    I am going to install a after market tilt and trim unit. This CMC tilt and trim unit will work on motors up to 130 HP. This unit might be a little big for my 25 hp Yamaha but we are going to give it a try. If you want to help me Keep the FREE videos coming us the link and I get a small commission at no cost to you.

    I like that Tilt Trim setup. It can be serviced easy with the motor off.

    Cool old gamefisher. I have an old 1968 3.5 Eska from Sears. Loud little thing is actually a Tecumseh 2 stroke. CMC price is double from when I first looked at it. I am glad I found this video. I bought a Panther Marine 55. Your plate idea is exactly what I need to put my 20 inch on my 17 inch transom

    Use marine sealant for the bolts and washers. That's dap kitchen and bathroom sealant and could wash out. 3m 4200 or 5200 is a boats friend!

    • @OmFishing
      @OmFishing  Před 3 lety +1

      I wanted to install my jack plate first and then the tilt and trim, I was not sure if that would move the center of gravity back to far. That 25 hp outboard I have is heavy. Let me know how it works out if you try it.

    • @The_Great_White
      @The_Great_White Před 3 lety

      Om Fishing I thought the Yamaha was suppose to be very light. I think I have some faith in my jackplate bc there was an older 1986 mercury 35 on there before that was built like a tank. So the tilt and trim and light Yamaha should be fine. I hope 🤞

      @@The_Great_White My evinrude 30hp weight was 118 lbs. My yamaha 25 weight is 126. Not a lot but more. I think the jack plate will hold with no problem. I just wonder how low the boat would set in the water with me back there.

    @willf5768 Před 4 lety +1

    Got s question for ya I have an old 1984 evinrude 25 and it smokes like a chimney and sucks gas like you wouldn’t believe. Put in some plugs rebuilt the carburetor and basically not much changed and the carburetor adjustment knob you turn it to the right and the rpms come up a bit and then turn it to the left it bogs down as acts like it wants to stall. So this motor is white and after running it and smoking up the whole lake it starts to turn black so I’m not sure but of only one thing If I keep running this thing Greta Thunburg is going to get me😳

    • @OmFishing
      @OmFishing  Před 4 lety +2

      I would look for a blockage in the exhaust. You might have to remove the lower unit to clean the exhaust and the midsection as well. That is the first place I would check. Thanks for watching and commenting. Stay Safe.
