    (why I'll probably never do or be sent products to review)
    Did you try riding in that back seat for a road trip? I bet, even if it took The Full Joel, the level of comfort would be sub-optimal.
    Has anyone thought about the lever arm stresses on that mounting system with it being placed so low on the console? For a drink holder or trash option it might work; space looks to be at a premium.
    That iPad holder is going to give back-seaters hunch-neck. The ones under the bench... Beats me what they'd be good for other than dividers. People are creative though. It'll be interesting to see what designs appear.
    Screams of a gee-whiz gimmick to me. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @Sembazuru
      @Sembazuru Před 2 lety

      RE: lever arm stresses - According to the Ford webpage for FITS, any accessory should have a self-fail rating of 17lbs (or kg, I forget which). Presumably to protect the FITS slot from getting ripped out. They also said for heavier applications the accessory needs to be able to support itself from the floor.
      RE: Riding in the back seat - I don't have a Maverick. But from what I've seen on other CZcams videos, the backs of the front seats are concave, adding an inch or two to the leg room. Should reduce the cramping factor of the crewcab formfactor. (One reviewer who claimed to be average male height set the driver's seat to the appropriate position for him to drive comfortably and safely, and then got into the seat right behind the driver's seat and had enough leg room so his knees weren't hitting the back of the seat. If the seat-back had been flat he wouldn't have had the room.
      Yea, I've been doing a lot of research on these trucks since I'm in the market to get one as soon as I can find one in stock in my local area, or I wait for the '23 model year ordering to open. (There have been so many customer orders that Ford closed ordering on the Hybrids in November, and on the Turbos in February. Dealers can't get any inventory to sell to people off the street. Only if someone bails on their customer order can a dealer turn around and sell one to Joe/Jane Random.)

    Nice video but you could have done so much more, maybe something more like your old tutorial videos. Like how to design a giant fork for your Ford maverick video

    I know there's a cubby slot right next to the infotainment system that they said could be used for a 3D printed...thing. I'd love to see some ideas for something to fit in there. Like, of course storage drawers is the obvious one. But what are some other ideas? Maybe a miniature Tom Cruise in a fighter jet flight suit that can just stand in that cubby (cuz you know... Maverick! LOL)

    I think this is a good video but I feel overall Ford is not marketing this correctly. I went to the International Auto Show here in PDX a little bit ago. They had multiple Mavericks on display but no one working in the Ford booth knew what I was talking about when I asked to see them (the FITS system). I actually had to explain what they were and what they did to one guy who ended up calling over his colleagues and having me explain to them as well. I also really want it to make it's way into other Ford models. I put down the 100 bucks to get in line for the Lightning and I would love to see them added there as a mid cycle refresh before my turn to order.

    Really is fantastic. Openness and interoperability is something that should be MUCH more common in 2022. We have the ability to share info and create things like never before in the history of mankind and stifling that for stupid, petty, illogical reason (coughhondaappleonewheelcough) is a real travesty.

    Just wanted to say that I’ve been looking forward to this video ever since you teased it on Twitter! As a person who has never purchased a pickup, the Maverick checks a lot of boxes for me, and it’s great to get a different view on things vs some of the other reviews out there.
