Calming Cartoons from the other room, and it's raining outside

Draw comfort from calming cartoons and music from the other room. These oldies are slightly muffled (other room) and relaxing sounds of rain outside compliment the glistening refraction of rain water dripping down the windows, a gentle moon outside providing a tranquil and sleepy source of light. This other room genre composition includes real cartoons from the not so distant past, you may even recognize a few.
I have a thought about why some of us find these other room/and it's raining outside videos so relaxing and validating. Many of us listen to white noise to drown out extraneous noise or add a grounding force to our day or night. When we add things like voices, music, or other sounds from the other room; we're perhaps assuring our primal self that we're not alone. That other humans are near us, that activity is happening somewhere nearby. Maybe that helps us feel protected, safe. It may just make us feel like there are others like us. That we're not alone.
Know this. No matter what you struggled with today, or what you'll face tomorrow; you deserve peaceful respect. You deserve credit for all you've accomplished and you deserve a good nights rest. Whatever brought you here, we're glad you found us. Consider joining our community of calm (subscribe).
