LOL @ the thought of Suffolk mountains! [Fellow Ipswichian here]
Thanks Adam. Some good tips I hadn't considered. Like you, I use my laptop to plan the route, but then use my smartphone as the satnav.
Thank you very much indeed. I recently purchased a Pinnacle Alkose, Element Bolt and a subscription to Komoot. I was struggling on Kamoot route planning, and then I found you. Cheers.
Glad I could help!
A big thanks Adam - A very helpful overview 🙏
Very informative. Thanks for making it so clear how to use Komoot
Very well explained, thank you. I´m really impressed with this app.
Thanks buddy - you've saved me from some head scratching!
Really helpful thank you.
Brilliant video, learnt so much more from watching, thanks.
Thank you. You’re welcome
Great video!!!
Great video..thanks!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you..... you have ironed out my thoughts about this app.. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Excellent tutorial, v helpful thanks
You're welcome!
Great video Adam very informative. Thank you so much. I've almost gave up a couple times on this app because it was hard to understand. One question, do you know how to switch from Km to Mi, Thanks again, look forward to more videos.
Very good thanks
I nav with Komoot on my phone which otherwise would result in battery depletion of around 12.5% per hour. But switch to flight mode and set Komoot to allow the screen to switch off and wake on a voice command, and battery depletion is only around 5% per hour. However, to use Komoot in flight mode you'll need to download the maps. I went for world maps which was half price at the time. But should you miss a turn and get lost, you'll need to cancel flight mode to allow Komoot to replan your route and then go back to flight mode.
Thanks Adam, really helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
On sign up they offered a one-time-offer of £20 for all world maps for the first month - I missed out on that but held off for a year and they repeated their one-time-offer which I took up. I use it to plan and record my routes. Records speed and route, total elapsed time and time in motion. Can add photos and create your own highlights.
It's a one off payment
How do I down the Eurovelo route into the komoots app?
Did you tried Adidas running app or Osmand+?!
I planned a route with Komoot and wished I hadn't. I planned a route set off on it and the indicator showed I was following it. In parts I deviated because it wasn't clear that the section was off road. When I finished the ride. Not only had it not recorded the changes but had not recorded the journey? I don't use the route planner.
Did you tried Osmand+ ?!
What are you using right now?
Cycle way seems to refer to any dirt track not suitable for a road bike.
I can’t stand Komoot I’m really struggling with it always adjusting the route I end up with 30 odd markers to try force it the way I want to go get it still messes it up. I think it’s badly done myself I don’t know why it’s poplar app
yeah, it's not for everyone. Perhaps try another service like Ride with GPS
Same here. I just paid for world wide maps and now I'm trying to create routes, but it want to go the way it wants to, not the way I want to. And if I drag, rather than changing the route, it just makes a detour and then goes right back to the route it wanted to create. It really sucks.

@@GabrieLight I switched to Ride With GPS and it's been great. Right now I am only using the free version where I make the route on my PC and then send it to my Wahoo, but once I start taking longer trips, where I may want to create routes while I'm on the road, I will buy the Basic Package, which allows you to make routes using your phone.
it's a great app, BUT, trying to plan your own routes is painful and it add the roads it wants not the ones you tell it, gone back to pen and paper and just use it to record and map, shame it's so stubborn otherwise a great app and site
Long winded never gets to the point without repetition several times.
Your helmet straps are too loose!
EVERYONE that provides information on this app seems to conveniently overlook the fact that you CANNOT export a GPX File with a "Free Account"!!!!🙄
You can, just click Export to GPS device and it downloads a GPX
@@AdamStiff I'm new to this, but experience the same. As soon as you have created/saved a route and you try to send it to a device, you have to "unlock" the region. This comes with a price.
