I have never used a pump after 30years with type 1 and I am now using the Omni 5 it is a true Game changer… my sugar control and levels are fantastic.. The only snag to me is there is no app for iPhone users… Any window of time it will be available…?

I can't wait to try the Omnipod 5. I have gone 39 years on strictly MDI. The Omnipod 5 is the only pump that has piqued my interest enough to want to give a pump a try. I've been going through the insurance obstacles at the moment since the start of June ‘22. Needless to say, I'm exhausted but persevering and staying hopeful.

Her answer on Medicare coverage was quite a song and dance. I turn 65 in January. I have a broker looking into this. My understanding is that Omnipod is only covered under part D. Inexplicable why it’s not under part B like other pumps. Nonetheless it seems that it would be quite cost prohibitive on Medicare D.

I’m sorry they do not cover it… But any pump will be good until it is covered…

Because the Omni pod is removable and the competition is connected with a tube and is seen as permanent where as Omni pod i seen as temporary.
