Bards actually CANNOT increase their mana regen, period. It's 1/tick standing, 2/tick sitting, and that's it. Flowing thought effects, mana regen buffs, Meditate (which bards get and, btw, only helps with bard memorizing songs which would take FOREVER otherwise, cause mechanics) do not help with bard mana regen. Some other tips to add: - Bard Lull does not require Line of Sight, which makes their lull the best in the game. As long as they can target something, they can lull it, even behind doors and out of corners. - Bard Charm will not only disable casters but also break any roots/snares they cast on you. ALWAYS have Charm slotted whenever you run around outside, it will save you on many occasions. - Bard Charm comes with a "mem-blur" effect, meaning that the charmed mob will forget all damage it dealt and also all damage it took once its charm breaks. Killing a mem-blurred mob that's very low HP will net you full EXP, as if it hadn't been hit at all by other mobs. And yeah, bards are insanely needed for raids in Classic EQ. Many high-end guilds are crying for more bards right now on p99, because they are so important. They bring resist buffs, overhaste and attack buffs, mana regen + pulse, and then they can also kite... A raid needs to be mostly just bards.

To add my 2 cent about Ranger's pulling : their gold value to pull inside is taunt (no social aggro, work through wall and doesn't put you in combat unless you're doing another action). So as long as you're in range of 1 mob you will solo pull pretty easily.

Yeah I experimented with the origin thing because I was curious and I had so much fun after that. One time I pulled the guards in faydark because why not and almost died but it was so fun lol.
Great video! We need more though....There are many returning players because of the 20th anniversary and the new TLP servers. There have been so many changes to the classes that none of us know the current state of classes at max level. What is it like to play a Bard at level 110 given all their new songs and AA? What about Necromancers? Are they still ROT soloers or has it changed? It would be great if someone who knows the current state of all the classes would give an overview of them all so we can start classes knowing what we are getting into.
In Kunark you have Singing Steel Bracer damage shield effect that stacks at 45. Its basically the mid lvl magician DS. From the same set as the Eye of Zom helm worth the cheap price
I love the video but being a first timer playing a bard you have A LOT of hotkeys going through the basics of making hot keys for the bard would be great because im struggling to find a a good amount of info of how to create them the correct way. Thanks!

Just an observation.. how much do you think you'll actually heal in 18 seconds to make any difference? If you're fighting something you can't kill without taking a break, probably shouldn't risk it then.
it isn't about how much is healed during the 18 sec duration, it is about how much is healed/regen'd over the entire time. When twisting, in general, the 18 sec heal will always be up. So it isn't an 18 sec heal, it is a continuous neverending regen that never costs mana from healers. Plus, there are times when you take a hit that would be just enough to kill you, but if you had that regen going the whole fight you could have just enough to survive. Gotta look at the bigger picture. Bard heal = regen, not big heals.

Lol! It's super scary. Like running a 747 airplane haha. Honestly, it evolves over time. Every expansion, I've tweaked the macros.

It's gone. You can only do that on P99. Charm kiting is still available though. Have a whole playlist on it.
