- This is a companion video to my last upload from Monday on server FPS. In todays installment, we look at how shot registration works with low versus high server FPS in space combat. This is why you should care!
- Hry
I was on a 26fps server the other day. This game will be glorious once server mesh and related optimizations start working properly.
No doubt! I've had a few 20 fps servers and it runs amazing!
Oh yeah Dude server Mesh would be perfect + dlss
Especially NPC responses are very different and everything feels like a new game and fluent and without bugs on good server.
Absolutely! It seems the servers are more "self healing" now too where I'll see the fps drop to a certain point and then jump up to a stable level so the stability is definitely improving.
conversely, its better to do ground combat with low server fps because the npc reaction time is ~3 months.
Lmao! Yes, honestly I think they boost the damage on those guys to make up for it, but when you play on a good running server they're deadly as hell because of it haha!
I love bunker missions when server fps is high
you are shooting one of the bugged cuttys in the first part of the video. its not a server fps problem, the cutty is not taking damage. known issue.
see the bugfix list in "Star Citizen Alpha 3.22.0 EPTU.9012505 Patch Notes" in spectrum
Good to know, thanks for clarifying!
I noticed that the other day. So annoying
Yeah its tough! There's been a few times ive though to myself "man this loadout is terrible" and later I realise it wasn't the weapon, it was that the server wasn't registering the hits lol
@@Joes_Apartment That said, 3.22 is the BEST patch so far. So much more playable than previous patches. Now that SQ42 is almost done, we should see a ton of progress and improvements to SC. I'm so excited
Absolutely! 3.22 has been great, and with more resources focused on the PU I expect we'll see some pretty significant improvements in the next year. I'd go so far as to say that 3.22 being so solid is a result of resources already being moved to the PU dev team.
