Well, I think the Ice Queen get's alittle warmer after all this time. If you watch the video of their concert in February, you can see, she is much more active than the yars before. There is one video ( no music video ) " Saiki get a Teddy Bear", where she is so cute.
Early on Miku said, we are not an Idol band, judge us on our work. She had the idea to contrast maid uniforms with hard rock. Part of the wisdom is when they are not playing or when they are done, they change into regular clothes and can go about being normal people. The maid outfit is just like work clothes, when you go in a store like target they are dressed like Target people, when not at work they dress like normal, no work uniform. Some complain about the maid outfits but once you see the wisdom of what Miku did it makes perfect sense. Smart talented women, not objects..

This is such a beautiful song. But Kanami really needs to mow her lawn. LOL. It's actually Miku (the cute one on Rhythm Guitar and Harmony Vocal) that takes on the 810 year old pigeon persona. The story I heard, though I can't confirm it, is that someone once told her she looked like a pigeon in her outfit and she ran with it, creating the whole persona. In any case, she knows how Japanese pop culture works and plays into it. She founded the band and works tirelessly to promote it. The "band of maids" concept was her idea. Saiki, the lead singer, on the other hand, is totally opposite. She's very pragmatic and avoids the whole pop culture "character personality" thing. She prefers to just get behind the mic and sing.

If you see the live version, saiki is heartbreaking with her performance as are the band and more dynamic than the record. i never really loved this song til they served it up good live. Genius arrangement by Kaname and the girl. Beautiful counter melodies from Miku too. So many things to like, the bass , drums and the solo.

In recent interviews they have referred to their maid uniforms as “Battle Dress” and that says a lot about how much they’ve grown together.

Actually she said that her last name "Kobato" means "little" or "pigeon" so that's why she always say that she is a pigeon.
