- With a anime season full of continuations like Overlord Season 4, Devil is a Part Timer Season 2, and Made in Abyss Season 2. We have a standout anime from this season called Call of The Night "Yofukashi no Uta" that is being animated by LIDENFILMS. The opening and Ending is catchy too and might be my favorite from the season! This is definitely a must watch anime!

I listen to a lot of music on Bitekis channel and he uses Call of The Night in a lot of his AMV's so that's how I found out about it and I was hooked right off the bat lol.

started reading call of the night from a viz media instagram story ad and i fell in love with it because i can relate with Kou and enjoying walks at night. Glad people are enjoying it as much as i am

what I feel from the main character is that he just didn't feel things in normal life. he was going through the motions, but there was no emotion to it. that's why he turned down the girl.
and the night brings out emotions in him.

Its not simply an "interpretation." If you've seen more than the first episode, its obviously very much accurate. I'm in the middle of binge watching the series and there are dozens of direct quotes regarding the fact he felt nothing until he ventured into the night and, on top of that, met nana-chan.
He never liked anyone, had a crush, or anything like that. But it goes deeper than that. He helped other people out in school, but not because he wanted to. He was just "going through the motions." And he comments several times how being out at night and/or being with Nana-chan brings out a huge array of emotions in him that are so new to him that he doesn't fully understand what they are. "What am I feeling right now?" Is a common question he asks himself. And he uses his blood getting sucked to "gauge his emotions."
And like Nana said: "Pleasure, pain, happiness, sadness, allow yourself to feel all these emotions without inhibition. That's what the night is for. And, by drinking your blood, I can experience them with you." So nana-chan is also getting to experience emotions, like romantic feelings obviously, that she's never felt before.
The night life is the best! It's cozy and the feeling of being free is such a wonderful feeling!
Gigguk did a video on the manga and as a night person I was instantly invested found out about the anime and decided to wait... Definitely gonna read the manga after the anime ends.. it's really beautiful and the first episode alone touches me in a special way seeing I've been going through some emotional stuff and took it out by taking a walk late at night so the vybe of it is really relatable

You got to watch isekai Ojisan, it's the sleeper of this season. It's more than what it seems and I love the opening really represents the main character.

Really impressed with the art style and color palette. The broad swathes of variations on single colors were very striking. Just had a chance to see it today and it looks very intriguing.
The adaptation has an amazing "Lonely City Night" vibe. It reminds me of an earlier, more enjoyable time in my life. The music and attention to detail are great, and the colors really are that good. Very enjoyable, definitely recommended.

I've been extremely excited for this adaptation since it was announced. I've been reading the source material since before it was called Call of the Night. Before it started getting officially translated it was called Song of the Night Walkers. Since getting translated I've purchased every English volume and my obsession hasn't lessened in the slightest! Nazuna's design is fire and i love how her playful and adorable nature has been captured in the first episode.
gives off those early 2010s vibes. takes a common concept then takes a pretty boring idea(MC just wants to know what love is) and makes it super original

I read through the whole manga, and the recent chapters have all been 10/10
This anime has so much style!! I love this noir/synthwave esthetics presenting city in purple lights.
Same with the fact, that show presents nice existential themes. It hold depth, character questioning his place in society and trying to find purpose by breaking some norms.
It reminds me of Bakemonogatari where we had buch of stereotypes like waifus, harem etc but for most part we saw characters talking
discussing existentialis like Jean Paul Sartre.

I’ve always been a fan of nightlife shenanigans in general and to see that concept adapted in Anime form is going to be so fun
I had no idea what i was getting into when i started up Ep 1 but it has earned itself at least 2 more episodes in my book.
I really enjoyed the art work and look forward to where this series goes

This year and especially last season was packed with great anime. This season is also packed and some might say it's even better than the spring season.
The sound effects in this anime is a 11/10 for me and it perfectly captures the mood and ambience that the manga set out for. It also gives me SHAFT vibes due to the director. Can't wait!

Always had the manga on my radar but never got the chance to read it until recently. Saw the trailer and heard that OST and it was over I read the manga in 3 DAYS!!! Literally 120 chapters. Best time of my life always loved the night since I’m an owl. Cast is so amazing as well.
I love the nighttime atmosphere of the anime. Reminds me of a few synth wave videos I like listening to, and the music is this kind of jazzy hip-hop lofi that I really like. I often listen to Lofi Girl streams.

I'm really enjoying this show so far, the music and atmosphere are especially great.
Those lonely night time city scenes make me nostalgic for a time in my life where I routinely walked home from friends houses late at night as a teenager. I lived miles away from them and I grew to appreciate and love seeing the streets and parks utterly devoid of people and traffic in the artificial glow of the streetlamps.
The first episodes we’ve got this week have all just been amazing. Summer 2022 is off to such a great start. This was such a fun and quirky episode. Basically an analogy for youth angst, rebellion and of course insomnia. I love the OST, the art, the premise, nazuna and ko chemistry, etc. I definitely see why this was so hyped.
The visuals are so good I can’t wait for more

Wasn't expecting much from the first episode when I watched it today, but it was actually one of my favorite first episodes so far. Might have already found my best girl of the season as well. Looking forward to see how this one turns out

I was interested at first but what really got me into watching it was the music, the sky and the first interaction they have.
Great show. It covers its bases in terms of proper relationship development with respect of bounds, caring for your partner, and consent without being lame

@@nurusds3 I honestly love the vibrant colouring the anime adaption is bringing to the table; it helps create a fantasy-like atmosphere and makes the nighttime feel otherworldly.
However, at first, I felt the excessive colour took away from the use of blacks and grey’s in the manga to create that atmospheric nighttime setting, although now that I’ve seen more of the anime, the new vibrant colours have really grown on me.

It does look quite interesting so far and I am curious to see where the plot goes. Gotta admit i'm a tad surprised. As far as I can tell the vampire girl is an adult. Would have expected the usual suspects on social media to be screeching that the protagonist is only 14 and yet he is attempting to fall in love with her. Glad that hasn't happened, at least not yet, i'm sure it will start up eventually if it gets more popular 😑

I've been reading this series since like the 5th chapter it instantly became one of my favorite series of all time it's so good the story telling is great it puts a new spin on the take of vampires which later becomes a big plot point the art is crisp and it's the story telling isn't to complexed so they shouldn't have to leave anything out of the anime it's just great all around you don't know who I am or even care but I recommend this series

Great first episode and they're doing a fantastic job so far of properly adapting such a great manga series.
Kinda reminds me of that one coffee shop lady manga, if anyone knows what I'm talking about. Forgot the title. Similar kind of older girl-younger boy type thing, where she's teaching him how to slack off or deal w/ stress or w/e. I just got a similar vibe from it.
Half the comments are about how beautiful Nezuna is the other half is how she looks like toga with both meeting in the middle thinking that it’s both

Also, unrelated to this anime/manga, I love vampires in literature too! Rosario and vampire knight were the first two anime I ever saw and the only reason I found them were because I was looking into vampire media.

The trailer hooked me immediately, and this first episode did not dissapoint. I don't read manga very much so never heard of call of the night, but that trailer was so unique compared to anything out there, and I love its style.
I loved the voice acting. Discount Himiko sounded so funny, plus her lines were funny as well.
