Sulphur, Oklahoma: Tornado flattens buildings, leaves trail of damage

- The National Weather Service says the tornado that hit Sulphur, Oklahoma was at least at EF-3, but could be even stronger. At least 4 people died after tornadoes touched down across the state.
Wow, earlier today they said no one had lost their lives. I'm so sorry to hear this update. Prayers for strength and healing for Sulphur and all affected by these tornados.
One of my cousins survived in her closet in sulphur. Her house is destroyed. I used to live in sulphur when i was in high school. Makes me cry. This town will never be the same.
We’re incredibly lucky we got off with only 4 fatalities. This is horrible…

Pictures don't do these storms justice. They are a lot worse than you think. Prayers for the lost ones families. I went through similar tornado a couple years back. It's hard dealing with everything and insurance isn't easy to deal with.

The man lost his furniture store AND his warehouse‼️🙈
That man is my cousin his dad has owned the furniture store for 24 years and he was taking over the business since he was retiring. I feel so bad for them it saddens me because they put everything into that company!

So sorry to hear this, I've bought furniture there a few times over the years. The tornado missed us by a few blocks but we heard it--it was awful. Haven't been that scared in a long time.

More likely the decimation of the land by pioneers by removing bushes trees and natural land marks to help stop these things. Its called bad husbandry. And it exists all over the united states and you pay for their foolishness. The downtown area was almost 100% historic STRUCTURAL brick buildings and they got demolished.
