- I decided to do this battle...because I have been noticing a lot of comparisons (side eye). But I'll let the video speak for itself. I want to say that all three are talented singers. Enjoy the video!

This video proves that people needs to stop saying Adele is a better vocalist than Beyoncé. Overall, Whitney Houston won hands down but Beyoncé is a way better vocalist than Adele. I really hope that Beyoncé shows off more of her vocal ability with her Sixth Album.
Adele wins! Well has second place because Adele is different it's unique. Christina can sing better than Beyoncé. Their voices are common but Adele is unique she doesn't have to shake her butt or do dance moves and get a boob lift to be accepted. Adele is the second greatest!!!

My opinion:
Whitney: Best instrument
Beyonce: Best technique
Adele: Interesting tone
Adele is a very simplistic singer who let's her tone and limited genre (with limited theme) do most of the talking. She's great in her lane, but I cannot imagine her venturing out into other genres, such as doing a more upbeat dance track (cannot imagine her sing something like Love On Top). She lacks versatility but good singer overall who stays loyal to her craft and genre and doesn't try to conform to current popular sounds for relevancy.
Beyonce's technique allow her voice to transition into many different genres. She can sing slow ballads in legato that require a velvety lyric voice (check her tribute to Barbra Streisand), power ballads for dramatic voices such as Listen, and songs with mid to uptempo beats such as Crazy in Love, Single Ladies, and Love on Top that require the agility and accuracy of coloratura voices. Downside is that her tone limits her ability to make beautiful renditions of some songs (all singers are limited by this however) regardless of her perfect technique. Her duet with Josh Groban for Believe, her rendition of Ave Maria, Over the Rainbow, and Bohemian Rhapsody are just a few examples in my opinion. Her technique could not save her on these performances.
Whitney's voice was truly a God-given, and in the words of Oprah, she was anointed by Him to serve this world with that beautiful voice. She could be soft, delicate, and vulnerable but blossom into this powerful, large voice that would fill up an entire auditorium and send chills all over your spine with its grandeur, magnificence and richness. She had an instrument that could be versatile as the clarity of her tone was pure (very crystal clear sound unlike a murky and harsh tone like Jennifer Hudson's for example) and the evenness in color (ratio of darkness to light was near equal while Beyonce's and Adele's voices tend to be more dark regardless of being mezzos) allow her voice to be the optimal quality (the gold standard). She had an above average technique (very developed head voice, rich vibrato (though people claim she uses the gospel jaw), and rich mid belts) that was still slightly inferior to Beyonce's technique but superior to Adele's technique. Combining an above average technique with a great instrument truly brought one of the greatest sounds in recorded music history. Whitney could sing a soft and simple ballad like Saving All My Love, to power ballads like I Will Always Love You, to dance tracks like I Wanna Dance With Somebody, to soft and fast phrased R&B songs like It's Not Right But It's Okay, to smoother R&B songs like Exhale, to gospels like A Quiet Place, etc. As a technical singer she was far from perfect, but she truly was The Voice.
If I were to describe how each of their voices provokes me, I would say Adele's voice makes my heart vulnerable, Beyonce's voice leaves my ears impressed, and Whitney's voice leaves my spirit inspired.
Adele is versatile. Have you not heard her send my love. That's different. She's only been in the industry for a few years so give her some time to prove her self as a true and beautiful vocalist. She could do different genres if she wanted to
Range of Techniques and being multi dimensional goes to Beyonce. She has
many more sharpened diverse techniques. Whitneys technique is amazing
on solid notes and clean on runs. Adele doesnt really sing with
technique all the time to as why she has vocal chord damage. Adele has a
naturally beautiful sounding soultry voice but a very low range.
Whitneys range is great and her tone is crystal clear like no other.
Beyonce is trained is every genre and technique when it comes to being a
vocalist. Her voice may not be as naturally pleasant to hear to most
but she is definitely the most find tuned overall singer. She is a
vocalist of a much larger specturm, with her voice alone she can be a
band or an orchestra.
I think her rendition of ave Maria was beautiful. And how you describe Whitney is literally the description of her fach spinto soprano.
I loved your comment, I agree with almost everything. Whitney has a magnificent voice like Beyoncé, and it seems a terrible mistake to compare them with Adele, she sings well but still has a voice that needs more work and experience.

Whitney when at her best was one of the best. Truly a force to be reckoned with. Beyonce was not born with the best instrument but because of her incredible technique and continued improvements she is now at the level of truly incredible vocalist. Adele writes some lovely pop songs, and she is not a terrible vocalist, but she's nowhere near Beyonce's level and cannot even be mentioned in the same breath as Whitney. I think the industry has so few good singers that Adele was championed but in actual fact her competition is not massive

Whitneys instrument is more robust and able to produce a substantially larger column of sound than Beyonces and many would be of the opinion that her tone is more pleasant. But again thats just down to personal preference. Beyonce is the more polished technique wise and has the greater vocal agility and larger range.
No way lol. Whitney was good but I dont see anything why Beyonce voice would be naturally worse than Houston's . I am not a fan of Bey I prefer Whitney but Beyonce is now better vocalist than Whitney even in her prime in 80'. Better head voice wider vocal range better lows and vibrato. Maybe Houston had better belts but its because she was spinto and had more powerful voice than Bey. At least Beyonce is a perfectionist and wont fuck up her voice like "The Voice" did.

People adore Whitney in a way Beyonce will NEVER reach. Whitney is the golden standard for a reason. People cite her rendition of the Star spangled banner as one of the greatest performances of all time. No Beyonce performance has ever been that praised. People only praise Beyonce for her wannabe “goddess-like” image. Whitney was praised for her powerful and emotional vocals. Beyonce has never reached the level of Fame and success that Whitney did in the bodyguard era. Beyonce has never had a hit like I will always love you that everybody knows. Beyonce is a very talented individual, but her popularity is overstated. She was never as big as Whitney, and she was definitely never praised like Whitney. Even Madonna said that she was jealous of Whitney's voice.
I agree that Whitney is a lot better, but there is a contradiction in what you say bc if her voice had been a gift of God, she would have preserved it till the end of her career. Also, she would still be alive, singing for us. Unfortunately, God does not exist.

Exclusively on Vocals the crown goes to Whitney. Overall stage presence I would say Beyonce. What separates Beyonce from all the other vocal talents such as Mariah Carey, Patti Labelle etc. is the fact she is also an entertainer. No other vocalist I know in the history of music can both sang and do intense choreography to the degree of Beyonce. Between the vocals, dance moves, and the artistry design of her shows this is why lot of people consider Beyonce be the best in the music industry including older legends.

She's not overrated(people even underrate her vocal abilities). Only one woman in this video is overrated.

Whitney most definitely won this battle but I do think Beyoncé is also amazing. Her technique is out of this world, it's nearly perfect. But I'm not really a big fan of Adele. Then, we would see that Beyonce was not in that league. We witnessed this at the Grammys when Beyonce sang that lackluster version of Amazing grace, it was weak and lacked the vocal grit needed by a Yolanda Adams, Whitney or Aretha Franklin. Beyonce is fantastic eye candy, she carries a tune, but she is not the voice of her generation.

I like Adele and her music but there is no denying that she is a tad bit overrated. This video alone proves it. I've heard so many people say she has the best voice of all time, and no one sounds like her that's why she sells so many records, but off the top of my head I can name a list of singers (past & present) who in my opinion have far better voices than her. This video already shows that Whitney and Beyonce does, but I too think that Mariah Carey (In her prime), Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion, Brandy, Monica, Tori Kelly, Jasmine Sullivan, Ledisi, Jill Scott, Sia, Jessie J, Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia etc. all have better voices. Don't get me wrong I'm not hating on Adele I'm just confused why people act like "her voice is sent from the heavens above" (no joke, I've seriously heard numerous people say that) and I'm just like you people must not listen to music at all because there are plenty of singers out there with better voices than Adele sorry.

Also how many records someone sells does not equal how talented they are. As it stands now Madonna is the most successful female artist of all time with over 300 million records sold worldwide, so by your standards would you say Madonna is a better *singer* than Adele and every other female artist in music history?... NO! record sells and popularity does not determine the level of someone's talent.

Adele is my idol and my inspiration, but I know that technically Beyonce and obviously Whitney are better than her.
Most people just love to underestimate Beyonce. Technically, she can sustain the same notes that Whitney could. The only difference is her song type does not allow her to showcase the same vocal executions as Whitney and all the the greats from the past. But she CAN if she's given the chance. I mean she slayed an Etta James role in Cadillac records with ease. Beyonce can SANG but she lacks songs that allows her to 'cause most of her music are made in a way that she can ALSO showcase her other talents like dancing and rap singing.

I mean, if that's in doubt ask yourself why this video was ended at Eb5 when Beyonce and Whitney have most of their best belts from E5-F#5, going up to G#5 iirc. FIRST THINGS FIRST. Just because Adele has a limited belting range does not make her a bad singer, or any less of a singer than the other 2. Just wanted to clear that up. Range does not equal better. So now, Whoa that Whitney man. Her mids are untouchable. Her tone sets her so high up, like really. Beyonce, technically speaking, shes above Whitney to me. Also her technique allows her to be veryyyy versatile. She can growl a note, make it light as hell, make it heavy as hell, etc. Adele's Eb5 shocked the FUCK outta me. I didnt know she can sustain a belt over D5 honestly. (I dont follow her vocally really)
