Awesome! 🔥🔝🤙🏻😀
thanks!
@@emergencyawesome no problem 👍🏻
Charlie your the best thank for another great video acolyte look amazing can't wait for it have potential to have the same depth as andor ,but in the in a totally different direction👍🏽.
I can't wait
Dude Charlie. I swear I've never cared about CZcams notifications until u started ur channel. Always the best informed videos!! You people here all know he's the best give dude some likes...
Thanks man!
Well it's much deserved brah.
This is the Way
Well informed, structured, quick and easy to listen to
Being that Charlie has been one of the largest most successful CZcamsrs around and his videos all get 100k plus likes, I think we give him his well deserved due
Thank you for your non spoilery breakdowns this is why I watch your stream can’t wait for this series they’re choosing good timelines with plenty of room to tell good stories that aren’t too limiting love to see Keane reeves as a Jedi in this but he would be a great revan love the idea of Tera’s Kari style martial arts in this venastra Rowh and burryagacfrom my high republic books I can’t believe they’re using a;lil these characters from my fav books omg I can’t believe it’s happening
I’m pumped for this but when are they really gonna give us what we want and show old republic massive sith army vs Jedi/republic armies slugging it out big lightsaber battles on the ground with star ships blowing up in the sky like the KOTOR cinematic videos 😢
After all the trailers and reveals, it sounds like they do have plans to do more series and movies set earlier in the timeline!
I don't think Disney is ever going to give us this they keep trying to over explain stuff I don't need more palpatine 100 yrs is nothing
@@oggrimes164 exactly I don’t care to see the rule of 2 I wanna see the schism, the Jedi civil wars, hell the closet I wanna see to the rule of 2 is banes life
@@emergencyawesome Yeah, doing movies or shows for Kotor would be like printing money.
@@npierce14 straight up dude! give us some ajunta pall exar kun or fredon nad type stuff
I wanna see Keanu as REVAN!! You know Keanu would bring 100% to the action scenes and lightsaber battles. Which is what Disney star-wars sorely needs. They can literally just do a 1 to 1 of the first game over 3 movies and they would sell tickets like crazy.
I would prefer the first two movies be the Tales of the Jedi comics that Kotor was based on (although referred to at various points throughout the game, so still within the game's canon). The next movie being an adaption of Kotor 1, followed by Kotor 2. Finally, doing a movie of the unused script for the Kotor 3 that was cancelled.
But yeah, if Keanu would be an excellent casting for Revan. Although if they wanted someone younger (part of Revan's thing was that he was a younger Jedi knight who greatly influenced others in the order to join him in the Mandalorian Wars), he would be a great Ulic Qel-Droma as well (they might use makeup and/or some CGI for the early Ulic, but he looks a ton like the older Ulic who was cut off from the force and trained Vima Sunrider).
@@calebowens693 Oof, Tales of the Jedi was such a clusterfuck though and when you think about it, had character development from light to dark that occasionally took like one issue. It's a too grand and too crazy story for a solid film adaptation imho. I'd prefer something smaller. Mandalorian Wars would be amazing though, a prequel trilogy to KotOR would be super-interesting imho. Don't need adaptations of stuff that is already there personally.
And as much as I love Keanu, he's a bit too old and too stiff when it comes to drama. He's a great action star but he's not really what I'd want for an interesting Revan. For Revan, I'd think of... maybe Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. I could also see a Japanese actor play him tho.
@@njux1871 use the revan novel for the final film. it also shows a cameo of vaner at the end
@@njux1871 Fair enough. Part of my love for Tales of the Jedi is nostalgia, which might mean a screen adaption wouldn't go very well.
Light to dark in one issue can go either way. Crado turned very abruptly. Ulic Qel-Droma's fall was when he was wounded in a Sith location and couldn't heal with the light side, so resorted to the dark side to survive (but was fundamentally changed by doing so). Yeah, it felt odd with Crado, but was interesting with Ulic.
Gotta admit, I'm not familiar with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. If you think he's a good choice, though, I'd be open to a plethora of options that I'd never heard of.
Bro he's almost 60
Anyone else mind blown that that was Daphne Keen?! Been waiting for more from her as she was amazing in Logan 👏👏👏
Watch His Dark Materials, then.
@@Trypswitch I didn’t know she was in that. It’s just wild that she’s grown. It doesn’t feel that long ago that Logan came out.
@@Trypswitch agree, she's good in HDM, excited to see her in Star wars
Bane wasn’t a specific sith race either though:o He was a miner that pretty much had the same situation Andor did in the first episode but ends up joining the military which leads him to joining the sith academy. After reading ancient sith texts assuming about Revans Rule Bane begins to realize the current sith in power have tainted the ways so taking advantage of a massive battle between Jedi and Sith Wipes out the remaining Sith at the battle with a bomb putting into play the rule of two once again.
Hoping to see Plagueis or his master in this series.
We'll see references and easter eggs for him. Just based on when this takes place.
Plagueis was born around this time, more likely see tenebrous going to plagueis home world to fetch him as a child
Palagueis should have been the villain of the sequel trilogy. It was all teed up for them and they blew it.
@@daves9355
Technically george made the sequel antagonist a dark being who existed 100 000 years before . No one ran with it
@@zachcarter3186 That would have been much better. Even having it Palpatine could have worked if it wasn't presented in the most absurd fashion.
Would love to see the start of the Jensaarai cult of dark jedi that tried to follow the original Tython Jeedai understanding of the balanced Force. So in a way it's a gray Sith(not gray Jedi) in which they use both light&dark side powers but leaning towards the light side and not a fallen jedi. In the novels&comics it was mentioned multiple times that this gray Force users cults happened but both sides don't like it even existing so they wipe them out.
It is interesting that Obi Wan's brother could be out there. I don't know the lore about the name "Ben." But maybe that was Obi's brother's name. Obi Wan may have took that name after order 66. Does Obi Wan really remember his own name or maybe he only remembers one name and isn't quite sure if it is his brother's or his own. Easy enough to just use his brother's name. His brother prolly changed his own name to prevent people coming to look for him since Kenobi would be a red flag looking for anyone looking for Obi Wan. Even more, did Obi Wan take his brother's name to shield his brother from being searched out to get to Obi Wan? Maybe Obi Wan secretly stopped by his brother's home on the way to Tatooine and told him,
"You have to disappear or the will come for you to get to me."
"Obi, I know a few places and I'll change my name-"
"-No. Don't tell me. I take your name, Ben. Then no one will look for you.... and if they come for me.... I'll be ready."
"Good luck."
"You, too. Stay safe. And, maybe there will be a time when the name Kenobi will not be hunted."
They part ways but not before a pause to look at each other. Almost like they are both trying to remember what they look like to never forget. Both knowing this is the last time they will see each other. Always brothers. But, from now on, always apart.
Small note on the Darth Bane part: He did not invent the rule of two to keep the sith under the Jedi's radar but to concentrate the dark side's power into as few Siths as possible. He found that the dark side would be somewhat split between all living Sith, which is why he ultimately used the thought bomb.
That's at least what I gathered from the Darth Bane Trilogy. :D
I believe it’s because the sith would kill each other when they were suppose to be enemies of the Jedi
So only have a master and an apprentice would help with that
@@noxisabyss7706 Yeah, that was his whole thing, he was so irritated and angry that the Sith would infight to an extreme level that it's why He and Zannah started killing them and made the rule of 2 to focus the goal of the Sith, which was to kill the Jedi.
Darth Bane's Rule of Two also had the effect of diminishing the passed on knowledge, thus weakening the Sith over time. Moreover, while Bane solved part of the internal fighting problem, he probably assumed the two in power would still retain the numbers/wisdom of previous Sith eras, and was unfortunately, wrong. "thought bomb" is super accurate.
@@lateralus418 are you sure about that? Because Bane's plan was to let the Jedi believe that the Sith were gone. So they would grow arrogant and complacent. So that they could be the ones to destroy themselves with infighting. In the end it was one of their own falling to the dark side that destroyed the Jedi Order. I'd say that meant Bane was right all along.
Darth revan created the rule of two, bane enforced it
If this takes place about 100 BBY and the Sith are indeed involved, then Plagueis or more likely his master and whoever their "Acolyte" is, are involved. As Palpatine killed Plagueis some time between 54 and 32 BBY and Plagueis had already been the Dark Lord for decades by then. This will likely be about whichever Acolyte is doing the Sith's dirty work for them. With the Sith themselves being presented in a much more shadowy manner. I'm really excited for this.
Tenebrous and a child aged plagueis
Technically, the Sith are a red=skinned race with horns that looks similar to Darth Maul. After the civil war of the Jedi, the dark order fled to the outer rim and established an outpost on the Sith homeworld, slowly merging with the Sith. Anybody can become a dark lord, but those with Sith blood like Anakin will have their eyes turn yellow after an unethical slaughter for revenge, and then turn red with a slaughter of innocents. Both of these conditions were witnessed in Anakin because he had Sith genes due to Palpaltine doing some genetic tinkering with Anakin's mom. Another fun fact: with the Sith apprentice kills the master, they instantly inherit all of the memories and Force abilities of their predecessors. In this way, the Sith become ever-stronger, as evidenced by Palpatine when he shoots lightning out into space to slag multiple starships. The Sith meditation chambers we see Vader and Palpatine use were designed to hover near to a star where the dark lord used his deep meditation and Force techniques to absorb power from the sun itself.
I hope this goes into the Darth plagueis story.
*Would love to see a series focusing on Reven as his character switched from Jedi to sith and back to Jedi. His character is so interesting and much in way of lore about him.*
*Also, Grand Master Satele Shan, who was super powerful!!*
Yah idk what they are doing with Revan needs to happen though he’s one of the most badass characters
Technically anakin brought balance to the force during order 66 and beyond. Balancing the power between sith and jedi. So he is the chosen one and will always be the only chosen one.
I have often wondered How the Emperor was able to hide right under the Jedi noses and i think he had mastered the art of hiding his force impressions like Jacen Solo did in the novels even his twin sister couldn’t feel him in the force with him standing right by her
See, that's why I can't get behind some of the "the Jedi were so foolish" ideas. They've had to retcon that theme into the later seasons of CWs, because they did show the Jedi working so closely. When the original idea was that Palpatine was SO skilled in masking his presence in the force. It's kind of like, if there was to be a new Harry Potter work set during the movies and they were like, "the reason Voldemort was able to infiltrate Hogwarts was because they spent too much time and energy on the Houses and...". Like no, Voldemort was evil and powerful.
the bane series of books sets the tone for the hiding and in the shadow mentality along with the rule of 2 and why it's so important. keeping off the jedi radar until they're powerful enough to crush the entire order. its ashame disney kicked all the EU to the curb and ignores all that content as much of it is lightyears better than the garbage they're putting out. bane is even cannon so far as he was mentioned in the clone wars cartoon
Can't wait to see the cameos
I like how the Jedi we’re always on about having no attachments and yet when they do have attachments and drift more towards the grey Jedi sort of point, they become absolute machines in most cases such as Obi-Wan with his attachment to Leia and then using that to help him defeat Vader again and Anakin in the Ahsoka series. Granted he is the chosen one and all that but he was at his most powerful when he has perfect balance within himself.
You know what would be awesome? So many star wars shows focus on the reemergence of the sith but it would be great to get a film or show at some point when the Sith are at their greatest strength and the Jedi are the merging power but like framed in the perspective of the sith.
I’d definitely watch that 👍
If the writing is on point, along with the fight choreography etc. this show could be game changing.
Joonis said he’s playing a different Wookiee Jedi, Buri is MIA after the end of Phase 1 of the High Republic, there’s going to be a book in Phase 3 set just after the fall of Starlight with Bell looking for him to confirm he did die.
I thought he just died, but that’ll be an awesome book if so
My most anticipated new series absolutely love the High republic, and I can't wait to see it in live action! The entire premise of a dark side thriller is something we haven't seen in star war yet ,and I'm glad they chose to go in that direction. Hope we all get to see the footage soon. It sounds incredible.
Disneybot 🤣
Here's the thing. In a sense, Anakin did bring balance to the force. What constituted balance was never explained, at least nowhere I am aware of. But if you think of it as meaning a balance between the light and the dark, the force was out of balance because the Jedi were ascendant for centuries, if not millennia. The Sith existed but were in hiding and limited to only 2 beings (a master and an apprentice) at any one time. Anakin was responsible for the downfall of the Jedi. If Anakin hadn't stopped Mace Windu from killing Palpatine, Order 66 would never have been given. Presumably, at some point after Palpatine gave the order, the power of the light and dark equalized before the dark became ascendant. The Sith were brought down by Anakin's children. But that might have created a new balance because there were so few Jedi left. Darth Bane's Rule of 2 might have stopped civil wars between Sith factions, but it didn't really make sense as a strategy to defeat the Jedi since it left the Sith so outnumbered. The only way it could make sense is if the power of the dark side and the light side was divided up by the number of force users tapping into each side's power. That could mean that a Sith was more powerful than an individual Jedi since the Sith could control 50% of the power of the dark, while the light side was divided up between all the Jedi. It seemed like that was true in The Phantom Menace. But there were dark side force users other than the Sith. There were also light side users who weren't Jedi like Ahsoka and Grogu. At the time of the Mandalorian, was the force in Balance? What about at the conclusion of the Rise of Skywalker? I suppose we may find out one of these days.
I love the fact that one of the Jedi Master is Master Nick Fury 👍👍👍❤❤❤
I’d love to see a whole side of the galaxy we haven’t seen before
that's what they're doing on skeleton crew
What? You don't want to be on Tatooine again?
@@DrunknAzn haha yes, less Tatooine more of the unknown regions
They would never do that. Everything has to tie back into something they can already sell.
You'd bump into someone designing the death star, or the heroes will own the melinum falcon as a brand new ship, or some such nonsense. I have no faith in Disney to do something fans would enjoy without dripping it with something stupid.
poor Star Wars.... There was so much hope.....
@@ZimCrusher I know :(
I had no idea about any of this pre- prequel history. Thank you for sharing all this information.
Charlie, love ur channel and have become an avid listening and watcher… any chance you can do a full review of the Bad Batch season 2? A lot of stuff that confused me and you’re always good at clearing things up lol. Thanks!
More general audiences and casual Star Wars fans LOVE Jedi stuff and good lightsaber choreography. If the Acolyte can deliver on that while giving us good writing and production value, it could be a massive hit.
Carrie Anne Moss in the Starwars Universe 😍
The way you explain things helps me understand so much better, thank you!
Keep it up Charlie !!!! U are the man with the plan with these Star Wars videos
They’ve been so so amazing and exciting
I’m really excited for 2024 Star Wars Legit
Yoda would be Jedi Grand Master by now. And they would already have an idea that Sith were still around by this time as well. But they lacked proof.
In Legends, the Jedi Council started sending out Jedi Sentinels to look for them, sort like Obi-Wan went out to investigate the deal with the Clones in ‘Attack of the Clones’. But, anyone who got too close met with some end before they could report back their findings.
Man all these new star wars shows coming out is really getting me hype! Out of all them, the Acolyte and Ahsoka are probably the 2 shows in most excited to see....
Disney saw (Star wars) it’s their new cash cow so they’re doubling down on it. This is all due to the success of Mando.
@@Imozart0341I agreed... but with that being said with shows like Mando being the hands of Favreau and Filoni StarWars is definitely in great hands cuz their fans first... an their story telling is next level....especially Filoni that guy is definitely the son that George Lucas wish he had for sure lol....
I can't tell you, I have been DYING for mentions of Teras Kasi. Hope we get to see it expanded on.
They mention it in Solo.
@@sirpepeofhousekek6741 Guess I need to watch Solo again.
SO HYPE!! Thanks Charlie!!!
Im super excited for this because it’s finally a time period we barely know about, i want more of this, old republic, unknown regions, this should be the goal of star wars going forward. So much potential for new characters, bc the only characters i can think of that are alive during this time period are obviously Yoda, and Chewbacca, so there shouldn’t be too much fan service and it leaves room for character development
exactly! Andor just recently did this so well and there are so many great stories that could be told away from all the known characters.
@@Archerious i never said it was the old republic ? I said i want more of this type of content, eras and places we’ve barely touched in Star Wars
Hello I have some questions about Ahsoka. If were to some everything of Star Wars leading up to Ahsoka. Which Star Wars should I watch for me to know about her and rest of the other characters?
Thank-you Charley good info.👍
No problem 👍
Thanks, Charlie! 🔥🙏🏻😄
Yoda is almost like Wu Tang in Star Wars, he’s forever. I think the only future project he’s not on is the Dawn of the Jedi movie. Thanks Charlie, I’m looking forward to seeing this
Again, you compile great videos VERY QUICKLY with amazing informed detail. Thanks.
I’m actually looking forward to this now, I hope it delivers
Amazing.. thank you man .. NYC one
Another great video!!! Keep up the good work!! Always wanted to see how the sith got started
More to come!
THIS is what I have been waiting for. High Republic and Old Republic era shows and movies. So much great material to draw from.
Now just give me a Darth Bane movie with the red Lucasfilm logo.
This is why I like watching your channel because I can get an idea of what these shows are about before I decide to watch them. After looking at this plot breakdown and what it's about I'm really not that interested but I'm definitely excited for ahsoka 😀
Haha that fan art of Grogu in Mandalorian armor is totally awesome!
They can do so much in this universe
Jedi Master Trinity...hell yeah 🤘😎💯
This is the kind of Star Wars content I've been craving! More like this, please!
Thanks Charlie👍🏼
Just found out that ray stevenson passed away. He will be missed. But i hate that he wasnt able to see how much we all loved him playing Baylor. This man was one of my fav actors since he played the Punisher. I nvr understood why he didnt get more mainstream parts. And front rolls in movies cause he was a very skilled actor. Hes a person that id liked to got to know in real life. Im sure he was a great person. You will be missed ray stevenson, missed deeply. 😢
I can't wait to see some younger Yoda scenes.
The combination of the "Frozen & Kill Bill" reference for this show is interesting 💯💯💯
I wonder if not only taking inspiration from the extended universe but I wonder if they will connect some of the starwars anthology, the anime shorts on d+
Can't wait for these
We need a Sith show focusing on Exar Kun and Qel Droma, thousands of years BBY
It's Disney....don't get your hopes up. They'll just take a dump it.
Love all the Star Wars stuff coming soon, things are gonna get extremely interesting and entertaining. Thx Charlie.
Even if they said any force user in Acolyte was stronger than Anakin. They still would never be the chosen one that brought balance to the force since Anakin/Darth Vader is the one who destroyed Jedi nonstop until they were almost extinction. So KK couldn't recon anything even if she tried unless she said star wars is being fully rebooted which wouldn't happen.
Am really glad we getting stuff during the high republic era I love the books
Any with beside plagues and tenebrous wouldn’t really make sense giving the time period. If it’s not those two like it should be then I’d be disappointed. They do t have to be exact replicas if their legends selves but they should be there
It would make sense to introduce Abeloth soon.
Can’t wait!
Can't wait to see more about the old sith order and Jedi war
I’m glad they’re jumping to other eras that are outside of the Skywalker era. There’s so many possibilities
At some point we could find out how Yoda knew about The Rule of Two.
This looks interesting. It would be nice to see the Jedi at the height of their power, before the Sith become as powerful as they will become in the prequel. Hopefully there won't be too many downers or get too caught up in that Sith development and sticks with the Jedi and their workings. Did I miss the possible debut date?
The sith were more powerful centuries before this and was what i was hoping to see....in a whole new era. Oh well
The high republic books are pretty good if you want some insight into Jedi at this period
@@robd1329 Not exactly. In Legends the Rule of Two Sith were actually stated to be stronger then the Sith of Old on numerous occasions. (Mainly Sidious and Plaguies but also many other individuals like Bane and Zannah)
Sidious specifically was stated in Dark Empire to have control of the dark side that would make even Uliq Qel Droma envious, and Uliq scales to Exar Kun.
Shout out Chuck!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
So much Star Wars content and I’m loving it!
Where is all this animated comics stuff from in the footage you used? looks really cool
"Your eyes can deceive you. Don't trust them." Was Obi Wan's response to Luke when Luke was whining about training with the blast shield down on the helmet so he couldn't see while training on the Millennium Falcon. It's a callback.
Dude looks like hes playing ping pong with his light saber.
I hope they did some characters from the comics. They were great stories in the comics. Like to see an Ewok jedi
There will be some characters from the high republic stories in this.
@Emergency Awesome I hope so I got the comics from when Exar kun turned that told that story they are great. Also wish they would have done a hier to the empire movie
Here’s my take, if Lee Jung-Jae senses the dark side rising up again, we could get an origin of “the chosen one prophecy.” He could get visions of Anakin bringing balance back to the force, inform the high council, which will then get passed along amongst the other high council members until episode one the phantom menace.
Or the chosen one prophecy was all a myth sent by the sith so that the Jedi could train the next sith lord
@@JustNez Cool theory. The Jedi were the ones to take Anakin from his mother, and if he were there with her, she may have never been sold and killed by the Tuskins, thus never kickstarting Anakin path to the dark side.
Personally for me I would love a old republic show because that would be really awesome and tons of fun
what's playing in the background?
My guess is that the jedi master in the trailer might be the master that was manipulated to start the cloning operations for a Republic Army on Komino. Sipho Dius? Something like that.
CHARLIE! You're the man! Love all these videos man you are my go to for everything pop culture. Star Wars, GOT, and everything in between you are the best one out there!
thanks dude!
God i hope we see Plagueis
I'm sure there will be references and easter eggs, just because of the things that are happening with the sith at that point in the timeline.
You see plagueis in phantom menace ☺️. All be it briefly haha
Absolutely awesome!
Revan's theme... OOOOOO
5:03 The kid from Logan makes me feel old.
Omg, can't wait
This is wanted I always wanted a more in-depth look into the prequels and a deeper look into the site wouldn’t consider myself a super fan of Star Wars but will definitely watch this
the martial arts in shang chi was soooooo awesome !!!!
yep!
Thank you Charlie.
you're welcome!
I really wish they would do a show about Qu'ira when she ended up taking over Crimson Dawn and her fight against the Empire. The comics were excellent. It would be really cool to see Emilia Clarke play that role again and I bet she would. It's definitely one of my favorite stories since Disney bought Lucasfilm. She was a master of Teräs Käsi and in my opinion the most badass female non Force user in the galaxy.
They had one in the works but so many people hated her character they scrapped it.
I doubt she would play anything in SW. She caught so much crap over it. She had death threats over it.
@@PhuVet she didn't get death threats over her character but the movie got backlash like crazy. Her character kicked ass and that's what most people liked about the movie. She's having a good time working for Marvel Studios right now and I doubt a Qu'ira series would ever be made anyways. For me it's just wishful thinking because I always liked her character.
Hope we get to see a young Plagius in a future season!
Might have to get back into star wars
She needs to come back as aged up x-23 for sure. She's got the exact look.
Planet Sanshiro 🤨, so Segata Sanshiro is going to be a part of this series.
Charlie knows his shit appreciate that info Charlie
Can explain the Jedi order that used the light and the dark side of the force again as regular practice
Good review
Why is it these actors don't convince me they could punch their way out of a wet paper bag

I didn't realize Dafne Keen was in the show. I'm a little hyped now.
