visited Munich back in like 04 when Allianz was still under construction and saw both Bayern and 1860 play matches at the Olympic Stadium, it was pretty cool - tickets were like 7 euro after the 1860 match there was this massive group of fans all walking from the Olympic Stadium into the Eissportzentrum, so I just kinda tagged along and caught the 2nd and 3rd periods of a hockey game going on
That's a cool trip! There's a big overlap between 1860 fans and munich hockey fans. When Bayern Munich players or coaches watch a hockey game in the Eissportzentrum they usually get booed 😅

Standing Kop for ice hockey sounds like an awesome idea, I'd like to try that! My favourite I think is the Grunwalder Stadion despite it being a bit old, it seems to blend in nicely with the city around it and has some character. I love the roof over the Olympiastadion and Olympiahalle, the 60s and 70s were a horrific era for architecture but these ones stand out as designs that are atheistically pleasing.

And I’ve just done Oktoberfest with der lovely Munchen Damen. Drank about 20 pints in 48 hrs. Barely a hangover as their Paulsen brew is made from spring water. Apparently
