I would like to write something, but I can't express in words how beautiful this music is.
Great music and great band. The best
Fantastic response from French fans, timeless music that continues to captivate new generations of Tangerine Dream fans with its beauty🧡🇵🇱
My favorite era of the band is 78’-85’, so this is the sweet spot. Absolute legends. RIP Edgar. Your music is not forgotten.
I agree with you: unfortunately, after Chris Franke left the band, some strength was lost, and never recovered, in my opinion
Thanks to Richard for sharing again great Tangerine Dream material ! Not easy to look and find these videos 🎉 !
One of my first bootleg albums and also one of the most beloved live concerts...the dawn of futuritic genres has got me! Love it still a lot!🤪🤷🏼♂️😂☝️
(for me) the best time of Tangerine Dream, incl. fantastic sound, Richard W. I thank you so much for sharing your musical treasures.👍👍👍
I went to this concert in 1981 at the palace in Paris, a good time.👍👍👍❤❤❤
masterpiece tangerine dream is amazing
Ukochana muzyka, ukochany zespół... 👍♥️...🇵🇱
Wspaniała reakcja francuskich fanów!!!😊 Ta piękna muzyka na zawsze w naszych sercach ❤
Some very pleasing twists on familiar themes in this concert. There is a rawness and originality (a soul!) in these 40+ year old performances that is often lost (or too clean) in the modern day equivalents. I think much of this recording shows that off quite well. EF on Diamond Diary for example, which I particularly like. Schmoelling at his piano/keyboard is great, as ever. All 3, I think, were on form.
Nice, I have been getting into Tangerine Dream's stuff just relatively recently so most of this album was new stuff, I was only familiar with the last one, which I recognized from the Michael Mann's movie Thief; when this concert took place the movie was not yet in even in theaters (it would be released almost two months later), such temporal dimensions really make one realize the magnitude of their work; thanks Richard W for uploading this one.

One of the most impressive performances of Calymba Caly during this concert.
Was this number especially created for concerts because I never found it on a studio album ?
I don't think that there is a studio version.

@@RichardW001 As indicated in your link it is on a compilation album they released in the late 90’s titled Antique Dreams. No Schmoelling solo though so disappointing.
@@robertforman3494 Have you heard the version from Elektrobeats. The sound is really good quality.

@@RichardW001 I don’t recall ever hearing that one, and you are right about the sound quality. It’s a real shame they never released a live album of the 80-81 shows. By the way, I really like the videos you sometimes place in the music you post. Very professional.
