Following the fiery Scottish Independence TV debate between Alex Salmond and Alistair Darling, we take a look at the best one-liners pitted by each side in their attempt to impress voters.
Both the leader of the Yes campaign, Alex Salmond, and the leader of the Better Together campaign, Alistair Darling, were keen to appear on their best form during the TV debate on Tuesday night.
They sought to persuade the studio audience, as well as Scottish voters watching on TV, that they should back their respective campaigns on referendum day on September 18.
During their fiery exchanges which covered a range of topics including currency, the economy, Europe and pensions, the two politicians tried to put forward their wittiest and most scathing put-downs.
