My wife’s and I first time in Jamaica and we stayed at Riu Palace Aquarelle on 5/20 through 5/24 and we enjoyed our stay. It was BEAUTIFUL and the staff was very nice and welcoming. The food was amazing and the entertainment was A+ every night! I’m looking to go back asap.

@@MrNanah38 I have been to 76 countries and counting. I was also a flight attendant. I have been to 16 RIUS in the Caribbean and Mexico, and I have seen MANY on CZcams. Stay in your lane

If your family can save enough this year. Please review Princess Grand Jamaica. I'm hoping to travel January 2025 would like a balanced comparison.
Princess hotel and resorts is opening their first restort in jamaica next month, you should be the first person to review, it will be the lagrest resort in the caribbean with over 2000 room, its so big they have only completed first phase, which will open next month, next phase will be another 1025 rooms.
Definatly going to be huge! Unfortunatly, we just came back from Jamaica (we're not locals) and vacation days and money are not unlimited. I wish! 😄 And I doubt Princess will fly us in! 🤣 But thanks for the comment, I'll take that as you like the video!
They haven’t opened and we booked it for August. Our travel company has cancelled our hotel and booked into this hotel instead hence why I am watching this review. I think it’s going to be ready until later this year.
@NishUnleashed it was to open June but it got delayed until Septmeber.

Thanks,the images near the end are from our room. You can also see a bit of it on our next video plus a bit more of the a la carte restaurants. It Is in french, but you will see a bit more of our actual time on the resort. It does have subtitles that can help understand our jibberish 😄
It was very nice the first two days then beryl came and all workers started being unnice we was stuck in the room while day with lunch bags ,flooded floors had to use the towel we bath with to soak up the water from the ceilings, couldn't move couldn't get towels couldn't get them to get the water up no towels .... Basically rob after repaying to stay everyone got charged different prices 2 nights 500 for two ... Then couldn't get a flight back had to stay at the airport spend 2000 on a flight that kept getting cancelled , 4 times one meal 20 Dollars a meal
Matter of fact I'm still here now and they're cutting the lights out and I suppose to have a flight at 10:15
Did you happen to notice how deep the pool area was at the slides?
@@keciaanderson3925 the minimum height for the slide were 1m20cm. William just made it at this time and the pool was deep enough that it was secure for the slides. How deep, I'm not sure, but I remember he was able to touch the floor jumping on his toes. We were always there with him and the lifeguard was really watching.
Do yo know if this resort provides curtesy transfer and or do you have any recommendations for transportation from airport to resort ?
All RIU resorts provide countries airport transportation
@@charlieb9293 I contacted customer service and was told that this exact location did not provide a curtesy transfer.
Ours was. We booked through a travel agency that included the resort the flight and transportation. I guess the best would be to verify with your travel agency before booking or contacting the hotel directly if you are booking directly with them.
This location looks very similar to RIU LATINO CANCUN
I’m not gonna lie the toilet not flushing and drainage issue in the shower turned me off… for brand new hotel… that’s a no no… other than that the vlog was amazing!
How deep is the pool on the swim suites
We haven't been in it, but I saw people about waist deep.
Do you know the name of the hotel next to RIU? They have a better beach😊
It's the Royalton Blue Waters. They share the same beach pretty much. Within 2-300m from each other.
How were the drinks? I was in the Riu in Cabos February 2024. The alcohol was definitely watered down and nobody was getting drunk.
@@y_e_i8213 everything we took was pretty good. It was really hot during daytime so we were drinking lots of the slushy drinks, but regular drinks seemed nicelly balanced.

Hello, I have a question for you. This is our first time in Jamaica and we are also going to RIU Aquarelle. On the other hand, I don't know the tips policy in Jamaica. Should you give tips to the restaurant? In US dollars or in Jamaican dollars? And approximately how much? THANKS :)
We went 2 times in Jamaica, and we gave tips in US dollars. There was other people tipping in Jamaican dollars as well, but the US dollars are widely used and probably easier to calculate as the Jamaican dollar so devalued. The store on site is even priced in US dollars. The amount depends on your budget and if you are happy with the service.

I'm Jamaican, and lives in Canada . When I go to the resort in JA, I tip $2-3 US dollars every meal - so less than $10 USD per day. I also leave $20 in the room for the housekeeper the last day when I check out .The workers work so hard and very appreciative 🙏🏾

Is RIULand (kid's Club included)?
As far as we know, its part of the Riu all-inclusive package. You can verify with them to be 100% sure.

Best Ever Buffet and restaurants were in Riu Tropical Negril hotel! Lobster and steak everyday except Thursday 😅❤
Why you use your bare hand fixing the toilet stuff and saying you have ocd never an ocd person would never touch that with their hands
