    My 2 cents...I shot the Sheild Plus for two weeks out of the box, and love the gun, trigger is great. However..I stumbled upon the Apex Enhancement replacement trigger, bought it, had it installed by a gunsmith. Shot today for the first time since getting it back...JUST BUY IT! It is soooo good, no clickiness and crunchiness like the stock trigger, just smooth as silk. Again, just my 2 cents. 😁

    Reusing the STOCK trigger spring during install instead of the duty ts which comes with kit will give about 1lb lighter trigger pull....That’s the setup I have on my mine....

    Bought just the trigger shoe for my shield 9. It seemed as if it needed to break in for a few shots. It felt like the trigger safety would catch on the frame. After hundreds of dry fires it feels like an improved trigger all around.

    I got the Trigger and DC kit on my 1.0 - it's a world of difference! No more sloppy trigger and most of all the GRIT, it was HORRIBLE. Why can't S&W address that from the factory?

Putting the apex aluminum flat trigger in on Wed. Love the apex on my g20, also sights and trigger will be the same on both. Like same feeling the same.🤪

      Hello. I know I am late to the game on this....I am thinking of putting the APEX on my old SW Shield. The original. Its been my carry guy stock since I bought it. Should i or is it a waste of money at this point?

    • @Jimbowiejr
      @Jimbowiejr Před 3 lety

      @@chrisz8334 it's worth it just for the easier trigger pull and feels clean when you shoot. The newer versions such as the 45 just need polishing to get down to the 41/2 to 5lb trigger pull.

    I have just installed this kit on my m2.0 i have not shot the gun yet but im partial about the actual trigger. I fear if i need to draw it fast that and pull the trigger i will get it stuck on the safety.
    Its like i have to pull it with a propper technique to not pull the trigger back without collapse of the safty first. What i can say is its safer in preventing accidental fireing of the gun but again i am unable to fire it in a panic situation reliably as i would with the stock trigger shoe

    I put the polymer action enhancement trigger and duty/ carry kit for M&P 2.0 in my M&P 9 2.0 4.25. Fairly disappointing. The break is still all the way back. The only reason there isn't over travel is the trigger hits the frame all the way back. The trigger shoe feels good. That's th only thing I like about it. I couldn't recommend it.

    I have the Apex flat faced forward set trigger and sear kit for my M&P9 full size and its absolutely awesome. But I dont think I could pay the same exact price as I did for that trigger for this one. My M&P full size now has about a 3 lb trigger, which means it dropped about 4-5 from the factory trigger. This kit is $170 and my shield will still have a 6 lb trigger??? Man thats really unfortunate. If they came out with a 3-4 lb trigger kit for the shield I would definitely buy it.

    • @KSGunGuy01
      @KSGunGuy01  Před 6 lety

    Great video. I'm looking to purchase a NIB M&P Shield 9x19mm with NTS(no safety). I had a M&P 9mm model in 2014. It was a excellent CCW pistol. I'd look into the red Apex trigger for a new Shield. Maybe with a Hyve extended red mag. ✔ For ammo, I'd use Federal HST 124gr +P, Inceptor ARX, Critical Duty 9mm +P 124gr.

    @teddyjakeddy975 Před 6 lety

    I can't justify the cost. It seems like if you were going to install this trigger, you'd also want to put in a match grade barrel. By then you have the cost of a NEW Performance Center Shield.

    • @KSGunGuy01
      @KSGunGuy01  Před 6 lety

      To me, a match grade barrel in a gun that small won’t really prove to make much of a difference. The trigger, however, makes a huge difference. I owned a PC Shield a few years ago and really liked it but even that trigger wasn’t quite as good as the Apex. It was close, but not quite there. That said, the ports were awesome and it was a ton of fun to shoot. Thank you and cheers!

    Agreeing with the sights. Spartans are my favorite. Trigger on Shield 2.0 or any other carry pistol I will not change out. If I dont like the stock trigger I will not purchase.
    My question to you is about Magguts. I do have a g43 and changed out +1 with flat base and +2 with extensions which is the same height as the flush mag in Shield 2.0. Never had an issue with the g43 with magguts. Numerous rounds spent. I have yet to put the +1 in the Shield. I am not interested in the +2 for the Shield. Just to long in the grip. Have you tried the Magguts? If so what do you think of them? Great channel you have....enjoy them all.

    • @cinca0989
      @cinca0989 Před 4 lety

      Have +1 Magguts in all my Shield mags with hundreds of rounds through them and zero issues. Always have them loaded up and the springs still feed fine. I have the flush fit for carry and the extended mag as backup so I always have at least 18 rounds on me at all times. I wouldn't trust my life with them unless they ran 500 rounds minimum without issue and they passed the test. I think they released a new version which is even more robust so check them out!👍

    Not that I care about the reset on my carry pistol but the reset is not audible or tactile on my Shield with APEX kit and factory return spring. I put the APEX spring and it’s still the same. Just heavier trigger pull. People told me to bend the trigger bar in but I shot about 600 rounds since and the gun functions flawlessly enough so I feel good in carrying it. So I never bothered with the reset.

    @meangene4038 Před 6 lety

    Your video on the "flatty" for the 2.0 Compact actually got me to buy a trigger before I bought the gun. I didn't like doing that (I always like putting 200 rounds through a gun before doing any mods). But, your demonstration was absolutely, convincing. Long story, short..., It was so amazing, I also put this "Duty/Carry Kit" in my Shield 1.0 and love it over others available for Shield. I would say it's a very good trigger...not as jaw-dropping as the "Flatty," but still, damn good. I have noticed, APEX is consistent with the pulls. I insist on consistency and reliability and APEX really delivers with M&P. But, for Glock I think nothing even comes close Johnny Glocks triggers.
    Btw, you also turned-me-on to Ameriglo i-dot (already have on my 2.0 Compact) and think they'll be going on all my guns.
