- What are some of the most critical pieces of gear and items that Bards will want to get as they play EverQuest? This video goes into must have items and some nice accessories pieces as well. Fun tip. If there is no mobs around, or they are all too dangerous to proc the overthere hammer, you can use singing steel helm to make an eye of zomm, click off the buff, then target it and attack with the worker's sledgemallet
Man.. I can't even begin to describe how much time I spent grinding *just* for my clickie collection. Aspect of the Brood is still my favorite illusion.
The Singing Short Sword was such a celebrity item back in the old days.
I love the presentation.... starting with the hardest item to get isn’t what I was expecting.
He did't start with the hardest item to get, he finished with the hardest item to get. Without finishing Vel you won't be getting the avatar weapons until you're past their usefulness.

Helm was the piece I use the most until GoD. Eye of zomm is VERY useful. lull pull scout etc

You forgot the Blood Orchid Katana from VP. It's considered to be best in slot for off-hand by raid pullers through Velious. If you get hit with hard dispell while pulling the dragon in EJ for a green scale, you can reSOW yourself since bards can run while casting.
I remember soloing the air elemental lute deep in the zone, ferubi?, in era…something like 7k to 9k hit points by training the phs into the adjancent room, mezzing until train left then charmburning it dead. The named being similar but the named would chew through about 3 mobs before it could be finished off, and it could snare you. I plan on trying this again to see how hard it is this go around, I remember it being quite difficult.
Phinny solo and the named in ssra basement Yelwinz? we’re some of my favorites too. Named that could be spawned in poj trials too dropped ft item, plus named skelli in povalor that summoned, so much fun to be had!

I spawn killed Va Xi Aten Ha Ra for 9 months straight with the worst luck, guildies got lots of goodies.. I did finally get my IVU. Worth it.
Not in era like few things in there, but Shadowsong Cloak from Shei Vinitras in Akheva Ruins, everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=8979 . Harmonize buff 9% perm singing skill buff stackable, as mentioned in another video.
Never once saw a Shadowsong Cloak when killing Shei in era for 3 months. But it doesn't get replaced for a long time. 2nd best you can get is the Voice of the Serpent from Disciple Yelwinz. Thank you for that though. Didn't mention that AA harmonize buff.
Don't know what xpansion it gets out in but drunkard stein is a must, instant click gate to PoK tavern with a 30m cd, on live I got one for all my toons and never died after that was on them lol. But can only be obtained on anniversary event,but easy quest to do, well worth it for everyone if able to do so. Had 3 accounts so that I have done at least 21 times just on that server lol... Actually I think it's a .5 sec fast, but close enough to instant..
Ribbon of empathy: summon charmed pet
Siren Song, Dagger of the Sea fron North Temple of Veeshan raid.proc stacks with Singing Short Sword.
Girdle of Living Thorns from Plane of Growth raid. Stacks with Singing Steal Bracer and Blazing Vambraces.
Yup the Temple Veeshan daggers are super nice. Used them all the way til Planes of Power. 60% haste on them. And the Tunare belt. Thank you for mentioning those.
One more item i forgot the add was Nature's Melody. Drops off Tunare in Plane of Growth.

Queation about the illusion key ring! Once you putt an item in like AoN is it soul bound or can you remove it at any time? And swap to another toon
If it's tradeable, you can pull it out and give it to someone else. I've done if before with the AoN
@@IonBlaze1 hey thanks that makes it much more valube to me.. more bag space is always needed. I am a proud owner of a mask of tinkering and id hate to stick that on a key ring and not be able to share it . What server are you on? Your live server?
Just wondering since you did add some Luclin+ items why you didnt add the velious bp with clicky Song of Travel for duration SoT instead of pulsing SoT?
Good question. Any song effect from a clicky is weaker. Clicky bard speed is slower than actually playing it. Instrument mods only effect played songs & not clickys.
@@IonBlaze1 that is why you use the 2min selos song that you get in luclin first and then slick the bp, you now have modded 2min selos and 5min SoT
Hey ayonic Is there a way to use the masks without having them in your backpacks ?
Yup they work from bags. You can also buy an illusion key ring to save you bag space. That's how I hold all of mine.

I mainly use stuff from EQ1 and EQ2's soundtracks. This one had all EQ2 songs like the Antonica Theme, Qeynos, Qeynos Aqueducts.

Sorry my brah this advice is no beuno. Peggy Cloak is better than SS boots. Yes SS boots can group but that duration is crap compared to Peggy Cloak. Also Voice of the Serpent from SSRA basement is clutch for Sing Mod.

This video is mostly misleading as you're more giving stats to aim for than specific items, I was expecting to see lute of the howler on here for instance. Most of this is meh obvious information to anyone spending any time in the bard channel on any progression server. Instunents? duh. Specific instruments should be there for their clickies. Invis cloak in luclin? there are better things to use that spot in the video for in-era. Your setup is good, your info is barely useful. I expect you can do much better.
yeah the invis cloak is fire. that and natures melody are my top clickies. and the helm with the floaty eyeball thing.
