I cannot express how much the layer diagrams help my understanding of what is happening. thank you for doing those
I’m happy you find them helpful. Thanks for watching, Lexie!
I agree. The layer diagram is awesome to help see whats happening between steps/how he gets the desired shapes. Absolutely amazing work, as always. Keep doing what you're doing bud. Maybe some day ill be able to afford/purchase one lol
I really appreciate the small diagrams of the pattern being formed in the process. It’s really helpful for understanding what is actually with each step.
I’m glad the graphics are helpful. Thanks for watching!
Those aren't knifes... Those are ART!
Beautiful work 👏
Thanks for taking a look!
Out of all of the forging channels that's I watch. I thank you the most for putting up a visual of the pattern during the forging stages. I know it doesn't seem like much but as a viewer it helps and shows what you're doing through the different stages and I really appreciate that. So thank you so much for continuing doing this for us. :)
A lot of people do appreciate the graphics of the pattern development so I'll keep doing them. Thanks for watching!
I've never seen mosaic plug damascus before. Great result and masterful work as usual. Very cool.
Thanks for checking it out!
Yea ive never seen anyone incorporate a plug of any kind into a blade like this. Absolutely beautiful touch and amazing craftsmanship
@@jacksmith2315 Thank you!
out of all forging projects I seen here, this one by far looks the most interesting, finally something fresh.
Edit; Finally finished watching the video, holy shit the end result looked like cosmos straight out of the pages of 70's comic. Awesome job dude, subscribed!
Thanks for checking it out!
Out of all the forging channels I’ve seen your style and format is my favorite
Thanks so much! I appreciate you watching!
Gorgeous knives! I really appreciate how thoroughly you explain and diagram your work. I also appreciate how they are not all shiney and complicated (in terms of multiple handle parts, pins, etc) to get your attention, just beautifully crafted, original, not in your face, yet stunningly beautiful.
Thanks so much! I appreciate you watching. ❤️
That twisted plug did come out really cool looking.❤
Gorgeous ! Well done
Thanks for taking a look, Ron!
Cool pieces. Thank you
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching
Masterful work!
Thanks for taking a look!
I really like the fact that you tell us your (not really mistakes) "issues" that don't go exactly as planned. Makes me, as an aspiring smith, know that trials are just part of it. Thank you for what you do and explaining it as you are doing it.
Thanks for following the channel, Anthony!

@@TyrellKnifeworks Yessir! Enjoy your weekend!
Woo those are something else Denis, top notch and the twist in the small inlays just adds to the overall effect. Very very cool....somebody is going to be a very fortunate chef.
Thankyou for sharing
Thanks for taking a look! ❤️
Wow! Those are beyond epic! You really let some of your creativity out for this project. We truly did some awesome work on this one.
Thanks again for taking us along!
Thanks so much, Stephen! I appreciate you watching
Wow, just wow ❤️
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
Excellent work, as always, and obviously what you've learned in this process will be applied to future, even more daring excursions into Damascusland.
Yes, absolutely. I’ll be using this process again for sure. Thanks for watching, Bryson
These are probable my favourite pieces that you've made. The stars go so well with the finer, random background, and the wood looks really nice as well, as well as the overall profile of the blades. Very nice work.
Thank you very much!
Some very nice Pattern Welding
Thanks for checking it out!
Great job man! I like the small stars too, spinning galaxies effect!
Yeah, I really love that aspect. Thanks for watching!
Another pair of masterpieces. That will be some lucky chefs who get these.
Thanks for checking them out!
Interesting stuff 🤔. Nicely done 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Got yourself a new subscriber. Loved the graphics at the early stages to show the layers. And the mosaic plug Damascus is tottally new to me and my word is it beautiful
Welcome to the channel! Thanks for checking out this build.
U make it look so easy
Ha, thanks for checking out this build! ❤️
I think that's going to look amazing when it's all said and done I already really like that pattern

Your work is absolutely gorgeous. You are a master at forge welding 😊
Thanks so much, Jessica! I appreciate you taking a look.
Astonishing 🔪👍❤️
Thanks for taking a look, Chris!
Both would look amazing on my kitchen knife wall. 👍❤️🤙
The big one is already sold but the small one will be up for sale next week if a Patreon member doesn’t buy it first. Thanks for watching.
Thumbs-up because of the video pic. Subscribed because of the video itself..... omg so AMAZING!!
Welcome to the channel! Thanks for watching!
Fantastic
Thanks for taking a look!
The plugs came out GREAT denis. Your skill level is amazing sir, as always loved watching & keep the videos coming 👍✌️👌
Thanks so much, Timothy! This one took a while but I like how it came out.
These are fantastic looking knives, almost from a distance there it reminded me of some of the floral and symbol patterns embroidered in silk you sometimes see in Chinese and Japanese fabrics.
Thanks for checking them out, Kris!
very cool knives
Thanks for checking them out!
Love em! ❤ 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Wow!!! The pattern is amazing. The twisted smaller star pattern is my favorite. Great job Dennis. I hope these will be on your table at Blade Show to see in person.
I don’t think these will last until June I’m afraid. Thanks for watching.
Haha. I can dream. 😂
Insane level of Craftsmanship you have every possible tool. Those Knives are looking like a $10k set!
I like your thinking! 😜. Thanks for watching, Jon!
AT 16:49, I need this in my life!!! Love the pattern that you got Dennis! Nicely done, Sir!
I’ll be selling the sanding machines in the spring. That was just a prototype. Thanks for watching!
Frickin' sweet, @@TyrellKnifeworks! I look forward to seeing it out for production.
@@RinaldoFamilyMetalworks If you want to get on the distribution list for early access, please drop me an email at tyrellknifeworks at gmail and I'll put you on it. Thx!
I just sent you an email for the distribution list. Thank you, @@TyrellKnifeworks!
The knives came out great. My favorite part is the smaller plugs and the look of the spin they have. Very mesmerizing.
Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised when I first etched it! Thanks for watching, J!
Very cool look on the smaller ones. If you try this again I would go with the smaller ones and some even smaller with that twist to them. Very cool!
Yeah I did account for how much larger they would get forging them into the knives. I’ll be playing with this more for sure. Thanks for watching.
Very nice good to see you finally got around to making this video they are two sweet little knives . Way different technique than me though as i don't have a lath but loving your style
Thanks for checking out this build, Raymond.
Beautiful knifes and extremely interesting process. First time I see an "inlay" damascus blade. The potential of this technique is huge.
I had inspiration from Josh Prince’s work. Look him up on Instagram and see what other cool stuff he’s done with this process. Thanks for watching.
Just when i think you cant beat previous paterns and you go an smash it i love how you put as much time and effort into the handles as you do the blade itself your pasion shows mste keep them coming 👍
I really love the handles on these two. Thanks for checking them out!
Awesome 👏🏼 👌🏻🤘🏼
Thanks for checking them out!
Another great one. I have to tell you that your graphics in the bottom corner illustrating what you are doing set you apart from all of the other smiths I watch on CZcams. Keep it up please!
I’m glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching!
Out of site. Man you alright💯💯💯😍
Thanks for watching!
this is awesome!! a super cool rendition on some of the stuff joshua prince has been up to, i’ve seen steve schwarzer and david lisch dabble around in this too but i loooove how yours turned out keep it up!
Definitely took some inspiration from Josh on this one. Thanks for watching!
The plug welds look amazing. At first glance I almost saw cherry blossoms instead of the starry night scene. The hand sanding machine is a really cool piece of equipment, I’m sure they have been around for a while but the first time I saw one was on Shurap’s channel. I thought, “damn, that makes so much sense!”
I’ll be selling those sanding machine by the spring. Stay tuned! Thanks fir watching
It’s a very ingenious design. I keep wanting to get into it but other life occurrences keep happening and it gets delayed. Rest assured that when I do I’ll be purchasing one.
Beautiful 😍 🤩 👌
Thank you! Cheers!
amazing !
Thanks for checking it out!
@@TyrellKnifeworks for the next project , cut out a star pattern ;-)
If I wanted an actual star pattern I’d use a 3D print process with powdered steel. 😉
@@TyrellKnifeworks make damast in the shape of the world then, acuratly with all the countries ,... good luck ;-)
انت رجل مبدع يستحق الاعجاب أتمنى لك النجاح
شكرا للمشاهدة!
Bravo ils sont magnifiques !
I think you should help yourself with two pieces of wood on each side of your super manual motorized sanding machine to block your hands when you hold the sanding paper, less effort, more comfort!
sorry for my english, thanks google for the translation!
C'est toujours un plaisir de regarder tes vidéos
There are already hand rests planned for the sanding machine. Stay tuned. Thanks for watching.
WOW!! That turned out BEAUTIFUL!!!! I was expecting it turn out differently tho..... I thought the stars were gonna "smear" into the cosmos background when forged them together.... but it turned out that they stayed perfect circles!!!! You had mentioned something about it I think after your first test etch and I was shocked!!! I guess if you continued hammering it, eventually they would distort and I thought that the cylinders wouldn't weld to the cosmos unless you made them spread out and flatten.... and they aren't held in there just from the tig welding you did right? they are forge welded together all as one piece, huh? AMAZING!!!!
- If the outer edge of the cylinders was that lighter color steel they edge of the cylinders wouldn't have been so defined and on the small, twisted ones they probably would have returned out looking like you gave the knife a 'tiddy twister' LMAO :) They really are amazing works of art tho!! You really have some real talent!! :D
I was very careful not to distort the plugs by hammering or shearing the billet. Thanks for watching!
The twist did make a big difference mext time try twisting all of it thats a interesting pattern nice knives love the wood
Thanks for checking out this build, Bill!
These are by far 2 of the best blade you ever forged. I think you should do a collab with Kyle Royer, you two could make a very interesting blade by combining ideas ^^
Maybe one day! Thanks for watching!
You are simply an old master of your subject. I'm always looking forward to learning something from you. I'd love to come to a workshop with you, there's only 8000km in between 😋❤
Well if you find yourself in California, I do teach classes. 😉. Thanks for watching.
@@TyrellKnifeworks all right, thanks Buddy 😆
I really like your plug pattern. Do you think you could draw those down to be small enough to use as handle pins? Plugs in the blade with matching handle pins would look really cool. Great job!
You’d have to start with much less Damascus but I’m sure it could be done. Thanks for watching.
