For decades I have heard about and dreamed about someday making this epic road trip ; never seen anything on this except some old still photos and some archival b&w film footage of the building of this road . Thanks Dave for taking us along on this one ; a truly beautiful and spectacular stretch of northern bush ! The scenery is just " to die for " . Enjoyed everything about this vid ; the music , editing , your philosophical rants , the bear scenes , the history , hanging out with Daisy , etc . Really diggin' your channel , Mister ! Glad you made it safely there . All the best , Glenn

I'm so happy that this popped up on the CZcams feed! I caught Brooke and Moose's Michigan to Alaska trip not too long ago, so it's a treat to see your earlier version. Now it's 24 years since your very first solo road trip there. Bet that doesn't make you feel like you're getting older! Great scenery, even better stories and so fun to see da Woof in her prime. Thanks for taking thousands of us along! Now I feel the need to go make some coffee. 😃 ☕

I'm sooo thankful you posted this wonderful trip! You're so right about not procrastinating doing things like this or whatever your dream might be. My husband and I put off a trip to Canada until he retired. Right after he did, pain and mobility issues hit me and put me in a wheelchair. No more dream vacations or travel.
So, thanks and blessings for all the videos you and Brooke post! I binge on them and they really give me something to look forward to and a lot of laughter! 🙏👏👍👍😀🥰

I know this was four years ago but I had to tell you I lived in London Ontario for a year and a half and I absolutely loved it! There were so many different areas just been time in! You have woods, you have the city, you have country type of to areas and there’s the reservation. You just get a little bit of everything and I just adored it! I hated leaving but my mother was sick with lung cancer and I had to go home!

Thank you ❤️ for all your videos and sharing so much with us, but this 20th anniversary trip was really exceptional! Thank you, Dave. The scenery is breathtaking! You are the most real, down-to-earth, kind, smart, funny guy ever! I absolutely LOVE Daisy and your relationship with her. Her sweet nature makes me think of our 20+ years of golden retrievers. There’s nothing like a good dog for company on a road trip!
Thank you again for taking us with you and sharing so unselfconsciously the details of your travels. I feel like you and Brooke are old friends and that I’ve actually been to Alaska and Michigan! Thank you so very much. You two are everyday heroes to me, and your kids are amazing, too. ❤️ May God continue to bless you in all that you do. You are bringing a lot of good to this old world! ❤️😘
A big hug for Daisy and a scratch for the kitties.

This had to have been one of the best videos I've ever watched. You're a natural camera man and travel guide, and I've never seen this part of the country. M/Daisy adds the perfect touch. 20 years ago I drove the Pacific Coast Highway from southern CA to Yosemite. It remains the most beautiful part of the country I've ever seen, but for a Connecticut girl, those big trees and mountain passes were incredible. It spurred a love for mountains that I suspected was always there, but now I know is "home."

Ok perfect road trips !!!!! I watched all your road trip videos !!! Man this brought back great memories!!! A buddy and myself did a spur of the moment RT to Colorado to go fishing and visit some of his family in a fifty dollar car . It had a slant six and a three on the tree . We crisscrossed our way to his family s place. Never really did much fishing but pretty much rebuilt the car on the trip up. One used radiator a clutch a water pump a master cylinder rebuild and a few other odds n ends. Had craftsmen tools and a scout knife electrical tape and bailing wire and could fix anything Only real prep we did before we left was install a stereo with a cassette player . Food was in a Styrofoam cooler . Cokes crackers and peanut butter . We thought we were living like kings !!! My wife and I had an escort wagon like yours . Grew out of it when our third baby arrived but we put well over a hundred thousand miles in a couple of years . Great car. Really enjoy yours and your wife's videos. No BS honest and down to earth. Thank you !

I've been looking forward to this one for a while! As a native Great Plains stater who'd often generally rather be up in the mountains, or the Northwoods, I have to say that I've learned to appreciate the special beauty of the wide open plains. There's something...i don't know...spiritual about them. I probably feel more of God's presence in the plains than I do in the high mountains. But, it's all beautiful, and I love it all!

I absolutely enjoyed this. It was like I was on the trip with you. I just sat back and ate my can of corn while watching this beautiful trip. My wife and I have been watching your channel and your wife's channel for a while now. And we enjoy both of them and you both have inspired both of us to want to go build our own cabin once we get everything figured out. Keep posting and we'll keep watching.

I know all of the build videos do extremely well for you, but this is classic Bushradical. I miss these lower 48 to Alaska videos. Always fun to go back and watch them. A lot of my solo travel has been influenced over the years by your means and methods.

I watched that from my desk at work while having my lunch and coffee, wondering why the heck I was sitting at the desk and not travellling somewhere. This was almost as good as being there. When you got into Saskatchewan I was waiting for you to break in to the song "a little bit north of Saskatoon" but then figured it was probably copyrighted. Glad to hear you use your own music as background sounded good. Thanks for sharing.

Dave, I just joined your Alaska Adventure Trip. Gee!! I enjoyed my trip with you and Daisy so mush it was a maliciousness sight and adventuress TRIP I have ever been on it felt like I was right there while just watching it all on video.. I never would have seen any of this if I didn't accidentally end up scanning you tube looking for interesting videos to watch.. I wasn't by any means sorry that I did, in fact I was very grateful and happy I did. Thank you so much for sharing. Virginia Havu
PS. Will you be going again ever? If you do and I'm still here or around and can still see, you bet I'll be watching...

Hey Virginia. I'm so glad you enjoyed the road trip video. Actually I take that trip 2 times a year. In the spring I go north to Alaska and in the fall I go south to Michigan. I have another series on my channel about the drive up to Alaska. Its 5 videos long I believe.

So glad to hear you thank the Lord for watching out after you at about 35:03, as I was thanking Him for watching out for you, bringing that loose front right wheel to the forefront BEFORE the mountains (and steep ravines!). LOVED the montage of incredible scenes from the trip at the end! Wonderful trip.
