I like to think that after you help Siegward in Ds3, after he disappears, he just shows up in the Lands Between by mistake and now he’s gotta kill another Giant. The Fire Giant
If I had a nickel for every time I summoned the best character to fight a fire giant, I would have 2 nickels. Which isn't avlot but it's weird that it happened twice.

26:27 The rolling R1 poke of the Zweihander is actually pretty nuts when it comes to Stance damage, especially considering how fast it is.
If you mix braggarts roar the roar talisman the axe talisman and the twin-blade talisman on the second hit of your charged r2 you do insane damage with strength affinity

For the abandoned Cave if I don’t have quickstep I always like to backstep through the rot to avoid the status. I think it is even faster than rolling plus you won’t cover your body in rot.
That's actually a solid idea, I'm not sure why I haven't thought of that before
Just make the Knights Calvary go all "I believe I can fly" off of the bridge and use bloodhound's step. Or you could just run through it like a boss who doesn't care at all and die to the order of the resplendence of rot.
Last time I went in there I forgot to get the venomous fang so I had to go back in..
@mentalwig420 can't run through it until NG+. You have to roll, back step or use an ash.
You have a couple of good options to use the Mimic Tear as a summon as Siegward that would probably work better than Pumpkinhead. Mimic Tear could have been Siegmeyer, or his daughter Sieglinde.
Is this the first all remembrances run that ends up with a positive K/D, even after Malenia? Hell yeah man!

Edit: a note on damage negation in the late game, armor is great by itself in to the mid game, in the end game though you either need to avoid getting hit (like you said) or run damage negation buffs. Stuff like boiled crab and golden vow can stack with the heavy armor you have and probably put you at over %70 physical damage negation.
Yeah, even then it's gonna carve you up. Even Blue Feather with a full reduction set up ain't great. Though. To be there you have to have low hp
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 Actually no, you can full on eat Waterfowl without a care and barely lose 1/4 of your HP when wearing any respectable heavy armor and running the right buffs even with a less than ideal set up.

This is enough to more or less ignore the attack but if you want to make it completely irrelevant you can go further...

This set up completely invalidates literally any damage she can do to you for greater than a minute.
Honestly the fact that you were able to make Waterfowl's entire first flurry only do half your health is incredible. I think that *is* making it manageable, considering that's the only part of the attack that's difficult to dodge at point blank range and usually one shots you. If you survive that one, you just roll once and walk backwards slightly.
I think what people mean by Rykard being better than Yhorm is that -- for both of their spectacle/gimmicks, they're very similar. Both of them get a weapon with increased range and damage against them specifically. But for Yhorm, it's a frustrating weapon art that needs to be charged with only one way of attacking. For Rykard, at least the Serpent Hunter has an actual moveset.
Neither of them are good bosses, but at least Rykard, as intended, gives you a bit more to play with.

Please do a fire monk secret starting class. You can farm all the drip and the mace in Liurnia really early, you get spells, and you can upgrade to black flame monk later on if you get bored of just normal fire.

I got decent at fighting the black blade kindred. My first play through was a sorcerer and now I'm going strength/faith. Power stance cold great stars, beast claw talisman, pulley crossbow, medium shield with carian retaliation, and a sacred misericorde (for undead). I'm loving actually having to learn the bosses and enemies.

Loved the run! Siegmeyer was probably my second favorite NPC in all of my DS1 playthrough (second only to Solaire of course), and the onion armor is always iconic.

Also Siegward has minor faith investment for casting certain utility spells, like aoe buffs and Force
He casts emit force (stone of gurranq is the closest er spell, probably. Physical damage slow orb)

You may not have realized this, because it's easy to miss. When you said you were wearing the absolute heaviest armor set, you were mistaken. The Bullgoat set is the heaviest set.

I hope you've done a Dragonslayer ornstein build at some point in elden ring, it's wild since technically for lore reasons tho the lightning is red dragon lightning can be used alongside regular lightning during the build because after DS1 ornstein after being defeated by the player character becomes a dragon before the start of DS3
The armor set reqs tho for a little planning need to be intricate and either gold or gunmetal grey or darkened steel in design whilst being a mix of light and heavy weights, the weapon being a really fancy spear of some sort preferably with a rushing stab and lightning attacks
Maybe have a slam in reference to ornstein phase 2 in the case of smough dying first, there's the literal butt slam move if anything
I can completely understand you opinion on scripting fights. Like, as a viewer, it's cool to see someone utterly destroy a boss I struggled with. But as a player, just going through the motions for a "guaranteed" win gets old, fast.

Tip for the Lyndell Avatar's Elden Stars Jr: When you see him start the move get a little distance from him and get to the far right or left side of the alley. As stars start coming at you sprint, not roll, to the other side. Once you hit it double roll back towards the side you started on watch for his coming in and swinging a hammer at you. The stars have an easier time hitting you it you roll back/forward than if you move to the side.
On my first playthrough I got both the draconic tree sentinel and Morgott on the first try, yet somehow needed 20+ tries for Godrick 😅

Rykard, thematically, is the best fight in the entire game. You will never change my mind. Absolutely nothing beats that moment of realization that sets in when his dead body re-animates, grows a fucking face, human arms, and starts regurgitating a flesh covered sword to absolutely beat your shit in. If you came upon this boss like I did with absolutely ZERO spoilers and no idea what was in store for you, oh boy you were in for a wild ride.

Malenia does NOT have immunity to stance pressure during dashes and the ducky dance. Instead, she is immune to the stagger and crit opportunity that happen when her stance is broken, and to make things worse her stance starts regenerating instantly when those moves make her immune to the stance break. Note that her stance can go negative due to the technical details of this immunity, and if it is still negative at the end of the attack ANY hit can trigger the stance break and crit... even if said attack normally has 0 stance pressure and cannot do that to any other enemy (except abducter virgins, which stagger off number of hits they take instead of how much stance pressure you do, counting specifically lightning damage as four hits).

Did you know that healing incantations damage Remnants? Also, did you know that there’s a corpse with soap under one of the first Siofra River waterfalls? From is just so cute sometimes.

You can reliably dodge Elden Stars Jr by sprinting to the side. The stars don't have tracking, so they won't hit you as long as you keep moving

I don't know if anyone else ha said it but, you can chain Serpent Hunter Ash of War for a two hit insta pois break on Rykard. And since the first hit flinches him you have plenty of time to get the second hit off and the second hit deals increased damage.
