    Aligning the two Y axis gantry screws. I don't use the limits, so if I accidently hit the back the gantry will get out of alignment just a little. Since there is no knobs on the motor shafts and there is no way to get to the screws to turn them, I have found a way to do it easily. You remove the bearing holder on the front right side and you then have access to the shaft. You then can align the both sides to same measurments.. Works great..

      Great thinking!! Thanks for sharing. Yes that would be super helpful to others. You might also be able to unplug one of your y axis motors and make tiny movements until square, however remember to power down machine before disconnecting or connecting motors!!

    I've had to take mine apart and put Loctite on all the screws holding the lead screw nuts. After about 8 hours of running, the screws on all 4 nuts had worked loose. Other than that, it has been a great machine.

    • @NEWTechCreative
      @NEWTechCreative  Před 5 měsíci

      That’s a great idea! You won’t have to deal with the screws again 🤩

      Won't hurt to do the same with the limit switch screws. The left x-axis switch fell of, too.

    HI! I ordered the TTC 450+500W motor today, I'm really looking forward to it! I would like to ask you to tell me what values you use for the following parameters! Of course, I don't ask for every tool, let's say an End Mill 3.175! Thanks!

    • @NEWTechCreative
      @NEWTechCreative  Před 4 měsíci

      Thanks for your comment. The following parameters are from memory and might need testing. For cutting plywood with a 2f 3.175mm endmill I believe I ran at 600mm/m with 2mm doc. I always found plywood to be more difficult than other soft timber due to change of grain and random filler timber between layers. You might be able to run more aggressive with these values.
      For aluminum I used a 1f 3.175mm endmill at 300mm/m with .2mm doc, however I still had some machine flex at these values and needing to refine. Hope that helps!!

    Did you already made any tries regardind fluidnc? I'm also using the machine, but I'm not very happy with stock firmware possibilities.

    • @NEWTechCreative
      @NEWTechCreative  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Yes I agree with you, however fluidnc doesn’t support the touch screen (yet!). You could replace with an old iPhone or alike if you wanted to use fluidnc. The transition to fluidnc would be pretty easy and no need to re-wire electronics.

    Can you please show how the cable comes out from behind the x-axis cover? I think it scrubs against the metal

    • @NEWTechCreative
      @NEWTechCreative  Před 5 měsíci

      There are 2 zip tie holes to anchor down with! I have a small clearance once anchored 🤩

    • @stevejones01
      @stevejones01 Před 2 měsíci

      The drag chain inside that cover is too far forward and the cable has to bend backwards to plug in. Remove two links from the top of the drag chain so more cable comes out of the drag chain. It will be parallel to the gantry upright and then it can then be wired tied to the back of the the upright, not the side (where it rubs). Other reviewers cut the dust guard. Don't, adjust the drag chain instead. Remove two top links / snaps not the entire link.

    HI!
    I have been watching this machine for a long time, but now your video convinced me that I have to buy this machine!
    I currently have a 3018PRO machine, I want to replace it because the process is too long! This machine is faster with a 500W spindle! Maybe adding a spindle makes it even faster! Can it also be controlled with UGS plarform?
    Thank you for answering!
    Friendly greeting! Kabódi

    • @NEWTechCreative
      @NEWTechCreative  Před 4 měsíci

      Thanks for your comment!! I’ve used the stock 3018pro in the past and had a huge issue with flex due to the lack of rigid support. The ttc450 is definitely an upgrade with a more stable frame and larger cutting area however there is still some (minimal) flex in the frame. The TTC450 is a great price for the size and features!

    Are you considering to upgrade it with liniar rails?

    • @NEWTechCreative
      @NEWTechCreative  Před 2 měsíci

      Great question! No I won’t be making any additions to this CNC. If I start upgrading, it will end up a totally different machine. I would rather start building a new machine from scratch. This is a great machine as a beginner and get your head around CNC’s.

      @NEWTechCreative  Před 3 měsíci

      They are the default settings for the ttc450 and will get you back to original settings if you need. My other settings I posted should get you homing to back right corner:
      $23=0
      $130=-450
      $131=-450

    HI!
    Sorry to bother you again! I have the TTC450 machine, it's great, it's a pleasure to work with it, but I have two problems that I can't fix!
    1. it often happens that I move either the X or Y axis in one direction with a given value, and all of a sudden it doesn't go any further, yes in the opposite direction, but not in the original direction! I can only solve it if I send it to the Home position! Then it's good for a while!
    2. I wanted to place the Home position in the right, rear corner, but there the limit switch of the X would not stop it, it would continue, do you know what sound it makes? However, the Home position works in the left rear and right front corners!
    I think that the problem may be with $$ values, but I dare not touch it! Can you help me? Maybe you could send me all the correct $$ values! Thanks!

    • @NEWTechCreative
      @NEWTechCreative  Před 3 měsíci

      Thanks for you comment. Yes that is possible on the TTC450.
      In regards to your questions:
      - firstly triple check all motors and limit switches are plugged in securely.
      The issue with changing the homing location, if you don’t change the machine x,y max travel, this impacts the movement. The machine is expecting to move right by 450mm and to the back of machine by 450mm… if you change the homing position to the rear right, you will need to update machine max travel to:
      $130=-450.000
      $131=-450.000
      To invert the homing direction to back right corner it should be set to:
      $23=0
      Let me know how that goes?

      Spindle (500W or other) produces Electromagnetic interference (EMI) causing to USB.. I use ferrite rings attached to Spindle cable and good quality USB cables with ferrite rings (booth side). gSender software helps too. It can reconnect safely and continue program from last line

    • @NEWTechCreative
      @NEWTechCreative  Před 5 měsíci

      Hmm! I’m not sure what the main issue would be without seeing a video of this… very strange. If it was to do with EMI this would impact WLAN as well. This might be a short or faulty hardware. I would connect with Two Trees about this and see if they can rectify. Happy to help further if you need. Feel free to email me newtechcreative@gmail.com

    • @NEWTechCreative

      Another thought… try using universal gcode sender to connect to. I use UGS as my go tomorrow and don’t usually have any issues. After connecting, click soft reset and unlock buttons and you will be good to go. I would start with a home of the machine. Let me know if this works?

    I thought of these: Feed rate, Plunge rate, Depth/pass

    • @NEWTechCreative
      @NEWTechCreative  Před 4 měsíci

      For my parameters I kept plunge rate the same as feed rate 👍

    • @zoltankabodi3377
      @zoltankabodi3377 Před 4 měsíci

      Thank you for taking the time for me! I just want to ask, do you mean what you wrote as Plung rate=Feed rate?
      example: Feed rate 500mm/min then Plung rate = 500mm/min!
      I also came across such a setting: End Mill 6mm, depth/pass=2mm, Feed rate=1000mm/min, and Plung rate=900mm/min! Do you think this is not burdensome for the machine, the one I saw used the original motor and not the 500W motor?

      yep. I tested backlash - it is about 0.1-0.15 mm. It can be reduced by software backlash compensation.

      I purchased mine When They came out.. It used nema 23 &17’s and I figured that if I didn’t like it, The Bulk of the build can easily be reused/infused and repurposed with/for other projects.. Regardless..I Love it.. Wish the Router Backing plates were more readily accessible… Was planning to use The Black box and other Upgrades but as is, for now it’s fine and adequate. Backlash was fairly easy to sort out, just took some focus and all else is Great at this price point…Especially when I got it..Wow!..Just Parts alone it’s a win..
