A Mincho solo that comes out of nowhere & a song with riffs that have more emotional edge than "The Edge". What could be better :)

DAYDREAMING is a song about the heartbreaking agony of longing to be reunited with someone you can never be with again. KANAMI perfectly captures that feeling in her dramatic solo.
My favorite Kanami solo that I've ever heard because I feel like I can see the skies to heaven open. I get emotional every time I hear it.
Everything about this song is pure emotion.. you don't even have to know the lyrics to "feel" what Saiki and Miku are singing, and that same emotion comes through each band member, wrapped up perfectly by Kanami in that heartstrings pulling solo..btw Saiki is Mesmerizing to the ears and eyes..
This was the first video that I heard from Band Maid that made me fall truly in love with them. Thanks for reminding me of why I love them so much. Kanami's solo was absolutely perfect for conveying the mood of the song.

Thanks for reacting to one of their slower melodic songs- they get forgotten about amongst all their more metal fans. Kanami composed this some years ago and was her favourite song. There is a beautiful piano version by her around. You are correct- Saiki's voice is a jewel in these slower songs along with Kanami's Santana-ish solo here.

Yes, I agree this music video is the rare time when it just comes across more fully than the live versions, so far.
Maybe because it’s an intimate song. On a stage, as a group, with a crowd, there is some feelings that aren’t quite there.
For example, the clouded view of her through a window, looking down, singing her part? You can’t capture that on stage.
Let’s see how they do it at Yokohama. I guarantee they’ll have some surprises for us there. I got my ticket 🎟️ 😊
They did it very differently with exquisite guitar intro...just beautiful. Large crowd but somewhat intimate.
The buildup from Misa and Akane, which is so brilliantly completed by Kanami with her solo, gets me again and again. Not to mention Saiki and Miku's voices. For me, this is still the song that ranks a little higher than all the others. ❤🔥🕊

The Miku vocal backing is so emotional. I am not one of those who am suckered in by songs but I wouldn't disagree about the filter. She is one of the best singers at bringing out the emotion of a song. Be it playful or deeper. Saiki has the voice and I think is much better now than when this was done. It really is a hard song not to fall into. Glad you heard the MV as well now. Live or recorded they remain wonderful musicians.

Daydreaming, About Us, Anemone, Endless Story, Memorable, PAGE, Wonderland, Awkward, Start Over, Mirage, At the Drop of a Hat and Smile -- an unbelievable range of mid-tempo songs from the greatest hard rock band on the planet - Band-Maid. "Daydreaming," "YOLO," "Puzzle,” and a host of others are world-class masterpieces. Although I love Daydreaming just the way it is and believe it may be Band-Maid's best composed and overall accessible song, I've always wondered if it was sung in English, how deep in the international market Daydreaming would have traveled...? Oh well, I'll stop daydreaming now. Thx Jeremy and Braden, for another great Band-Maid reaction!
as great as they are live there is something about the original mv's that just grab me. this song , real existence , dice , alone , yolo, don't you tell me , etc. the perfect sound as it was recorded , the imagery of each mv that tells it's own story . now if i could only see a live show my life will be complete !
One thing I really like about Band-Maid is that they are progressive and always pushing themselves to be better and that includes production. I think for the purist they can go over board and that turns some people off. I know that for myself there are times that I wish they would have stripped certain songs or sections of songs back just a bit but to honest, I dont want them to change a thing because that is how they keep evolving and I also think that is how they keep themselves entertained as artists and how they can keep pushing so hard. Like Saiki says, "Let's go Fucking Crazy!!!"

just a side note here. You see SAIKI wearing high heals in this video. She used to wear them on stage as well. In the live video REAL EXISTANCE - SAIKI and MISA are dancing with each other and then kneel down to each other. This is because SAIKI lost her shoes (they went into the audience) and so SAIKI was barefoot like MISA always is. If you watch the newer live videos SAIKI now wears boots. I guess so she can't loose them on stage?!?
There is that advantage, but they're not just any boots, they're thigh-top--sexy as all get-out! 🤗

I personally have never found Band-Maid sounding Better on the studio track, just as good a great deal of the time, but never better then when they play live. Again Personally I find many many Japanese bands to be better Live then the studio tracks present them to be, this is not to say I think they studios are bad, just that the lives are better.
I enjoy the reactions but dude, telling him he sounds like he's reading a script in possibly his most animated intro to date (at least among the BM reactions)? The "I'm excited, Jeremy's excited," line while both usually looking and sounding bored af is the most scripted part of every intro. 😅 Don't take his sh*t, Jeremy!
