- This is an HD remake of an old video of mine, which also contained a small error. The town of Seligenstadt has a long history and contains the bones of some minor saints.

I was an exchange student in Seligenstadt in 1986-1987, and I still go back to visit every couple years. I love that place!
It's quite lucky that Germany has over 2000 years of heritage; Australia's oldest building is Elizabeth Farm: about 213 years old.

@drewnetwork Yes, I'm experimenting with different microphones and techniques. I'm on a shoestring budget here, with an array of cheap lapel mics and headsets, but modern computers seem to have really crappy sound cards. If I had the cash, I'd set up a little sound recording studio in the spare room.
The camera is a Panasonic HDC-SD707. I think I managed to get one of the last off the production line. Pretty decent for a consumer grade camera.

@xHabenWillx Naja, hauptsächlich im Internet: die offiziellen Websites der Städte, Wikipedia, Reiseberichte Anderer. Es gibt auch Bücher, und vor Ort gibt's oft Infotafeln.
Im nächsten Jahr findet dort auch das Eritrea Festival statt, wurde gerade in Gießen frei!

I just did some ancestry and found out that a large portion of my family came from here when it was still called Klein-Welzheim. I'll have to visit it one day!
Klein-Welzheim isn't the old name for Seligenstadt: it's a separate village that was incorporated into the town in 1977.

@dilork68 Magix Video deluxe 16 Plus. Aber eigentlich macht es weniger die Software und mehr die richtige Auswahl von Bildern und der Schnitt selbst. Man kann sogar sehr gute Videos mit Windows Movie Maker zusammenschneiden.

@rewboss Your camera is a consumer variant of the Panasonic HMC-40 (US version, there's a PAL equivalent), and damn nice on the consumer line. If you learn it, really learn it (especially the manual controls available) you really can produce motion imaging on par with professional production companies.
As you are now - you're video is near magnificent. The only thing I'd throw at you is to lower the "sharpness" a bit - this is a vast technical essay - but it means you'll get cleaner images.

A white peacock - while still being beautiful - looses a lot of his impact and when it raises its feathers it looks rather like chicken exploding in slow-motion.
I'm thinking the visuals look better (new camera?) but the audio sounds worse (different recording method?) The audio isn't bad, I just seem to remember being impressed with your audio -- and this isn't impressing me in the same way.
The images look like a lower contrast Sony. Does that mean it's a Canon Vixia or Power Shot something?
As a side note -- I do enjoy these "Destination" videos. They're like fresh air in the urban decay of CZcams.
