On the one hand, it’s cool to see such a pumped-up character, on the other... Let’s be honest - 90% of lords, even non-legendary ones, can be made “one man doomstack” with the help of the Sword of Kane and the Crown of Nemesis.
He needs neither. I've sent him into armies alone, it's disgusting.
Yup, and that's really fun about the game.
One of my playthroughs as Eltharion I had a fire archmage that sort of accidentally became my main lord that playthrough, started by having her follow Eltharion to reinforce and bring spells, decided to send Eltharion to Ulthuan and gave her his army, disbanded some of her units every few turns to save money until she finally was alone.
And the mistwalker traits you get while playing Eltharion adds to the RP even more.
And on the other hand?

@@bigquazz3955 I never use the Crown or the Sword of Khaine(And since anyone can be turned into one using the two, I honestly don't count any strats using them). I mostly reflected on my own gameplay where he racks up way more kills than any other non-mage lord I've played with.

"what are you stuck on????" is probably my most used phrase in WH3, chariots getting stuck on a single infantryman ignoring unit mass entirely, flying units just hovering on one spot even though they have a movement/attack order but can't seem to work out how to path to it even though there's nothing in their way. Mammoths getting stuck on a single infantryman (dude just swat him away)? I don't remember any of these issues in WH2 so what did they change? Cavalry given a retreat order but constantly rubberbanding back into combat because 1 horse got left behind (this was the same in Wh2 but still would be nice if they fixed it).
I would auto resolve a lot fewer battles if this game's pathfinding was more responsive. Especially the units you just pulled out reengaging because a few models were stuck in the blob is frustrating as hell when microing armies with a lot of cavalry.
I honestly think the nemesis crown+ sword of khaine combo is strong enough to make everyone a doomstack
Fair, but Tamurkhan is ridiculously powerful without it. Regen, high damage, high mass, mortis effect. I wouldn't say he's the most powerful Lord as far as stats go, but he is plenty viable for a one man with the right traits. His only real downfall (outside of lack of magic) is his size.

The Nemesis Crown is hilariously good when you have need of a singular powerful army, but honestly I've gotten more use out of sealing it when you've got multiple armies spread out across a large area.
The Replenishment boost in foreign territory allows you to go crazy aggressive and really push on a lot of fronts at once without needing to pause to make sure your armies are fully replenished after difficult battles.

I'd love to see more revised One Man Doomstacks now that the Crown is in the game. Malus and the Dragons should be pretty nice to see get even more kills with the Mortis Engine. Though this is a pretty good showcase for the Nemesis Crown's Mortis Engine Effect
I really like Tamurkhan, he has grown to be one of my favorite lords to play.

@@BlacK40k Nurgle lords like the Unclean Ones are so stinky in the lore that you can smell them from miles away. When close to them, they're so foul you straight up die
I think bubelos might've been better due to its mass being able to pull through units, it also does impact damage like skarbrand
It does UNBELIEVABLE impact damage sometimes. I've wiped half a unit just by bubelos running for the archer line past halbadiers and other things that shouldn't have been in the way!

I can't help but feel the Nemesis crown is going to break all future one man doomstacks.
I'd be very interested in putting the best items onto the worst lord in the game along with the crown and see how it plays out.
Aranessa is probably the weakest melee legendary lord in the game, wonder if you can make her even remotely useful.

Cultist of Khorne had a great play on the dragon and his health bar barely moved.
I ran into him with my Malakai doom stack. Snipe and hidden on malakai, an engineer, an organ gun, and everything else copters and thunderbarge. I couldn't believe how long it took to gun him down hes the tankiest thing I've ever seen.
It would be cool if we could clash ours one man doomstack against each other. Would love to see Skarbrand vs Tammy

The reason i like keeping him on his mount is due to the sheer amount of things it hits with its attacks, also the movespeed increase is awesome and the mass is amazing
in my 3 campaigns I've played with him so far, it's usually just him as an army, it's so easy to get to that point without even trying. There's a blight boil item that makes it even better. Very fun Lord

Hey Legend I have a question! When the new Total War Pharaoh update comes out with all the new factions and new units will you be more open to doing videos on it? (I bought it on sale and have been really enjoying it, but also know all the stuff around the time it came out so was wondering if you'd be more open to giving it some attention after the update finally makes it a full game)
Yeah when I first saw that super mortis enginge effect, I knew that crown will make everything tanky into a one man doomstack, does legit 90% of the dmg every battle it feels like. :D

Great video as always - but noticed that the game audio is a bit louder in this video compared to the usual audio balance in your videos compared to your voice, so maybe lower the game volume a bit or the audio source in OBS that is responsible for the game audio to get closer to the usual balance in your videos :)
I think it would be interesting to run a similar/identical battle with Tamurkhan mounted, you'd be able to make a direct comparison and highlight the advantages/disadvantages.
Same for the sword of Khaine . . . but I personally think that'd be less interesting than "mounted vs. unmounted"
Tamurkhan just saunters on in like "Sup, shorties! How's it hanging?" And just rampages through the Dwarfs with ease.
He doesn’t even need to rampage, all he needs to do is lift his arms.
@Legend, how do you think Tamurkhan stacks up against Malus, Miao Ying, and Zhao Ming? Prior the nemesis crown I'm pretty sure you thought those 3 were the best. And I guess Yuan Bo as well; I don't think you every got a submission for him, but I'd expect him to be similarly good to the other dragons.
I've seen some people saying Tamurkhan is better, but I think much of that is because the former were all tested before the Nemesis Crown, so didn't get its ability. I'm pretty confident that remaking any of those 4 with the Nemesis crown would be better than Tamurkhan.

You can play any nurgle faction and confed Tamurkhan and you can still get it with its special trait max out. You only need to wait a "little" like for all of his special legendary hero.

Tamurkhan wouldn’t, as the Nemesis Crown can only be (im pretty sure) on faction leaders. So it’s be on Epidemius.
Epidemius, however, would have 3 mortis effects, yeah
So, what's the Wades Through Gore trait? I can't find it on either the Defeat Traits or the Character Traits pages on the wiki
I believe (though it's been a while since I've had it myself) that it's the final part of a trait that boosts health overall, topping as the "Wades Through Gore" that gives 20% more hp

the Rock of inevitability is a good enchanted item for 1 mans if they are a demon faction, its like the helm of discord but drops defense and speed, never seen order tide get it.
Where there any grudge settler hammer torpedo gyros in there? They might change how one man doomstacks(OMDs) play out.

The AI killing 600+ of their own units are a lot of grudges against other dwarfs.

I think the enemy army wouldve routed faster on bubelos bc it behaves very similar to skarbrands charge attacks, having a banner of swiftness would make him more unstoppable bc if you just focus the most dangerous arty first and then just stay on the move its hard for any range to really hurt tammy

So unless I'm mistaken here, the 100% ward save did not work. The part where he kept getting staggered, he used the ability, and continuously took small but rapid amounts of damage. I'm wondering if despite the game stating 100% ward save, it's really just sitting at the hard cap of 90%
Tamurkhan is the strongest lord I have every played by far he has no weaknesses imo
I flew 3 flaming ammo Thunderbarges above his head in my Malakai campaign. After watching his hp melt in 10 seconds, Id say he does have at least one particular weakness. Then again, he does share that weakness with every single other unit, lord and hero in the game.

Ward save blocks all types of damage (magical, physical, and missle), as opposed to say physical resistance which only block physical damage. It caps out at 90% (regardless of what the tooltip says). So basically at 90% ward save it blocks 90% of all damage inflicted.

Honestly I think he'd be better on the toad dragon. I saw a one man doomstack of him on a toad dragon, and he could nearly one-shot every unit.
Sure, he gets shot more, but he doesn't get disrupted by heavy missiles, he moves faster, and his attacks hit a wider area. I think its a worthy tradeoff.
