"I feel im worsening" i pretty much crumble and emotions completely flood me. The absolute soul crushing chug behind it just hammers all the pain and anguish Filip is really trying to portray and i really feel every little bit of it. this song is beyond art.
Same here. It is the perfect album closer. The entire album it is hammering this extremely pecemistic outlook on someone's life (as in whichever "character" in the album that is singing these lyrics) that I have found way too relatable these days. Just feeling like there is no escape from my situation in the near future. The "I feel I'm worsening" part made me cry the first time I listened while watching the visualizer. It makes my heart ache for whoever feels that way and realizing it is me who also feels that way.

Yep. And not only their) I would say it's one of the best albums in ma whole life. And I was born in USSR so... I've heard tons of albums of different genres. This one is a pure art. The other metall bands can cry already)😂

HLB might be the only Band capable of combining pure chaos, ambiance/mystery und structure/groove to music this heavy... this and the whole album is sheer brilliance.

Burden Bearer is their best song since Abysmal Mouth IMO. This song has to be one of the heaviest songs ive ever heard as a metalhead of 18 years. This track is my favorite of this record easily.

Anybody else think humanity's Last Breath is just a tad bit overated? I'm probably in the minority but I always feel so let down every time I listen to one of their songs. Maybe it's because I'm no longer in my downtempo 0-0-0-0-0-0-1-0-0-0 era but I can never find myself enjoying their music even tho you think it'd be a metalhead's dream

Confused how a band you never liked can "let you down."
I like HLB because the mixing is the best I have ever heard, or atleast it is what sounds best to me. On top of this they are always doing things no other band is really doing, Buster's riffs (maybe Calle's on this song, don't know who wrote what) are instantly recognizable and unique to HLB/Vildhjarta. You can't listen to a song like Earthless by HLB and mistake it for any other band but them, not to mention it is ridiculously heavy. An appreciation for less is more makes HLB heavier than other bands that try too hard to be heavy and just sound muddy. Or just have a wall of sound with blast beats. That is why I enjoy HLB more than most bands.
Nobody really brings this up either, but I am seeing it more with this album's release but the vocals are really good too. Sure they aren't doing deathcore snarls but they just sound brutal. They're very low without doing the tunnel throat thing that is so overplayed in metal.
I don't see it as one long breakdown. This style is not the same traditional breakdown you hear in most deathcore imo.
