Thanks very much... How to create embedded multi-routes ?

Would I be right in saying that to do a full Ironman, you need be at the level of ""Athlete"" fitness wise?? I've a full coming up next year, and that's the level of fitness I'm telling myself I have to be at- an "Athlete".

when I click on the komoot app on my edge it says I am offline.....I can't find any WiFi settings on the edge

You can also use it on your smartphone - which I do. And very good it is too. BUT for proper navigation you need to have the paid for version which is about £50 a year now. That obviously avoids the need for a specific Cycle GPS unit - you pays your money and makes your choice....

Most of the features you promote in this video are paid features. Not free.

I'm very new to komoot. I've just downloaded it and its installed on my Garmin Edge 530, along with a weeks rides for my trip ftom Rome to Calabria, along the Amalfi Coast starting in 10 days time. I work in Saudi Arabia and Komoot doesnt seem to work here, though I've not tried, I've just been informed this is the case. My question is, now that the routes are on my Garmin 530, is that all I need turned on? In other words, is the Garmin 530 operating in "offline maps" mode? Is there more features I'm missing out on by not using my phone screen instead? Also, I've noticed all the routes have also appeared on my watch. (Galaxy Watch 4) I'm assuming the watch wont start unless I activate it or perhaps if I use the phone it could be automatically activated but I'm assuming I can use the Garmin 530 without any interaction with the phone/watch collaboration? Sory if explanation is vague!!

I nav with Komoot on my phone which otherwise would result in battery depletion of around 12.5% per hour. But switch to flight mode and set Komoot to allow the screen to switch off and wake on a voice command, and battery depletion is only around 5% per hour. However, to use Komoot in flight mode you'll need to download the maps. I went for world maps which was half price at the time. But should you miss a turn and get lost, you'll need to cancel flight mode to allow Komoot to replan your route and then go back to flight mode.

I plan on some bike packing come spring U.K. weather, I have a Wahoo Roam and now I want to learn to navigate using the Head unit. I use Strava and Rides with GPS, at £10.99 per month for the Premium (RWGPS) version it isn’t too expensive? I don’t have a computer, but hope to be able to use my iPad? Thanks for the vid. I’ll be watching it again! Least I can do is give you a thumbs up!

Cycle way seems to refer to any dirt track not suitable for a road bike.

Went to ride this route and frankly it was poorly signed with many paths with no direction arrows. One path literally sent me back the last arrow.

Perhaps a very noob question, but I do not get the tools (timestamp 2:44) shown in the right pane. I am a new user exploring the features and trying to get an idea of the service. As of now it‘s unusable to me, can add any waypoints and adjust a route without this tool,pane. Any suggestions?

Great series on your epic journey - the bridle ways are a real pain sometimes but a lot of fast roads are downright dangerous so any other route is preferable. I like the Gravel Way and other railway lines which provide a reliable surface and easy gradients. I once tried to find the one from Marlborough to Swindon but missed the way. I have on my bucket list to do the ends and so far worked on a route up the north coast of Cornwall and Devon, then round Bristol. It's difficult to judge what the gradients are like when looking at street view, so I am training for some hill climbs. Thanks for sharing your experience, the taps was a really useful hint, I didn't know :)
