Lyrics:
The Garden of Earthly Delights
Born from the void and still pristine
Tranquil, vast and cold
See the orb of blue and green
When he spake the light shone gold
Brought to life, in the image of god
In this holy place
Settled among the creatures odd
Eve, dear girl, avert thy gaze
Claims to love them all;
his world below
Minding not their fall;
a mirthful show
Merriments in the centerpiece
Weird things in galore
Is this the cradle of the disease
that man alone must answer for?
Joy and delight, forever ceased
Suffering’s abloom
Eaten alive by the cauldron beast
Let the drones ring to the sound of doom

As someone who's grown up on a diet of fantasy, heavy metal, and fantasy themed gaming, I love this.
A women of culture.
Right? This stuff brings a tear to my eye with it's beauty.
you are amongst the D20. Roll for initiative
There's a deeper meaning to this song.... All you have to do is look around.... If there was any kind of God they threw in the towel a long time ago.... As a part of the human race I think I can speak on behalf of them.... We're FUCKED
@Justin Barbee next time you get a beer, tell the bartender it's on me (random CZcams enjoyer) and then bask in their confusion
"I don't have long hair, can I still be in your band?"
"Sure, but you gotta wear a hoodie at all times."
They do have long hair...just the wrong side of the head is all....

Great song

if anyone doesn't know, the bagpipe melody is called "Je Vivroie Liement", its by the french late medieval composer Guillaume de Machaut (1300-1377)
Awesome! Thanks! Vocals and everything follow it.
This is a definition of a FANTASTIC cover. I always say that metal is the true progression of beautiful music of old. If you do not know, this is actually a cover of medieval French composer and bars Guillaume de Machauts’ Je Voivre Liement Circa 1300. Actually, this is kind of “late” period medieval music. Considering it came out in the last period of the era. Regardless, he was one of the few composers that we have any historical records from. Listen to the original and you’ll see what INCREDIBLE job this band did with the cover. This is what Metal is for! A continuation of our ancestors!
Si si
I was sure I heard this melody before but can't remember what is was, thanks :)
Thanks for the history lesson!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Bravo 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Machaut was a sort of hit maker of his time...Some would say a sort of "rock star"!

Lots of people hate bagpipes but I think they sound amazing when played well.

For the love of Odin, this kicks ass.
Odin is one of my ancestors.
Tannon Park he was a god... men are not children of mythological gods.. but nice try buddy
xXGameFanaticXx I think you need to look deeper into the Germanic religions. Many groups seen the Gods as their ancestors. Not all groups, and it is debated, but regardless, it is a view that is now sometimes held within the Heathen communities.
Cwealmdréoras this is not Germanic in origin. It's Scandinavian. So no. Not ancestors of gods.
xXGameFanaticXx Once again, you are showing your ignorance. The Scandinavian people are a Germanic people. Scandinavian and Germanic Pagan religion is connected. The Scandinavian god Odin, is the same as Wotan, Woden, Wodanaz, and any other variation of such you can find. They may not be identical but they're linked closely. Slower folk-ish medieval stuff is also nice, for a change.
Yeah is a nice alternarive when you dont want or even need those super speed riffs that traditional metal always have. This song seems nice to me for acompany some creative work stuff and relax moments.
Actually the most traditional metal was moderately slow (and swingy). The super speed came later. Check eg. Atomic Rooster's Tomorrow Night for the sweeping swing that cannot be reproduced in super speed. It is here, too.

This is an exceptional piece of music. Nice dark and old world feeling without all the screaming of most of today's music. The instrumentals seem to have an identity to themselves. Excellent work. Keep it up. Looking forward to more from you all.

HOW THE HELL AM I JUST NOW HEARING ABOUT THEM!?!
Seeing all the fantasy comments and missing the clear and obvious song about a deconstruction and crisis of faith due to God’s seeming indifference to mankind’s fall and the ultimate consequences of ours and his actions.
Love this song because it gets to a very central aspect of a lot of Christians deconstruction of faith and tackles it respectfully and from the believers perspective shifting from a tone of hope to despair and torment. No hatred only joy and anguish.
Beautiful song. Great choice to contrast it with a French Medieval folk song glorifying God.

@@93ndani that's really nice. His paintings are insanely filled with meaning and subtile messages. There are literally poadcasts of 1-2 hours long only talking about one single painting and they are only scratching the surface.
