It would be cool if we could have ambience/music as an option like in Steam's big picture mode. I always like those atmospheric moods in console dashboards like the GameCube and PlayStation.
@@raidev_ If you're referring to opening up CZcams and playing a video of the GameCube home menu, yeah. But I'm talking about a built-in ambience where it suspends when you leave the OS (either by playing a game or going to desktop) and resumes when you return.
I really love the SFX! Growing up with a PC, I'm used to the UI being... dead quiet. Having quirky sounds play on action makes navigating much more fun!
It does already spicy. Hopefully it will go worldwide soon, however the demand in the current regions is only getting bigger, so its gonna take a long old time.
They really need to give the option of having 'installed games' on the home screen when you load up. It's kind of tedious having to go to library and use the bumpers to tab along to 'installed games'
you can get this on pc you just have to enable steam controller override and press whatever button that opens a menu (in my case xbox button) and it'll show up
I've not seen one person comment on how sluggish this UI is - I came to this video just to check if my Steamdeck was faulty, but it's actually meant to be this laggy? The Switch breezes through the menu effortlessly, why does the SteamDeck struggle so much scrolling through games when the SteamDeck is so much more powerful? I'm really disappointed with it and hope it'll be addressed in software revisions.
I'm 100% sure windows will come to the handheld console market with their take on XBOX OS like these Steam OS. and will be a sad moment for steam deck and aya neo guy. straight up working windows games are so huge moment for Handheld PC gaming. this steam deck release is huge wake up moment for Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo. PSP like Deck will come?? idk XD

Same, feels empty with it missing same as switch, would be so nice to have especially for when its docked.
I prefer no music. However, you can always play music while navigating there

Go in power section power. In It you’ll see. Turn off. And go to desktop mode

Yes. Chrome is available in Gaming Mode, and in Desktop Mode you can use any browser you like.

I doubt that. The current Microsoft target is cloud games, which has bigger potential market since it simply can be playable eveywhere.
