Believe me, he is serious and this is not a scam. But i learned more than saving cpu by watching this awesome lesson from this awesome teacher to be honest. Regards :)
First step: press Win+G to open up Windows 10's Game Bar, then confirm that FL Studio is a game, go to the options and activate the Game Mode for FL. The Game Mode makes games run more fluently by limiting programs in the background but works for DAWs as well. Second steo: close your Chrome Browser while producing. It'll rob your processing power even though the Game Mode should prevent that.
Here's another tip I discovered just today! Some plugins (like Vocodex) have the option to turn "threading" on. For synths you'll find it in the "wrapper settings -> processing" tab. Turning it on will make the plugin make use of multiple cores! Also, having dope samles cost no CPU! So check out this FREE sample pack: cym.fm/2U26OOe
also you can click and hold that button in the top right of edison to drag the audio you just recorded directly into the playlist. I'll right click + I to make a new arrangement lane and place the audio directly under the MIDI and the mute the midi.
that's what i do most of the time :P works like a charm. I never use it for freezing unless I KNOW i'm not going to change anything though. I usually change stuff like 1 note in an arp or melody even after the final mix and master, so that would bring me a bit of trouble.
You probably dont give a shit but if you're stoned like me atm you can watch pretty much all of the latest movies and series on Instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my girlfriend for the last few months :)
I like how you're just under the 10 minute mark! Props for not reaching out for the extra ad revenue like most CZcamsrs. Does make me wonder why you talk a bit slower though. It's ironic, funny and I got a good kick out of it :) great content and solid tips!
Duuuuude!!! Thank you so fucking much!! I've been having so many problems with the crackling noise and EVERY other tutorial on how to get rid of it is all the same but yours actually helped me A LOT!!! Thank you so much! Now i can finally stay in the FL window whilst listening... Dubstep takes a lot of different sounds and plugins like Serum and Massive makes it so fucking hard, and normally i just minimize the window, then it won't be distorted... But this totally helped me!! I owe you so many fucking beers, bro!!!
Lmao! I always enjoy your videos. Sadly, people like you don't get much attention tho. I could see the amount of hardwork you've put into. Kudos for that bro! 🙆
Another great tutorial by the great Tallchief. Amazing workaround with the fluid freezing, my projects run so much smoother now! Wonder where you got the inspiration for that one.
This video blew my mind! I have been reworking a song that I gave up on (because of the cpu issues making it unworkable) and this fixed all my issues! thank you so much!
Bro you just earned yourself a new subscriber. I already knew 90% of this but the way you got straight to the point with everything and yet was still very detail oriented with it all made me oddly calm compared to most tutorials stress me out and don't keep my attention long enough. #MISTA808
Freezing tracks is very useful. For example, you make an arpeggio in the piano roll and you really like it, so you'll stick with it and you know you won't make any changes, beside adding effects on the mixer channel. You jut use this method and you'll have an audio clip that prevents CPU bleeding. The arpeggio will stay unable in the playlist, in case you change your mind.
God bless you Dylan, I clicked on the video and did see the channel then I heard someone talking and I thought "That sounds like Dylan" *Thinking In My Mind* "God please be Dylan" then I look and IT IS! Yay thx Dylan Literraly the first tip fixed it for me
Using "Sends" also makes your project less compatible for "Multi-Threading" processors. Using BUS and Sends (Which shares with other tracks) gets processed by only a single core which makes your project more heavier to play. So BUS only if it's required or if BUSing is your only workflow then try not to route them all to an empty common track. Google "Make FL Projects Multi-Threading compatible" for more info and keep it in mind for your future projects. Good luck and Happy producing :)
Thank you so much for putting up this video your sorted out my cpu overload problem that has been winding me up on fruity loops but now its running more smoothly my tune im doing is and ive not got crackle as ive been using quite a few samples but now the cpu is much lower so thanks again.
If you're having trouble with excessive heat in your laptop, the best solution is a cooling stand, cost you like $20-25. Worked wonders for this very problem for me. There is the issue of added fan noise if you're recording audio, though. Also, yeah, cleaning the dust cake off my heatsink was immensely beneficial. Can be simple or a giant nearly-impossible pain in the ass depending on the design of the lap top casing.
that putting fl on real-time worked instantly even to the point i could put buffering back on 512 where it belongs thank you my guy i liked and subbed.
Very interesting. I wollowed a few of the tips and that DID make a big difference. Fluid freezing with Edison technique is not clear to me though. My suggestion is to cover it step by step in a specific tutorial. Thanks a lot!
Thanks resampling quality was the main issue for me i had it on the highest option. Would reccomend this as the first step for those whom are having CPU overload issue, all the other steps where futile until this option.
you speak in a way where its hard to tell if you're being serious
love u tho
Believe me, he is serious and this is not a scam. But i learned more than saving cpu by watching this awesome lesson from this awesome teacher to be honest. Regards :)
ye i know, its just the way he talks in this video, its not clear if he's about to just randomly drop a meme
he"s fuckin lyin, pice of shit ,
Block the fan off. The heat gives a good distortion effect 😊
That CPU went over 9000
20 bits of CPU. lmao
The plugin level is off the charts!
DieEneGozer 64 bits
over 9000!!! reeeeee....
mine is still 100

Thanks for the tips man, helps a lot
