I Can’t get my ink to stick in my fake skin unless I basically cut all the way through it with my needle any tips?
There's many different things that could be the issue, it's hard to answer that without more details. It could be the fake skin, your voltage isn't matching your hand speed, or you aren't letting the needle catch before you pull your line.

My q2 doesnt hold cartridge very well they are loose when i put in and turn click, so i switched to the cnc x we
That is so odd, I have not experienced that on my end personally. Any cart I have thrown at it fit snug and stayed in. It can be the cartridges but if it is every single cartridge it could be something with the machine.
I would recommend to reach out to cnc via email or social media to see how they get assist you to get the issue resolved.

Why is it cheaper on amazon ?
I have the impression that the older version is better made without plastic
That is a great observation!
From my current experience I feel like the new updated versions are a bit more smooth and I feel that is because of the new plastic housing update. The older version has screw holding the motor in place where the new one has a plastic housing.
I’ve seen videos where amazon machines aren’t worth it and to just buy a machine worth $500+ but I’m honestly just trying to start practicing on fake skin and possibly on my own skin. I just don’t want to spend $500 on a machine, when I can get supplies and a machine with $500 #DanielYuck
The newer motor looks cheaper.
