as you can. Thanks for watching and for your service!
What an awesome knife set/project! Major kudos to all those involved! Like and shared! Thanks again Dennis!
Thank you for sharing and watching, Stephen!
So awesome and thanks for letting people know about our Vets. You are truly an amazing caring guy and all that helped you with this Project 22❤❤❤
This was a team project and we do it to honor the family and the vets. Thanks for watching.
@@TyrellKnifeworks Love what all this Project stands for!! Makes me happy to see total strangers come together and work together to help others. We as Humans need way more of this and way less of the other Bullshit in the world.
Wow. Awesome work Sr. Thanks for sharing with us this magic craft.
Thank you for watching!
Thank you for bringing attention to this important issue that, unfortunately, plagues the services.
Those knives are beautiful!
Thank you for taking a look!
I'm sorry to hear of the young man and his taking of his life. That's a tough one, but I am grateful for his service. As for your son, please thank him for his service and thank you for hardship you and your family has had to endure for having a child in the military. God bless your family.
Thank you for the kind words and for watching.
I applaud you Dennis. I'm a Navy veteran and I know it's really hard for some vets to readjust to life after the military. I really appreciate the amount of thought and care that you and the others put into these beautiful and deeply meaningful pieces of work.
Thank you for your service and for watching!
Beautiful knives for a beautiful cause. Much respect to you for doing this.
It certainly is a worthy cause. Thanks for watching.
They came out absolutely fantastic and I know that whomever ends up owning them is going to love them great work and I would like to say that I am very sorry for the loss of a true Patriot
Thank you for watching!
I must say that this tribute, with so many historical details and parts are wonderful. I do believe that your tribute and crafting are showing your love for your country. I am not an American, but must say that you are an example to any other person in the world. You have my respect sir, congratulation on creating history for future generations, with history in these beautiful work.
Well, I’m actually Canadian, but I live in the US. 😉 This was an important build nonetheless. Thanks for watching!
@@TyrellKnifeworks I was involved in military service as national defense, compulsory from 1983 - 1994. I have lost friends and that makes me feel the respect for your tribute, so touching and meaningful.
The knife looks beautiful Denis, another amazing job. Me and Bianca loved the video
Thank you for donating the cable! I appreciate you helping out with this!
wow those are BEAUTIFUL KNIVES. & THANK YOU GUYS FOR Y'ALL'S SERVICE 🇺🇲🦅🇺🇲🦅🇺🇲 RESPECT 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 PRAYERS FOR BOBBY'S FAMILY
Thanks for watching, Eddie!
Awesome project as recent USMC veteran!
Thanks for watching this video, Brett!
This is an awesome project. I will be buying at least one sticker. My knifemaking channel is dormant at the moment, so later today I will shoot a video promoting this, if it's okay. I'm an Army vet, but my father served for 10 years in the Navy. He served on CV-9 USS Essex and CV-64 USS Constellation. Last week, we went to the USS Yorktown and I told my son I wanted the arresting cable that was on the deck. He told me no and informed me that I would get into serious trouble if I tried to take it. 🤣 Maybe I can get my hands on some one day.
Thanks for sharing and promoting the video. I'm surprised he said no. My son simply asked if he could have some of the old cable and they said "how much". Thanks for watching.
@@TyrellKnifeworks I didn't ask anyone who worked for the ship. I figured that a museum ship didn't have any spare cable to offer. I suppose I could contact Patriot"s Point to see if they have any old cable.
Oh, ha, yeah not from a museum ship. The USS Eisenhower is an active ship so they still go through cable, that’s how he got it.
Thank you for your service
Currently on a deployment. Although I’m not doing a terribly difficult job, it really puts it into perspective what entire families have to go through, and it’s even more harrowing for the guys on the front lines or out at sea. Much respect for you guys on this project.
Thank you for watching and for your service!
A superb build and touching tribute. My condolences to the family.
Thanks for taking a look
They are so beautiful and really so patriotic love what you and the others done there god bless!!
Thanks for checking out this build.
You always do a fine job with metal, bit this time you outdid yourself on the handles, they look amazing. And you are doing this for a great cause, love it. 👍
Thank you for taking a look!
I'm so sorry to hear about Robby. As a U.S. Army Veteran, I extend my deepest condolences to his family and friends.
Thank you for your service and for watching.
Absolutely gorgeous, Dennis. Such a great cause!
Thanks for watching, Jon!
Beautiful craftsmanship
Thanks for watching.
Coming from a military family and as the spouse of a veteran, thank you for being a part of this project. And thank you to everyone involved in it. My deepest condolences to Bob and his family.
Thank you for watching!
Denis- love your passion my friend. Something about Canadian people I respect, maybe it came from listening to Rush all the time. Keep up the solid work.
Thanks for watching!
Great job! Love the knifes, the history, and the love that went into them. What a great cause to support!
Thanks for watching, Justin!

Thank you Denis! A problem gone on far too long and hits close to home to everyone.
Thank you for watching!
We have similar issues in the UK with our veterans being ignored, many end up homeless or on drugs etc. The help is given to illegal immigrants. Stunning knives and a worthy cause. Lest we forget 🇬🇧🇺🇸
Thanks for watching, Doris!
Very good job dude, spécial thanks to show me how you made it from France.
Thanks for taking a look, Marc!
AWESOME materials for an important topic! Thanks for your creativity and heart!
Thank you for watching!
Thank you for helping a very good cause!

Magnificent Blades !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for taking a look!
Wow thats incredible. my heart goes out to the family. I have a family member who worked on the USS Eisenhower maybe 7-8 years ago, it's a small world I guess.
Bobby actually worked on the USS Carl Vinson. MY son works on the Eisenhower though. Thank you for watching!
Beautiful set of knives
Thank you for watching!
That was great, built, story behind it. Respect.
Thank you for watching.
Gorgeous, as someone who’s used a couple of Chads knives I can guarantee that he’s a metallurgical wizard, Plus, he’s a passionate veteran who goes way out of his way to draw attention to this issue
He and Paxton are great makers for sure! Thanks for watching
Wow! That is so pretty!
Thanks for taking a look!
This is so beautiful!
Thanks for taking a look!
@@TyrellKnifeworks I watch all of you videos! Great work!

Thanks, Erick! I appreciate you sharing it. ❤️
Amazing!

gorgeous!!
Thanks for taking a look.
What a beautiful set of knives and for an absolute outstanding cause !! Love the meaningful elements in the knives ! Be great if they could one day rename the project -- Project Zero !!!
I totally agree on “project zero”. That would be a great day. Thanks for watching
beautiful ...
Thank you! Cheers!
What an awesome project for a great cause! Beautiful knives! How do you go about dying the wood for the scales?
I bought the wood that way. Thanks for watching, Travis!
As always you do fantastic work and this means something to all veterans. It does to me anyway. Of the subject. What would a good chef’s knife cost that’s not too elaborate but great steel. As always thank you for the art you make
I’ll be offering my stand full tang ktip Gyuto chef knife (exactly like the larger in this set) in AEBL stainless for about $450-$500. Thanks for watching.
@@TyrellKnifeworks the next question I have is what is the length of that knife sir. I now use an 8 inch chefs knife.
@@ginojeffries4285 The larger on is a 10” k-tip Gyuto style chef knife.
@@TyrellKnifeworks thank you so much for replying.
awesome thing you guys are doing Denis. I just bought a couple stickers, wish i could afford to buy more .may 25th is my bday that suks i lost 2 friends to suicide 😓
Thats very unfortunate to have to associate with your birthday. Thank you for helping. I hope you win!
❤❤❤
Please help to support Bob's family and get a chance to win these knives by buying a sticker here: www.bobrankincustomknives.com/store/bobbys-sticker
How's that for a team effort 💯 👍
Thanks for watching, Philip!
The Damascus pattern looks like the stripes of the American flag to me, which is appropriate.
Yes, exactly what I thought as well! Thanks for watching
Sorry to bother you with a question to an answer I should know… what is the promo code for maritime? Looking to load up on some supplies. Thanks a bunch!
Sorry, I don’t have a promo code. Thanks for watching, Adam!
Eu quero muito aprender a fazer espadas e facas pra vender, parece ser muito legal

Tried to buy a sticker, don't you ship to the UK?
I’m not controlling the stickers I’m afraid. I’ll look into it and get back to you.
Try it now! i think i put an option to buy from the UK. Thank you!

What brand is your belt grinder???
I have two grinders, one is a Brodbeck and one is a Revolution by Housemade. Thanks for watching.
My brother served aboard the Eisenhower as an MP. I wonder if he knew Bobby. The State needs to be more respectful to our veterans. It can’t just use them as weapons at the beck and call of our plutocrats only to cast them aside like spent brass.
Every suicide is a preventable death and every homeless, neglected and/or suicidal veteran angers me. How dare the State purport to champion people it uses with such reckless abandon!
Thank you for drawing attention to this important issue. I’m sorry I can’t donate.
Bobby served on the USS Carl Vinson. MY son serves on the Eisenhower right now. Thanks for watching
It brokey heart to see that young man's photo. Looks very similar to my daughters navy photo.
On a brighter note, I love that you rounded the spine of the knives.
Only a few know how a day of cutting will give you a MASSIVE callus!
Thanks for watching this build, Greg!
It's been so long since a build video. I'm sorry it had to be a gloomy one. R.I.P.
There will be a few new build videos coming up soon! Thanks for watching.
Merci !
Merci beaucoup! J'apprécie que vous regardiez , Eric!

Shake and bake
using parts of a war machine to make something to help and remember a person who is a victim of war ... why they take there life? because they dont feel human anymore after what they sow and done ... so next time if you want to help make something antiwar please so we dont lose more brothers and sisters
You really should think about what you type in comments. These are soldiers who are protecting our country and they deserve more respect. You obviously have no concept of why we have a military so please stop commenting on things.
@@TyrellKnifeworks protecting our country !!! even after al this year wen even the people who started the war them self said that iraq and afganistan was a big lie you telling me "protecting our country" !! please just ask your self " why " 22 veterans lose their lives to suicide each day?
i have to live a proud and happy life if i went there for "protecting our country" not kill my self !!! ill just pray for them and there families
@@givara3134 STOP putting political decisions onto the soldiers. They defend the country, not make the decisions. Plus its RUDE to make such comments on a memorial build. Don't be a dick.
Beautiful work!!!!
Thanks for watching!
I know I’ve only met you once at Blade show. But man this is impressive. Truly amazing work and even better that you are freely giving your time to make everything for this! You are a great man.
