- One of the best drone and tornado videos ever captured. First ever close range tornado video shot from drone. Shot by Brandon Clement as the drone gets within 50 yards of the tornado at the end. You can watch as the tornado transforms as it hits the a pond, road, trees and dances in a field. Shot near Sulphur, Oklahoma on April 30, 2019.
It picked up some lake water and watered some trees. I think this tornado did more good than harm
Hom Tanks It tilled a little bit of soil too.
Lol
Can all tornadoes be this harmless? It's almost cute!
Tania this is a small EF-0 tornado. Winds don’t exceed 90mph but they can damage small trees and roofs or wood fences but nothing more
Tania Tornados can only be this harmless when they travel through the same type of terrain as this one did regardless of strength. (Open fields)🙂
If u walked thro that, it would have ripped ur skin clean off!..lol
EF0s account for the vast majority of tornadoes. The monsters are much rarer.
@@FrankMontes24 I'm pretty sure an EF0 doesn't exceed 73 mph.
That's more like an ambitious dust devil.
🤣
It’s still visually stunning footage.
Even at that size, it'll still do some serious damage to a farm or home if it sat on it long enough.
it just looks like it's out for a stroll around the park.. >"}
I'm dead 💀
@@ssdtrain1 There was 1 about that size in Indiana a couple of decades ago that was hauling ass and slammed into a house at full speed and destroyed it,The whole thing was caught on film with the guy recording stating that a funnel earlier went into the woods nearby.
I've seen Vacuum cleaners more dangerous than this twister.
Lmao!! Give this man the likes he deserves 🤣😆
That's true. The FBI'S so called "founder" had his own vacuum method he used on Clyde. He called it the "Hoover Maneuver".
Put your video negative guy
Yes, this appeared to be an F minus one on the scale.
The tornado's strong winds have failed to pick up debris. The debris flying around at 160mph are responsible for a lot of the damage associated with tornado itself.
That tornado could barely lift a lawn chair.
Lol
That's because it is not real
Not real? How so?
@@johnramsey6604 Oh geez....there's always that ONE guy who thinks every video he's in the matrix......
@@StonyDilithium Good comment so I give a like. No question it's fake though . Several reasons 1st, if you watch the base of the tornado there is absolutely no evidence on the ground that it just passed over. 2nd, After it passes over the small pond the water is completely undisturbed. 3rd, Birds appear to be flying towards it rather than away from it. 4th, As it moves over the patch of red dirt, no red dirt debris is seen. 5th, There is absolutely no fluctuation from the perspective of the drone meaning it is not affected by the wind at all. And 6th, Just before the tornado dissipates the drone stops pursuing it, Repositions its camera almost as if the pilot knew the event was coming to an end.
Timing - being there at just the right time with just the right equipment. Fantastic footage. Great job!
Innovations in storm chasing.
Very clever.
3:00 Proof that even EF0s have multiple vortexes. They're inside every tornado.
Vortices*
@@DartsNoCity Fun fact. The latinate (spelling?) plural is never "better" than the English version. Just preferred with some words for some reason. Octopuses and octopi are both correct. Same with vortex.
I agree. Multiple vortex tornadoes are ALL tornadoes in some form or fashion.
If you’re British or Australian, you say Vortices most likely. Most American chasers I know call it vortexes
@Ozone Right, because actual physical video evidence is inferior to the random 1-line opinion of some douche on CZcams. So glad you blessed us all with your opinion, professor.
This really puts into perspective how fast they move.
It's so fantastic to see it from that perspective.
Tornado: "Don't mind me, just taking a shortcut to work"... >"}
Sorry but you missed the trailer park. What kind of twister misses a trailer park?
Dont sit there spinning like you ain't got a clue. Turn around and do your job
That this tornado traversed the entire fields picking its way through the trees without destroying them is amazing. Bless its little heart.
This must have been an F0, F1. This was actually relaxing to watch. I like the vantage of being up high and not on the ground. It's not as as scary. And the fact it followed the tornado across fields and places a chaser can't go. Can you tell it's my first drone footage of a tornado? Thank you for posting this! Please post more
Karen Gummer I agree with everything you said. Very very cool video even if it’s only an EF0?
Yep I must third this statement- being high is great.
@@mikevoss3732 hahahaha
It didn’t even break the trees or smush the fields, though it did move that object on the pond a short distance.
Tornadoes aren't allowed to cross fields. They have to respect boundaries just like everyone else.
I love the fact that people are pointing out how disappointed they are with how weak this tornado was.
Crap like "That's it, my vacuum cleaner has more than power that!"
Like the drone pilot had a say in the matter. Just the fact they were able catch this footage is remarkable.
The real sadness is that these idiots think Hollywood is real. They live in a fake bubble of horseshit.. 20 years ago the commentators would have a different view. That's why snowflakes are so hated
I believe theyre criticizing the tornado. I havent heard anybody say he should have made his tornado stronger.🤪
@@nicstr28 My point is... Why say anything? The tornado doesn't give a crap what anyone thinks. The only one who can take offense to anything is The drone pilot (which I hope they don't).
The drone pilot got some great video of something that most people never have an opportunity of seeing. The problem is that people just like to hear themselves talk... Just watch the video and enjoy it for what it is.
Should have flown the drone straight into it that would have been cool.
I can throw a gopro while recording and post it. Would look the same.
WXChasing but the integrity is lost. 😂
@@WxChasing a small free flight glider type of design that deployed from your drone with a built in gps tracker.....
@@christopherleveck6835 I actually had some plans very similar to this that got completely derailed by Covid. Hopefully it can happen next year.
That is so fake! Nice try!
That Twister looked so benign that I thought it was CG at first. Then I saw Helen Hunt had Dorothy out...
That touchdown in Arkansas not so long back was almost made for television. All this time I along with my fellow motorists have been giving those D.O.T. cams the finger because we knew some bureaucrat was sitting at a monitor counting the fingers we gave them.
Finally 1 got a chance to do some real work for once. Bravo!
Great footage! Love the white birds actually playing with the tornado. Crazy ass birds!
The way it picked up the water from the pond and sprayed it out was awesome!!
VERY cool vid. I can see drone footage quickly becoming an important tool in tornado science. Amazing how steady the vid is. Be interesting to see how close these things can get to more powerful tornadoes. And as the equipment gets better, they may not even have to be that close for great captures.
Fascinating. Nature and technology. Almost seemed animated. Kudos
Coolest birds eye view of a tornado I’ve ever seen!
From the land of no tornados.... this was fascinating. Thank you!
It's like a Tornado took a selfie!
🌪🤳 With that slightly looking down angle..
It looks so delicate and demure, it’s so strange how deadly and dangerous these things can be, and yet they also possess a lot of beauty.
AreYouSufferingX Agreed
You just described my ex wife...
Living in middle TN this makes me glad it didnt hit anything. The devastation from these last tornados is heart wrenching.
This is just a lil guy. But still a sign of a bad thunderstorm and hail in any case.
I was ready for the drone to go round and round
Towards the end there were birds sling shotting themselves around it😂
This was amazing, makes looking at tornadoes so much better versus on the ground
Doing more of these is a must and I can’t wait for another. Great video!!!
What a laid-back twister. It moves as it's taking a leisurely stroll through a park.
I was brought up in Texas to believe that tornados won't cross bodies of water nor climb hills. So much for that! :-)
First time in history that a drone scared a tornado away. Brandon should be proud of this drone stunt. Good job.
Amazing and beautiful footage bravo is a pleasure to watch it like that from the sky ! Thank you for this footage good job and it doesn't matter the F
Congratulations, that is quite an achievement!
I thought the "drone" footage wouldn't offer anything new, I WAS WRONG! So cool! Now I'm searching"drone change tornados". Great job with this!
INCREDIBLE!!!!! The best drone footage in history! Someday I hope to fly mine near one. I have the mavic 2 zoom so I may be able to stay further away. What drone do you fly Brett?
You haven't seen much drone footage lol
Perfect viewing angle and to see it have shape and almost loose shape and to how it reacts to various elevations that's pretty cool
Great shot..... way to go Brandon Clement this is more that what we all could expect for
The range of that drone is crazy. Great video!
Awesome footage!! I bet it was comforting to chase a tornado right on its tail remotely! It is so cool to see how the winds affect the ground even when there is no condensation.
WOW! You just took the mystery out or what a long track tornado looks like. An aerial closeup at that. Looks like a EF-0, not producing any damage. Great vid!
Thank you for not having annoying music in the background
Luckily it was a weak EF0... Try that next to a Moore EF5 style tornado and would probably be very difficult indeed
Drone footage always unlike any other! Thumbs up from over here...
What is this? An F0 (40-72 mph)? Doesn't look very strong.
Clearly it's an EF-5...right?
A common misconception is that the Fujita scale measures wind speed, when in fact it uses damage to rate the strength of the tornado. For this reason, you can have a 200MPH F-0 as long as it forms in a field and damages nothing. So in conclusion you are right, this would be an F-0.
@@KG-sx2ou true 100%
Tornadoes can be scary, this looks like a QT.
I doubt it could lift a chicken.
Cool Film!
This is such a fascinating video! I've never gotten to see a live tornado myself. Very interesting video!
Awesome video, can't imagine why anyone would dislike it. I live in Blanchard Oklahoma, right in tornado alley!
Awesome work! I can't to see what you capture this season!
Congratulations! Great piece of footage.
Noone searched for this
But we all needed it
I just watched one that showed homes being destroyed, woods being flattened, and a mobile home being flipped over. That one was a bit better than this. Still neat to see it's forward progress and thank god nothing was destroyed or hurt with this one.
Excellent video, loved the different perspective of viewing this tornado. Hope you manage to film some more when the opportunity arises.
This is the perspective you'd have if you were observing an air chamber with a column of wind whirling about inside. It's friggin awesome, a true breakthrough in the science💪
Way to go! Thanks for taking the risk with a valuable tool. If you could also put a barometer on it, or some other Met Pack, it would be good info for the SPC, or other NWS scientists.
Thats funny how the birds are playing in the tornado. They just fly right into it and get wrapped around and launched out of the side. Lol
Scary weather!!!Pleased the one on my video was a WaterSpout, even though it hit houses and just missed our apartment!
Very cool - lots of comments here about "what a gentle tornado". I have never seen a video like this and I found it fascinating! Thanks for filming and posting. I appreciate it!!
Thank you! Amazing Duck's eye view of the Devils fang....that pond footage was great!!😎👍
Even a tornado hates drones
When flying near tornadoes, always be sure to have your video cache set to the maximum so when you are hit with RFD or sucked into the vortex you will still have a copy of your flight to put on CZcams.
Wow, what an amazing shot!
Awesome range with the drone, this is really great video
Incredible footage! Very friendly looking little tornado. Please try to do this again with some bigger ones!!! Thanks for an amazing video!!!
That. Is freaking incredible. Beautiful shot, guys. WELL done!
They should have hired you for the Moon Landing videos.
LMAO
Had to leave a comment. Marvelious!
That was really cool.
Didn’t even knock down the power lines it hit. What a cute, good little tornado!
I've never seen tornado shot in such a way beautifully done
Id have sacrificed the drone by flying into the funnel. What a missed opportunity. That said, this is still utterly amazing, great job.
That's one brave little drone and excellent footage.
Water from that pond seemed to weaken it a little
Poor tornado almost drown.
It put a lot of effort into slightly moving that black object on the water.
Hey tornado! Come back! We just want your picture. Now.... hold still.... :-D Great video! I'll be looking for more from you. Thanks for posting.
Awesome footage. Here in New Jersey we dont have land like that where you can see for miles without a house or building in sight. Simply beautiful. 👍
Coolest tornado I've ever seen! These are the kind I wish we had when we have them, ones that dance on the fields, and don't damage or hurt anything or anyone. The kind you practically stand under (not that you should) but if you did you wouldn't be hurt, just maybe blown over. Great HD footage!!!
Beautiful, cute, fascinating. Fantastic video.
So when the local news stations says frantically tornado warning take cover seek shelter immediately...this pup strolls along...
WOW, this is amazing. Thank you for sharing!👍🏼
Excellent filming
So glad Brett got this video‼️ It’s absolutely amazing way to see a tornado ‼️ Beautiful in its own way . Glad it wasn’t in the path of people .
Agreed
Brandon Clement got this video, Brett brokered it. Doesn't take away the value of this, though.. drones are the future of chasing.
I am glad someone did this. Amazing footage.
The hail stones bouncing around it are very interesting. We've never seen the phenomenon of them swirling around the funnel like that pre-drone.
There are no hail stones. Raindrops and small debris only. Hail would shred a drone.
It was jus taking a stroll down memory lane 😂😂😂😂
congratulations Brandon great coverage, hug.
It’s cool how the tornado just slowly fades away at the end! I’m so glad that it was a weak one and that no one was killed or injured. I take it that twisters this mild are quite rare. Still stunning footage though!!
Most tornadoes happen out in rural and open pastures. Like this one.
That was amazing, thanks for sharing.
Doideira total. Parabéns........ Excelente vídeo!!!
Hope you get one with single suction vortex with vortex breakdown and helical vortex
Great fotage cool way to see a tornado from a different aspect
F0 twister : let's play on the vegetation
F5 twister: let's play in the metropolitan area
Aww it is so cute picking up the dust off the ground ☺️
GREAT footage, and props to the pilot!
Amazing footage, you can almost see a demon dancing across the landscape throwing a little fit
That's the way to view tornado footage hope to see more awsome
I can’t believe all those storm chasers from the past never used a drone before.
KOBI, if you get too close, your drone is toast.
Okay, now that was pretty cool.
Awesome scene. I truly enjoyed this.
Nice work with the drone. I could see debree falling in front of the drone.
I know the tornado is weak, but this is the kind of stuff that I have waited my whole life to see
This is great, thank you
