    I’m just trying to learn how to keep a twist going well without melody. But that being said enjoying your videos and the mass amounts of information you have

    Had my bard at 50 ish and was not super bad at playing him, then made into a heroic lvl 85 and stuff changed so bit lost right now but will catch up i hope :)
    Bard is an amazing class though, can do so much.

      I wish you best of luck with your bard. This guide was aimed at people like myself who have no clue what auras, augments, tribute are. Game doesn't explain it all super well.

      @@IonBlaze1 I played since 2001 and a lot is still a mystery to me, like now when most my toons are 85-87 no idea where to go to level and such, the game is so huge and not every lvl 75ish zone is created equal :)

    TSS should be absurdly good for bards: boastful bellow xvi is 17.4k nuke every 18sec and can crit, lvl 71 get double attack (ferocity will work now), fade going to 6% and out of combat regen (will let you spam boastful in grps), tune stuck in your head aa seems to have been changed in 2019 to a passive that gives 6 seconds to all non-mez songs which would let you twist 7 songs

    love your videos, what in your professional bard opinion has been your favorite expansion so far

    • @IonBlaze1
      @IonBlaze1 Před 3 lety +1

      Hard to say a favorite. Classic had the best dungeons. It was the most fun to group in. Kunark had the epic, refined spell lines, & must have clickies. PoP lays the groundwork for pulling AAs & instrument gear. PoP was the best to pull in cause you don't need to break melody anymore.

    Great video! Very informative and liked the way you went through everything. I know you went through gear and explained things well but do you see any instruments that are worth swapping in/out? Or is that more fight specific for them now? Been awhile since I played bard but I remember always swapping in/out my instruments. Even with epic still had to swap around drum or horn here and there.

    • @IonBlaze1
      @IonBlaze1 Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you for the compliments. Instruments is a good question. The epic 2.0 modifier is so high that instruments don't really add much during this era. I could be wrong but I felt it wasn't worth losing DPS for super small song boosts. I never even used puretone discipline. Nothing seemed that important in this video's expansions. But, I do have my eye out for 2 instruments in Serpent Spine. Instruments definitely made a lot more difference all the way from Classic to PoP.

      Depends on how much you want to show off or burn through another mouse from all the clicking but that's just the click happy insanity talking.
      The key thought, should you fall into this carpal tunnel inducing mind set, is that an instrument only has to be in the hands the exact split second the song is finishing it's cast... 🎶
      "Did you just smack that raid target with a drum?" 🥁 said a guild member. Another says, "I could have sworn I saw a lute." 🎸Another bard, "How the hell are you 5 levels lower and out DPSing me?" ⚔️ Another looking at some parse of the fight, "He beat out the mages and he's doing almost as much damage as the wizards!"⚡Me, "I had Shaman procs and I'm grouped with multiple melee auras." 💪 Sends tell to the other bard, "SLACKER!" 🤣
      Do I suggest it? No, not really but it's fun every now and then.

      @@IonBlaze1 That's when I quit was right after plane of time. So I was constantly swapping my instruments out. Right now ranger is fun but I remember the power of the bard just made them so versatile with mez and aoe DD, fear kites etc. Just didn't know how much research I needed to be doing on instruments getting back on track with the bard. Thanks for the information I've started watching all of your videos.

    Quick question about live servers. Do you know what level the Bard 2.0 is soloable (or duoable)?

    • @IonBlaze1
      @IonBlaze1 Před 3 lety

      Thank you for the compliment. I couldn't give a good answer for what level is viable. The most we needed for the 1.5 & 2.0 was a group and a half of 70s. I would imagine that mercenary and lvl 80s-90s you could probably solo/duo it all.

  • @juliancate7089

    Question about DoN progression. There are a bunch of tasks that you have to do to gain faction with the faction you choose. At each stage, several of the tasks are listed as solo tasks. Can those tasks be completed by a group? I'm thinking of returning to EQ after literal decades away and if I do, I'm going to be using MQ2 to run a full group of 6, and the thought of having to do each one of those solo tasks 6 times is cringeworthy. So, can multiple characters start the progression quests and do them as a group? Secondly, each stage of faction progression has a task marked as a raid. Do these tasks require multiple groups (assuming the characters are within the level limits for DoN)?

    You said War March of the Muram is v2 haste, but you should note that it's v1 haste. It doesn't stack with other haste spells (though stacking is largely irrelevant since most or all players should have 40% worn haste by this point)

    • @devious00
      @devious00 Před rokem

      v1 is worn haste, v2 is buff (war march haste counts like a ench/shm haste buff, so it doesn't stack), v3 is overhaste.

    • @ALBrandes
      @ALBrandes Před rokem

      @@devious00 This is inaccurate, v1 is spell haste, v2 haste is exclusively the Ervaj line of spell/songs and is stackable haste (stacks with spell haste) up to the haste cap. v3 is Overhaste that goes above the haste cap up to 125%. Worn haste is a separate beast completely... you can have 4 types of haste on you. Worn + v1 + v2 up to a total of 100% haste, and v3 up to a total of 125% haste.
