Looks like you had a super day! Another fantastic video ... but, Kelly, I have to say again that your AT Day 142 video is still one of my all-time favorite trail videos - by anyone! Your sheer joy, the beauty of the trail, the music ... I just rewatched it again, with tears welling up in my eyes again! Happy tears! BTW, I summited Katahdin with my son on August 24, and your '21 videos had a lot to do with my enthusiasm and excitement for the trail. Thank you!
Awesome video. I live right up the road in Sebastian.
I love Peanut Island! We went snorkeling there when we were staying on Singer Island. That would be a great place for you and James to go camping when the weather gets cooler! Btw, your meals looked delicious! You have great luck picking out good restaurants! I love Key Lime Pie too! Couldn't find Key Lime pie anywhere in Key West when we were there. Everywhere had it dipped in chocolate on a stick, but I couldn't bring myself to eat Key Lime pie on a stick!
That, bit about you and Jesus looking over the water, was ultra beautiful. Thank you.
I am a mountain person but that beach sunrise was beautiful and peaceful
Hey Nine Lives! Loved the vid, especally the snorkeling.
You deserve a break once in a while and this video reflects your love for the outdoors. You could have your own travel channel on Florida, just need to sell it to a tv channel producer. The underwater and beach shots were awesome. I hope before you go back to Arkansas you get to experience the beaches on the panhandle, they are unique and stunning. Stay well and enjoy.
Awh thanks David! Hopefully I’ll be able to make it out there!
I always look forward to your next adventure. Big fan of your channel!
Thanks Christopher! Glad to have you here!
I know I have said it many times but girl you do the best videos. Never get tired of watching you. And I don't know how you can eat so much and look so good. Take care be safe can't wait till the next one.
Thank you so much Fred!
Great Video ! I spent the last four days at one of our lakes in the area! rained on us... still enjoyed being in the hills next to a lake !
Glad you enjoyed your weekend, Tom! Sometimes rain can be a vibe 🌧💧
Beautiful video! Loved the beach and island footage. Food looked amazing too.
Loved those sunrises on the beach, and to hear you speak about Jesus. A lot of people don’t speak about their faith in public so it was nice to hear.
Just a super episode, you visited some of my haunt’s from many years ago, a little more populated now than then! Total enjoyment, thanks!
I was born in Rockledge, moved away, and a series of fortunate events brought us back to Eau Gallie. A sunrise on this Intracoastal island (between the Indian River Lagoon and the ocean) is heaven.
@ 20:01 you said you wake to view a magnificent sunrise. Reminds me of my work (of yesteryears, I’m retired now) .. I worked in a hospital - 16 years I was on the Night Shift and made me realize something. With all the patients in the hospital, some of whom will never see a sunrise, I have the pleasure of going to my fav park, watch the horizon go from dark sky turn into a bright sunny day and tell myself “I’m lucky to be here to see a new day dawn and enjoy it!” So you wake up to a magnificent sunrise, be glad you’re there to enjoy it. Praise Jesus
Your videos always make me hungry lol Great video! :)
Hemingway's Tavern is one of our go to restaurants when we are out that way near the theater. I am just north in Satellite that would have been funny to run into you while vlogging. Hope you enjoyed our piece of paradise. If you make it over this way again, Kayak the 10k islands in Cocoa Beach during the bioluminescent, They have tours but you could venture out on your own.
Great video! I love that you are living your life and not waiting on others to live it with you. Keep living and keep exploring!!
9:29 - Colorful small fish in the water are so beautiful to see. Food finds were a real treat.
Love this video. What a beautiful sunrise. Love you guys. California Joanna
In June-ish, you can go out on the beach at night and watch the sea turtles come ashore and deposit their eggs! Absolutely amazing!
Bucket list!!!
@Kelly Hays Hikes When you go, the turtle shells are phosphorescent. Run your fingers over them and you'll see momentary green streaks! Check out the eyes! The amount of exertion it takes to dig the nest and lay the eggs shows in the eyes! Amazing!
My hometown! My first trip to Peanut Island was in 1963. I was a cub scout in third grade. Florida is way too hot and flat for me. Thirty years was enough. Now I'm in Wyoming trying to spend some of my life along the Continental divide. I do miss the S Florida stormy gray skies and rainstorms'.
I'm getting a lot of pleasure watching these Florida videos. Very enjoyable. I have friends here in Canada soon leaving for Florida, Tampa Bay area I think. I am staying behind for snowshoeing hopefully.
I just subscribed, watched the Ft Desoto / Shell Island video the other day, it was great, I love going to the state of FL. I laughed at you comment about food reviews... anyway I look forward to your adventures.
Thank you for watching 😁
Way to muscle up the kayak! The mini restaurant tour was awesome. 5:50 thru 6:10ish really grabbed me; ominous. The ocean has a strong serenity like mountain summits. You earned this getaway with your blood. Dang noseeums.
It is amazing I’ve been there a couple times just remember to check their website to check for jelly fish because there is seasons and in these seasons you can barely even swim without spotting one right next to you

I do it all😂🤣
@@kellyhays23 And do it well !
I stayed at that same hotel in singer island, there is a rock cluster just north of it about 30 yards off the beach that's great snorkeling at slack tide on calm days, Phil foster has a man made snorkeling trail that you paddled by on your way to peanut, I lived in mel beach in the early 90s, it was so much fun fishing and surfing 🌊 great bug out trip for you, awesome 🤙
So cool!!! Thanks for that info! I def saw that rock cluster off the hotel beach!
@@kellyhays23 Everyone used to dive or snorkel the big bridge at Phil Foster, it's wild going deep in the channel on a day with good visibility, there are lots of big fish around the bridge columns, it's at least 20 feet deep, and amazing. 🐡🐠🐟🦈
Home for me. We live about 3 miles away. Just climb in the boat and we can be at Peanut Island in 20 minutes. Have spent many weekends there hanging out on the sandbar.
those beach sunrise shots are A-MAZING!
Good ole Hilton! W the fire alarm. Wish I could say that’s a rare thing for them. Love your channel and makes me want to do a better job on my hotel videos! Subscribed ❤
You should get a small step ladder mounting kayak onto car
Its kinda funny seeing someone drive through your town on CZcams! If you're still in town, hope you weather Nicole safely. Cheers!
Thank you for the magnificent sunrise, my favorite part of the day! We don't get those in SWFL. Let me know when you come to explore Charlotte County, Punta Gorda, Boca Grande! Lot's of great kayaking! Oh and I loved the GD flipflops I saw in another video 🔉🎸
Great video thanks for sharing
Kelly, Another great video. Stay tuned for next week's video here titled, "How I escaped TS or Hurricane Nicole". Stay safe. It's going to be a tad breezy and wet for a dew days.
Good morning Kelly. What can I say? These videos keep getting better and better - with superlative content and spectacular production values - motivational, heartwarming and inspiring. Thanks for sharing. 😊
Thank you Richard!!!
@@kellyhays23 You're quite welcome of course, Kelly. Stay in touch.
Such a relaxing video, i need to go to the beach this weekend now 😉 Much love from Australia 👍
As someone who roughs it quite a bit up here in NY - it is nice to treat yourself sometimes! Glad you made the choice to do just that and great video! Keep up the fun times my friend.
Good to see you over here on the east coast. Jensen Beach Florida here. Unfortunately we have tropical or hurricane Nicole hitting us Wed. 😎
Praying for y’all!
I have that place on my list to check out. That really is a hidden gem. Thank you for sharing your adventure.
Hope you are enjoying Florida...yes we have the heat, but we also have the east coast beaches, west coast beaches, rivers and springs...can't beat that. And after October, we have beautiful weather
Another great clip
Looked like.perfect moment sunrise, the waves were just right.
See any more Gary's?
Great looking food.
That is shockingly funny that I would click on this today. I had never even heard of that hotel, and probably not Riviera Beach either, but I am taking 4 clients from over here in Ft. Myers to that very hotel this afternoon! I've been driving all over Florida for 15 years with various transportation jobs, but I believe this will be my first time on that island. I'm stunned at the coincidence!
I was raised in Indialantic. Loved that you loved it!
A shame you didn't get to visit Cayo Costa here on the west coast before the hurricane. Right now the Peace River is still too flooded to be safe. Telegraph Creek might be an option but it's heavily wooded so blowdowns might put a nope on that one. If you can get up to Juniper Springs and Alexander Springs you will have your mind blown by the clarity of the water and sheer beauty.
I've been canoeing/camping/kayaking in Florida for about the last 40 years and there are still places I haven't made it to. LOL
Just happened upon this channel a week ago and love the vibe. Now you stayed at a motel in satellite Beach that I've been going to for years to get away and surf and fish. That place is a hidden gem 💎
She seems kinda cool, right? ;)
Happy Thanksgiving!
Ate lunch at Hemingway’s last spring. Met some friends there. Had the exact same lunch, minus the pie. Agree that it was very good and do plan to go back when in the area (live near UCF). Digging your channel. Came up on my recommendations. Respect your drive to get out and experience life and new places.
Heck yes that’s awesome! Welcome to the channel!! :)
You sure you ain't channeling hiker hunger? You're making us all hungry for more.
Beautiful Sunrise!
I grew up in South Florida in West Palm Beach. We would go to Singer Island all the time as well as Peanut Island, which back then they it was a primitive camping. It was just a island with no accommodations. I now live in Arkansas for the past 10 years but I miss Florida so much. We are thinking about moving to Weeki Wachee Fl in a couple years.
Oh damn that sucks about your GoPro, but it still looked like a fun day out! We are glad you are able to make the best of the situation your in and still enjoy yourself. Keep up the great content Kelly!
Thank you so much!
I so so love watching your life as it unfolds!! Your rock my darling♡Thanks for taking me along
Thank you for being here Suzan!
Loved this video. Gave me some good ideas. You should check out Tarpon Springs back on the west coast and go to the Sponge Docks.
Yay you made it down to Palm Beach County!!! My home! You should do the Ocean To Lake Trail while you're in FL. 62 miles part of the Florida Trail goes from Lake O to Hobe Sound Beach. Its my backyard! Welcome to Palm Beach!!!!! XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
Florida is awesome! I don’t think I’d ever leave
now we have Nicole coming are way🤣
😅😅
When there is a Hurricane and the Ocean is a Washing Machine a Swell gets Formed coming through the inlet I've Surfed 4 ft swell off Peanut Island
Great stuff you’re making me regret leaving FL. Love your shades. What’s brand??
You got me wanting to wanting to go to the beach and I’m not that crazy about the beach . Thanks for sharing your time with us.
You should take a cruise and document it 😊. Cape Canaveral or Tampa! 🎉
I love this idea!!!!
So glad you spent time in Melbourne!
Me too! I loved it so much
Yeah you deserved this weekend, glad you enjoyed it. You put together a beautiful video, thanks!
That was great! Definitely better than sitting in a camper/trailer with no power boiling water....lol absolutely gorgeous place to be, good choice.
Oh wait!!!!!! Go camping in the Dry Tortugas!!!!! 50 miles off the coast of Key west. Take the Yankee Clipper (a high speed catamaran) to the island right from Key West. Rough camping for a very limited number of people. VERY remote. We slept on the beach on a sheet and a pillow with zero bugs. Zero. It would be unforgettable. Take the snorkel equipment and see giant snook, 5 pound lobsters and other extremely protected stuff around the fort. It's like $11 per night and magical. Plus you have the fort all to yourself after the other 60 people go back to the mainland.
Great idea🙌🙌🙌
lolz lots of water smells or tastes terrible in florida. I think its the iron in the water. I lived there as a child, before moving to San Diego at age 15. Thanks for another great video! Still waiting for belly dancing! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Watching here from ireland
Thank you for being here!
This video was sincere and reflective. Three things one can pray for one each day. First, be thankful for the day. Second, seek an opportunity to help someone. Third, the ability to focus on what you are able to do, not what you are unable to do.
Thanks for enjoying life and ignoring all the “beeeee saaaffffeeee” people!
Did you read the history of peanut island it’s pretty interesting. It’s such a party place on weekends now.
You should easily build the strength to lift the kayak after a few goes at it.
Yeah I just throw it up there these days haha
One of my fav jams from the 80’s at 12:37 🙌🏼
Now its Kelly Hays Hiking, Hotel and Restaurant Review channel. Tourism Florida should be hiring you to promote this magnificent place!
Maybe a few helpful tips or ideas for ur return trip! It seem silly but the best snorkeling at Phil Foster’s park is the reef under the Blue Heron Bridge know for the seahorse, bunker is history that I think isn’t accessible and is the reason for the man-made island it’s a shame, manatee lagoon as an excellent museum and on chilly days is Common to see a few. Within 25 minutes of the Area there is many parks with activities seems u like as kayaking hiking biking and the love for outdoors, like John d. MacArthur, Dubois, Jonathan Dickerson with camping, Riverbend park is a like for me early mornings bring deer and Turkey sightings but if kayaking down to trapper Nelsons there are two weirs and attention to water flow is crucial because of paddling back up stream. I enjoy the videos of my hometown and State keep up the Aventures! PS. When traveling through Riviera Beach do just that with windows up and doors locks no side street. East of the bridge Singer Island is more then safe if u got me.
This video is amazing! 👍🏻👍🏻 can I ask, do you need a dive flag to snorkel here?
Looked like a nice break 👌
You should get some stickers made for your channel so you can hand them to people who ask.
Great video
Love that idea
Still love watching you after your hikes!!! Where did you get the chair in your kayak? I would love to get one for mine!! Have a great day!!
It came with my kayak! :) crescent kayak is the brand
@@kellyhays23 awesome!! Thank you!!
A few videos ago you saw a shark or dolphin swimming on the surface and you wanted to know how to tell the difference. My wife asked me the same question in Hawaii and I told her a sharks tail fin is pointing up and down, and a dolphin's tail fin is flat. 😉
Love a girl who loves her food ! Also I really enjoy your editing , well done …
Thank you
Honorable Florida Girl. I hereby officially anointed you this as of 5:11. From a Florida beaches and coasts guy🙂. gorgeous as always. Thank you
Thank you so much !!
Makes me want to slow down and take a chill day too 💞
Cool video 👍🏻 another one 🌀 coming unfortunately stay safe ❤
How come you don't load your kayak flat and face down on the roof rack? Seems like using the j-rack might be tougher an noisier due to the wind resistance.
I thought that at first too but I really like the j rack after two years of using it
“Diamond in the rut”lol. I mean, it makes sense, but, I don’t think that’s how it’s said😊. And you hiked…Kelly Hays Hikes! You hiked up the beach to that restaurant! And it looked like it was worth it❤
Hi Kelly love your Video and Amazing Beautiful Awesome scenery Most Awesome 😊
If we ever cross paths in Florida or any underwater destinations / places, I will introduce you to scuba if you want to check it out.. I used to snorkel, and it is convenient and really cool... Just guessing but I think whenever you are in a interesting and related area, you should check out scuba diving, even if it is just shallow..
Scuba diving freaks me out. I’m on the fence if I want to try it haha
Ugh, I hate J racks for kayaks. Malone makes a SeaWing Stinger Combo, it's more of a kayak cradle with a rear "arm" that extends out for easier kayak loading. I just got one but haven't tried it out yet...
Really? I love mine!! I’d be interested to see that set up tho!
@@kellyhays23 Maybe it's just the j racks I had, folding ones.
Definitely a video worth watch twice..girl
Kelly, have you met Kyle "Mayor" Rohrig? He's from Florida. A triple crowner plus. An incredible writer. Bomb fisherman, too. Y'all should go deep sea fishing.
Florida is so beautiful.
Hi kelly!!
Good preference ❤
Did you get a chance to see the Kennedy bunker while you were on Peanut Island?
No I didn’t :(
That has been closed since 2017.
I thought you had a Jackey and panels to charge your devices?
No I don’t have that set up yet. I do have a little 200w jackery that kept my phone charged but not enough to keep my laptop charged like I need it for editing/uploading
@@kellyhays23 Yeah, I have the same and need an upgrade. Ask and you might receive from Jackery for a review.
The yacht Kelly wants ( 8:00 ) aaaannnd the yacht Kelly can comfortably afford ( 7:46 ) 😄. I am curious what the one night special deal was at the Hilton as I just looked at their normal rates for that very hotel and its certainly not in the economy rate range and not surprised in the least given its location and chain name. By the way Kelly you might have to start a second channel, "Kelly Hays Restaurant Review Food Coma Channel" !
Lol I can’t afford either yachts😂😂😂😂 I got a sweet deal at that Hilton with some points! Also I kinda like that idea lol there would be unlimited content there hahah
@@kellyhays23 That's too bad, you could have named it the S.S. Minnow ( if you know where that name comes from, it certainly earned that name ! ). And as to the food on this video, oh did you ever have some fantastic food set in front of you and I'll bet people planning on heading to the Sunshine State or live there were making notes on which restaurants to try out.
Nice kayak load. It looks like a total pain and a shoulder injury waiting to happen but you did it!
Hahah it’s really not that heavy. Only 50lbs it’s just hard to maneuver bc it’s so big
Hey Kelly, thanks for responding. Also if you get another job in California near Santa Barbara come and camp at Jalama beach park and I'll hook you up with a good site with a great view. I retire from being the park ranger there at the end of March and t would be cool to meet you and James.
Enjoyed Your video but have a question for you. Would you give specific instructions on how to set up a Patreon account for you please?
🤡🤡
Hey I’m not sure how to explain that on here but they will take you through the process step by step on the website :)
Hello I'm a first time seeker looking forward on your missions because I love the easy life my kids are hunters and fishing gathering but have enough for a feed share the rest out to other it's good to see other doing the same beautiful sweet heart 🌈🥰💯♥️✝️🌎🌟🙏 amen cool
So much to do in Florida, nice
