Edgar Froese was a musical genius. So many have tried to copy his style, but have never quite made the mark. Rest well EF, I hope you are resonating the halls of Heaven with your sounds.
John Bibby Others that think they are hot shit are actually copy cats. He created the sound...
That's true and I love it
I think of Edgar ascending into Heaven and hearing that chorus and how he could only add to the entire composition with his own talent and creativity, miss him much
By using analog sequencers and hand playing chords , melody and riffs , Edgar had pretty much what every electronic artist had at the time, a sequencer with limited note memory, 3 keys and modular synthesisers which are definitely programmable. Programming is where Froese really shined, his solo albums forced him to use multi tracking and to invent every aspect of the songs progression or whatever they do. An analog modular is very complex to control and harder to be inventive with. His ability to expressively use synths and drum machines (OK and that guitar) sets him apart-not the repeating segments that sound virtually the same in every old analog sequencer except for the synth sound it's self. Music is subtle, Edgar Froese may have been bombastic at times and to some critic's ears, over reaching musically but he had a subtle beauty to express. He was a teacher and a student.
R.I.P. Master Froese.

very well said, friend...
@TheSynthZone Nice reaction. Your last line especially touched me: "He was a teacher and a student." I think that expresses the true nature of a teacher: knowing there is something greater than himself, and always taking a humble attitude, exactly like Edgar Froese was. Thanks for noting that and reminding us.
Getting all teary eyed here, as often with talk of Edgar, but then I smile and remember, his music has already moved me to tears for most of my life.
Une exceptionnelle et étincelante oeuvre de TD, radicalement novatrice, d'une superbe ampleur et d'une perfection sans équivalent...
I am glad to hear this, the fellow still lives on in my mind...he makes your soul float nicely, like no drug can accomplish.....
I had goosebumps and a sense of peace when the first track was playing. Turn the lights low, stretch out on some comfortable pillows, and let this flow.
R.I.P edgar loved your music been a fan for 25 years and always will be.
I cannot imagine anyone imitating edgars amazing talent......I will miss him as I am sure tangerine dream fans the world per will too..i am 72 years old and my respect for him goes back a long time..R.I.P MY DEAR FRIEND.
Keith Shipley its one Jerome Froese
Keith Shipley I feel that such gifts as talent are distributed world wide, Edgar truly added to the many styles of electronic music done by both contemporaries and future players/programmers. Each has something unique, it's a matter of locking into whatever is happening on some instinctual level.
First time I heard TD, I fell in love with their music. virtuoso musicians.
It's like Edgar Froese lived many lifetimes here on earth and is expressing his impressions through music.
This album is one of those albums that truly have their moments. It dives a little deeper. You'll see what I mean.
One the best albums during this time, it showed more creativity with their presets.
Yes, it certainly did.
Farewell, grand master of classical E-music ...
... may humanity find peace, as we in your music
great album from the legends of electronic music the kings, tangerine dream no one better. edgar froese up there with the all time music greats. and 103 studio albums to their name. i doubt any other band could do that now.
dont understand how they could make this many albums...would love to find info on their workflow/process...
flawless perfection, absolutely beautiful composing.

More Dream music is grrreeeaaaat, 50 years of digging in music so much to hear, Always room for more. Get stoned and Dream friends
.
These guys were extremely prolific, recording over 100 studio albums! I don't know of any other band with that kind of creativity. Just amazing.
100! Bloody hell. I thought Buckethead was something else...(LOL just checked and Buckethead does have significantly more albums, LOL, but still over 100 studio albums is impressive) Wait, I've rechecked and now my source tells me Tangerine Dream have over 350 albums. I'm so confused. I'm only just dipping into Tangerine Dream for the first time. I will give up on this comparison.

Vielen danke Edgar fur ihr music. Schlaffen sie wohl mein gutes freund.
A God send for meditation; very soothing and measurably relaxing. :-)
RIP
Edgar Froese
I miss him
"Loves, loves, loves Tangerine Dream"........; )
i always loved td they just keep getting better along with jean michelle jarre. all i can say is rip Edgar Froese much missed
Edgar Froese was the real deal. VERY few musicians came close to realizing the potential of electronic instruments. In his hands, they lived and breathed. I wish there had been a collaboration between him and another one of those few: Vangelis.
Tangerine Dream is the most wanted no released and ever enjoyed Works for ever maked and for the moment concipiered
concipiered?
RIP Edgar. I wish they would release this on iTunes.
lit a candle, some incense, meditated, smoked some pot and watched the smoke swirl. Total experience of the present moment. This music is liberating.
You have Tangerine Dream, and you really need to smoke pot. C' mon you are the biggest loser.
Love track 3. My all time favourite from that album.
The Red Blood Connection reminds a score from Heroes of Might and Magic 3 a little - the holy grail map opening
Bravo Philippe!
@@barnabarinludocratique6262 merci !
Bravo!!
Great music
Die kannte ich noch nicht! Saugut!!!
Great music!
very good album
Love track 3. My all time favourite from that album.L
Track 3 of Seven Letters was definitely the track highlight of the album forever stamped in my memory
Before T.D there was "Tonto's expanding headband". I might be wrong though.
Yes, sounds resonating Heaven. Anyway sometime also little bit Strange.
I like the kiddy presentation
Musical catagories blur. Electronic? Classical? Both? Neither? Fabulous whatever the label!!!
I love it ❤️
Mozart did not die, simply he became music. Same happened to Edgar Froese.
ethereal
son uno de los mejores
Cinema like,no surprise.
It's unfortunate that this album isn't on Apple music or Spotify
96 studio albums??? Am I seeing this right?
Neurotripsicks 103 studio albums
Of this album, I only enjoy the track 04 ("The green land"), 16:53. Others seem boring to me.

2 out of 10 by Piero Scaruffi.
My project is to get all the TD albums on VINYL over the next few months. Everyone one ever released on vinyl.....its a challenge
The Clear Cut vinyl Force Majeur is a special one for me, I played it till it was smooth as glass.
Not bad.I still liked the Legend soundtrack a bit better. cheers.
