Hey Thinkware! Can you guys make a cellular add on for this as well as multi camera mode?
Will you guys make a item for the cloud so we don't have to buy a 3rd party hotspot ? Plus it having it plug in or next to the camera will have it be running 24/7 unlike other hotspots where you need to charge it over time it will make things easier

Will this dashcam work in a 2022 Ford transit ? I'm just worried that the angle of the windscreen might be to steep. Thanks
Hi there! The U3000 rear camera has a tilt function wherein the camera lens can be adjusted to provide a better capture angle. Some other consumers used a bracket to install the rear camera. Please reach out to us via email at support@thinkware.com for more information. Thank you!
Does the u3000 use the same power lead as the u1000 so I can just swap the cameras over to upgrade or do I need to run new cables?
Hi! The U3000 uses the same power cable as the U1000 (Hardwiring Kit, OBD Cable, and 12V Power Cable). However, they differ in the rear camera cable that they use.
When it comes to the camera range the u1000 has about 155° or range for the front camera I'm not sure about the rear, I've seen that the u3000 has a lower range for both camera, what does this mean for camera specs?
Hi there! The front camera of the U3000 has a viewing angle of 152° diagonally and the rear camera has 128° diagonally. In terms of quality, the U3000 is equipped with Sony STARVIS 2 image sensor which delivers improved recording quality compared to the U1000. How is the battery consumption on a hybrid vehicle using the OBD cable?
Hi there! Unfortunately, we can not give you any specifics on how much a battery is being consumed since all vehicles are different from one another. We do have data to show how much power the U3000 consumes. During Continuous Recording Mode, the 2-channel consumes 420 mA while the 1-channel consumes 260 mA. Parking Mode consumes less power. During Motion & Impact Detection Mode, the 2-channel consumes 291 mA while the 1-channel consumes 166.2 mA. While on Radar Parking Mode, the 2-channel consumes 15.1 mA while the 1-channel consumes 12.2 mA.
Is there a reason why the radar in rear dash cam doesn't work for the U3000, I've read other reviews on amazon and even seen a review on youtube where they experienced the problem. Is it a hardware problem or a software issue?

Hi there! The U3000 uses two different apps. The Thinkware Dashcam Link App is used to manage the settings of the dashcam and access its live view settings while being connected to the dashcam. The Thinkware Connected App is used to access the Connected Features of the dashcam which includes access to the remote live view feature. I want to install a Mifi in my car, powered by a battery pack, so that a U3000 can always have wifi and be viewed live.
Hi! Thinkware Connected features are unavailable in Radar Parking Mode as all network data functions are turned off to reduce power consumption. Thinkware Connected Features can still be utilized under the other parking modes available. Thank you!
How many hours does this yield with the 256gb on max with the dual cameras?
U1000 states 265mins with 128gb max
Hello! The U3000 two-channel (Front and Rear camera) can record up to 215 minutes under high-quality settings, while 250 minutes if under normal quality settings.
@@thinkwaredashcam are you sure that is correct? The specs for the camera resolutions for front and rear are the same as U1000 except 256gb max instead of 128gb...
If that's the case, how can a large 256gb chip yield LESS that 128gb on on u1000?

Hello. Unfortunately, the U3000 can only connect one rear camera. The rear camera of the U3000 boasts a wide viewing angle of more than 150°.
Does the rear camera use the same cable as the old one?🤔

Hopefully it's heat resistant and can handle overheating issues
Hi! The U3000, together with its mount, is designed to prevent overheating and block sunlight heat. It comes with a heat-blocking film that reflects/blocks direct sunlight. The U3000 also comes with a Smart Parking Mode Feature which is a safety feature that prevents heat-related damage by automatically switching the U3000 to a low-power mode if the temperature inside the vehicle gets too high during Parking mode. In this state, the dash cam records incidents triggered by impacts only until its operating temperature is safe again to resume Motion Detection or Time lapse Parking mode. I use Drone Mobile to start my car during hot days and have ac turned on and during winter months when it gets minus 40 Celsius i have heat turned on and start vehicle every 2 hours to keep car warm and camera protected.

After we had an imbecile swipe the front of our brand new car we had one, with battery pack, fitted last week - so far so good.
Got a problem though, when I want to view the videos, recorded or live, it won’t do so.

Why would you put out a device that needs 2 phones in order to set up the cloud side of things? For the most expensive dashcam on the market, this is a 1 star from me.

Too much blah blah , this camera was designed just for the same people that made it just for them not for real costumers , cloud app its garbage to start then te camera itself , i bought it and returned same day , theres no reason why something simple has to be too complicated , before you guys start to talk about all the "premium features " all the time you better start to make tutorial videos about how to set up every camera , step by step, specially the u3000 its not even in the list of the cloud app when you try to set up this camera , waste of time , app its not even updated , people need to think twice before buy this thing.
