I've seen someone in the Curious household autonomously comfort a crying child too, it was so sweet I just melted. Can't remember why the kid was crying though
Once Albany Capp insulted Desdemona's friend who was there after school. He poked her and argued with her. Ariel went upstairs to cry, and he ran after her to apologize and comfort her. Felt like such real family dynamics!

The fact that ghosts can't travel over water is amazing, this is like some mythos. Because they crossed the river to the afterlife and can't return or something.
The grumpy headmaster video is very funny. The Pleasants served spoiled food, Brandy Broke served cheap canned food, the Gavigans served plastic decorative fruits.
The ghost one actually makes sense! When you use a mod like Insimenator, there's a ghost menu (I think in death-related stuff). It basically allows you to "walk" like a ghost or other special sims, walk through walls and do something with objects. So alive Sims and ghosts must be programmed in a similar way, that's why neither can float over water. The only difference is appearance and actions, the ghost is limited to "haunt" and feed the Biology plant. This also reminds me of the day I used moveobjects on a swimming sim, worst "mistake" ever. He could perform any action regularly, but all walking animations except the stairs ones were bugged. The sim went floor-swimming everywhere, and popped out of the floor to do the chosen action.
lmao I used to do the floor swimming thing all the time! it looked goofy and it was free Body skill at all times (until the bug that actually just maxed it for free happened at least)
You don't need to do any of that to impress the headmaster, you just need to make sure when he first shows up not to 'greet him' but special greet him, 8 times in a row which is as many as a sims queue can hold and your sim will gain lots of snooze points. If you 'greet him' officially all those special greets drop out and become non available so it has to be after he steps out of the car. Then a decent house and non burnt spaghetti will do. I even got the Newson kids into private school doing that.
I just learned this today! If you need money while in Uni (sims 2) and you have a high body skill set, go to a gym lot and who ever is using the workout equipment click on them and you'll see the option BE PERSON TRAINER, like I ONLY TODAY found out about this!
This ghost tip is really neat! Today while playing I think something new happened but I'm not sure, because my camera was focused elsewhere. I heard the newspaper delivery person got upset just after they delivered paper as it was instantly stolen by my Sim's enemy. When I focused on the delivery person, they were just finishing yelling in the direction of the thief so I'm like 90% sure it's connected and I just thought it's a fun little detail that surprised me after all these years (and numbers of your videos watched :D)
LOL! This was brilliant - really entertaining too! I found out even more stuff about TS2 that I didn't know before such as the Grandmas Comfort soup to heal sickly sims and the water around gravestones. This will certainly come in handy in my game! Thank you! 😀👍
Hey! I'm featured twice in this video! :) Hmm... I think I'll take some tips from my iceberg chart... Ah! If you use testing cheats, you can shift-click on an apartment door to rent an apartment furnished. Great for those who don't want to spend time furnishing the new apartment. And don't forget the juice squeezer. It provides benefits like platinum aspiration, faster homework, random skills etc. And finally, the tip I forget all the time to mention. If you want to choose a new outfit for a townie, you'll have to open a clothing store and then show them a clothing rack (in which interaction you can pick the outfit category). When the sale succeeds, you can pick their new outfit! Once they get ringed up, they'll now wear the outfit you've picked.
Ooooh the apartment one sounds so handy! I absolutely hate when i create apartments and furnish them only to rent it and then cry because all my hard work is gone. These were great thank you for sharing your sims enlightenment.

@@Queerlien Yes, according to The Sims Wiki, this must be done next to the door to the apartment you want to rent and make sure your sim has no actions in queue. But yeah, otherwise furnishing the base lot is meant in case a NPC rents a vacant apartment.
I do that all the time because I HATE decorating - only downside is that the game's decor is usually hideous so you end up making changes anyway. Wish I that cheat could be done on the in-game houses :(. Thats why I never use the Houses in the bin - I only use fully furnished houses I downloaded from MTS.
Using boolprop you can make selectable the mail man and newspaper carrier and use them for your deeds around the house (gardening, babysitting) and their mood and health is always full never goes down ! Also when you place trash like baby bottles, diapers, plates onto water puddles, they disappear without a trace !
Also when you make selectable any NPCs not living in your household and make them lay your fertilizer and plant your seeds it will say it is deducting money but your lots funds don't budge!
True, that's a good option for those who don't want tombstones on their Sim's lot. But if you want to keep the tombstones on the lot, just without ghosts roaming around the entire lot, the water trick comes in handy😊
In The Sims 2: Open for Business- use the Robot Crafting Station to build robots- you can build CleanBots, HydroBots, SentryBots, MunchieBots- try to make video about these they are hillarious in action especially the one that protects the house from burglars or the on that will bring you food, mine brings me pizza all the time, amazing video as always by the way :)
Hey Marq ! I've witnessed another interaction via Reddit. Child sim rubs her feet to the rug for a while and gives a statical electric shock to her sibling. But she should stand on the rug before doing that ☺️ Maybe you knew that but that interaction mesmerized me 🤭
If pools around the graveyard have ladders they can enter the pool and swim and simply trap them if you delete the pool ladders in build/buy mode while the ghosts are swimming which will allow them to still haunt during the day but doing so may break the game so ghosts will remain visible even when the ghosts leave the pool.
I always make sure to serve the headmaster meals of fish that you caught yourself! Always gets me a fat amount of points lol. If I don't want to grind up cooking points + fish for every sim I have, I invite my one very good chef with a bunch of fish in his inventory to that sims' house and have him cook dinner hahaha
Here another trick, I dont know if this happen in the sims 2 pc but it work in playstation2 port. (I dont know if there a fear of "selling cheap painting" basically). When you made a painting and there a fear of selling cheap painting, then you could use other people in your lot to sell it and you still get the money, fear not realized and you can continue. (you could just not sell it and make it a picture tho.)
What really helps is having a bookshelf/chessboard/telescope in the room you're showing off. I usually just enter build mode after showing a room, putting the same bookshelf in a new room, and showing that to the headmaster. Works perfectly.
I actually get into private school with the Dreamers household with Mac and Cheese! idk how that happened lmao I got into private school every time in this save!
If you dont want your child to have homework, when they get out of the bus, they open a paper, that paper can be deleted on buy mode and your cchild doesnt have more homework and its done

Also recently found out that grandma of Tricou family(Downtown) has pointy ears and grandad has typical “vampiric eyebrows”, I would say. Moreover he has relation to other sims of Downtown , but definitely doesn’t look alike. Reminds me of how vampires have sires. Resurrected all of them and made adult. + had mod that allowed nps have memories. Maybe Tricou were meant to be vampire family and vampirism meant to have more features.
You don't even need to go to a restaurant to eat the comfort soup. If your sim has a family aspiration, they can cook it at home by opening the aspiration benefits.
True but this trick applies to Sims without the family aspiration. Ig you could cook it and invite the sick Sims over but owning a restaurant just sounds more fun imo

I've muted all in-game music in the settings and then i add different tracks to my vids when i'm editing. Haven't changed any files or installed such mods😊
