It’s how I sharpen everything! 😉
The simplicity and beauty of that knife tickles my mind.
Thanks for checking out the series!
the half round file tip on sanding the palm was great. I always pick up a valuable nugget of advice from you. Thanks for that!
Glad to help! Thanks for watching
Thanks for posting this!
Thanks for watching, Bryson! 🙏
what a gorgeous blade profile....and that blade finish, chef's kiss
Thanks for checking it out, Paul! ❤️
What an awesome design. 🥰🥰
It’s how I sharpen everything! Thanks for watching.
Love the content! Made a sharpening jig like this a few years ago and I find I use it more than my wicked edge gen 3 also. Only thing I do different is I actually decrease the jig by about a degree when going to the leather. It seems like the leather is soft enough to roll over the cutting edge and can somewhat dull it as opposed to strop it. Yours doesn’t seem to do that, but my belt is getting pretty old I guess! Good work!
If you're rolling over the edge then it's too much pressure on the stropping belt. You want zero pressure and you're using the compound to remove the burr only. Thanks for watching.
I love your videos my friend 👍 I'm going to order one of those sharpers it's much faster than the work sharp. Even though I can get a razor polished edge on them it just takes too long
Yup, you’ll find it way faster. If you get multiple holders (the kit linked in the desc comes with 2) then it’s quite fast to do multiple knives. Thanks for watching, Richard.
Another video full of great tips! How does one clean the buffing wheels? Thanks again Dennis!
You can buy wire brushes and just run them against it. I also just use paper towel to remove it sometimes if there isn’t much. Thanks for watching.
Good Morning 😁
Good morning, my friend! ❤️
I've got a rigid bar looking at that sharpening system
Well I've inspired you in some way at least! Thanks for watching.
Dennis, thank you! Just out of curiosity: is there anything wrong with clear polyurethane on the handle?
It’s not my preferred finish. It just takes awhile and it’s messy to apply and not get it on the blade. Thanks for watching.
What's your favorite brand of sandpaper for finishing handles?
I’m really partial to sandpaper in rolls with adhesive backing for all my sanding. I don’t like having to cut it up into strips. I use DuraGold brand. There are links in my Amazon shop below in the video description. Thanks for watching.
Sweet...but 26 degrees inclusive or per side 13 degrees? Thx
We always discuss sharpening angles per side. I use 26 degrees for each side on a hunter like that. Chef knives would be 12-17 degrees per side. Thanks for watching.
@@TyrellKnifeworks I See. Thank you .
Will it work with the TW 90?
I believe the TW90 has a 1.5” tool arm receiver on the platen? If so, it will work. Thanks for checking it out.
I will do it the reverse way in case and not the knife edge facing you
The belt is going extra slow, there’s no danger here, but whichever way works for you. Thanks for watching.
Just wanted to say as a rookie wanna be, I have thought for the last couple of years that Walter Sorrells hung the moon and all that....well my fine friend, you just may have taken over that position for me, your videos are absolutely awesome, all of them!!!, even when your wife hollers out about going to work😂😂😂!!!::))) just please please keep up the great work!!!::))
Thanks so much! My wife appreciates the attention. 🤣. Thanks for watching.
