The Bane is hilarious, though. It always lures you in with its awesome stats, and then you fire it and realize how annoying it is, but you think 'this thing is so funny and amusing that I don't mind', and that's when you realize how serious the movement debuff is... That's what makes it literally unusable.
I remember using the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot for so long that when I got a really good shield I noticed that I still bolted away when my shields depleted

One use for the mysterious amulet is if is is worn in the Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary DLC, feeding Butt Stallion after completing the quest My Brittle Pony will cause it to produce the Unicornsplosion.
My lucky ass just had a person join my online game and drop that along with Peak Opener, World Burn, Toothpick, Infection Cleaner, Nirvana, Hot Mama, Antifection, and The Electric Chair.

Exactly. You just gotta learn how to use this grenade mod. I think, it's actually easy, so in my opinion, it really isn't a troll item. Its high explosion radius and leveling damage is pretty strong for bigger groupes of enemies, too...
The thing is it doesn't scale with the OP levels as your level isn't increasing, just the items that you're getting via drops and quest rewards. In Normal Vault Hunter Mode it's amazing. Subsequent playthroughs it starts falling off until, again, you hit the OP levels should they be chosen to be done.

Love the sky rocket, especially since it levels with your character, is great against flying enemies, and has huge aoe. Hardly ever kill myself with it
It's only real issue is the fact that it doesn't scale into UVHM and OP levels. I think the community patch rectifies that, and it's absolutely excellent.

@@andyandersson5497 Thinking about it... some characters are taller than others. I may have been playing as Salvador, whereas you can throw without having to adjust your aim and it blows up just over their heads. With Zero and Kreig you have to adjust the aim slightly down to get same effect
Real talk, when the Commando's infinite movespeed thing was still at large the Bane was actually extremely helpful. The movespeed effect persisted indefinitely until you died, even through zones. Being able to crouch walk faster than a car is nice in wide open maps, but not in confined areas or places where one wrong move could send you off a cliff. Using the Bane would throttle your movespeed quite a bit without killing it entirely, and it just had great stats. It was honestly my gun of choice for a lot of areas in that game on my Commando.
My volume was always low enough that it didn't matter, actually. My ears are pretty sensitive normally so I tend to keep my game volume low, so it wasn't really that bad. Just like I had a screaming psycho midget next to me whenever I was firing it, really.
i once got a golden revolver from Jacobs that gave enemies health but took mine away. unfortunately i found that out too late as i had just run into a group of enemies...
HipsterFoxx I tend to keep things with unique effects. I just wish the stash was bigger or infinitely upgradeable. And I keep all legendaries either for noob characters or just because they are hard to get. Lol.
The Package ; kills you AND your enemies , revives you, kills you again, revives you again then kills you and leaves you with a 1 second window of second wind
That's why you make sure there's distance between you and your target, OPEN with it to soften them up then once the booms stop TGEN you close in to get rid of stragglers.
Trolliest shield: Love Thumper - after you find all the ECHO recorders in piles of sh*te and open the box with the guy's fistprint after killing Henry the stalker
I just got the bane a few days ago and thought it was great looking at the stats. Then I heard the sound it made when shooting and thought it was funny for like 5 seconds and then I noticed the slowass movement it gave me and I didn't touch it again
In a sense, the Fibber is trolly, with its inaccurate Stat card and all. Most of the variants aren't that great either. Only really a useful weapon in one form, which makes you shoot the ground and properly aim the ricocheted bullets at a precise angle to hit targets. Quite trolly indeed.
I actually quite enjoy the sky rocket. I've grown used to being able to judge the way it Flys it and I use it indoors so the explosion happens fairly close to enemies faces

Mix the WTF with the legendary MIRV from boom bewm and it drops 9-12 shocks so it basically makes the IED a grenade, I specifically made a build called Sudoku with axton for it
honestly, the rocket grenade is good for 2 things, open arenas, and Krieg deaths. mostly because it can't kill you when you're already dead, and there's less chance of it flying back into your face when you're outside.
So in the claptrap dlc in the pre sequel, killed the final boss (the first time) and the legendary was the whiskey tango foxtrot. I will never forgive this.
The worst part of the Bane is that the noise plays even when you have the game's sounds set to 0. I was expecting a downside, and the slow felt like a fair enough downside, but then I pulled the trigger, and I never used that shit again
the sky rocket is an excellent grenade ! My Krieg went with it all the way to OP8 . It´s about skill and how you send it, you can compensate the arc and actually somewhat control the trajectory. Sure it´s not the best grenade by far, but it´s extremely strong.
Who remembers that moralists blue Hyperion sniper rifle which every time you hit somebody or reload tells you something "you know that guy had a family" or "yeah you keep wasting ammo while there are children on Pandora who can't afford them"?
I forgot the name but I got a cool shield when I was a noob and it looked pretty good until I used it. I thought my game was bugged because my shield just wouldn't recharge even out of combat. Turns out the recharge delay was 212 seconds... I've been careful since 😂

Funny story about the Bane. We once played with a friend of ours who was a newcomer. Took him with us to the Bane mission and let him have the Bane. Told him this was a special mission and that this gun was awesome. What happened next was him realizing that he was walking extremely slow but didn't realize that the gun caused it.
My GF makes me boot up BL2 every few months and run around with a Bane for a while. She's reminded of the first time I encountered it, and the shock, horror, confusion, and realization that it's not a bad weapon actually, if you can get past the annoying parts.
The Fabled Tortoise makes you walk even slower, that mixed with The Bane is the only way that you can fully experience this game the way it was intended
No mention of the Orphan Maker from Captain Scarlett? The kickback from the thing damages you as well and, if you are in the middle of a big fight, you DO NOT want the Orphan Maker getting your back.
If your badass ranks are high enough you can counteract the kickback from the orphan maker I had a siren when the game first came out that had a glitch happen called slag licked what's my badass ranks to boost up to like 3 .4 million no damage
idk if this has been patched, but if you swap weapons fast enough, you can transfer the Bane's screaming to the Infinity pistol. Infinite screaming. Though, you have to do this each time you wish to transfer the screaming.

I clicked on this fully expecting the bane to be #1 and I was not disappointed, I actually enjoy using it too lmao, normal mode the damage output is worth it, especially as gauge
I remember experimenting with the Bane to see if I could counteract the slowness factor. Salvador has some skills to boost movement while Gunzerking and that helped.
My brother put some Dragon Keep Easter eggs in his D&D game, one of which is the Crit. It's a crossbow that crits when I roll 19 or 20, but flies out of my hands on 1 or 2. I've used it in combat 3x, and each time I it's flown out of my hands.
The morning star could be one of the honorable mentions because it does talk back to you. But even worse is that theres a glitch with it that will dramatically increase your crit damage but i noticed that while that glich is happening it talkes to you even though you have a different gun out.
The gunerang was really annoying because if you didn’t hit an enemy it came right back in face, and another is that Hyperion sniper that criticizes you as you use it.
Hey, if you aim slightly downward and jump with it the Contraband Skyrocket is one of the most powerful grenade mods in the game. Combined with that ridiculose range and it's not to be underestimated. It takes a bit of practice to start, but once you do it's basically a free kill. Edit: Mine scaled when I bought the pre-order for 2. I haven't tested it on The Handsome Collection but so far it's scaling properly.

With the morningstar glitch it isnt useless at all. But it will make you deaf.

Does anyone find that each one has a different arc trajectory when thrown (discovered thru multiple character playthroughs)?

The Love Thumper isn't a troll item, it's just niche, it does wonders on Melee Builds, it especially does wonders on Kriege.

I used Moxxi Xp relic the entire game, I like it. More experience is always better.
In normal or TVHM you could probably get away with it. But in UVHM and OP levels you REALLY need a real relic that actually boosts your build.
The fibber if you don't know what to look out for. Hell, even the nasty surprise cause the grenades can be pretty random.

Now you need the amulet in dlc 5. You get the unicorn shotgun with that if you wear it and feed butt stallion

The worst part of the Bane is that the noise plays even when you have the game's sounds set to 0.
I was expecting a downside, and the slow felt like a fair enough downside, but then I pulled the trigger, and I never used that shit again
I actually love the wisky tango foxtrot because it goes so well with maya's skill set and provides w lot more dps to bosses that use minions. A L O T

the sky rocket is an excellent grenade ! My Krieg went with it all the way to OP8 . It´s about skill and how you send it, you can compensate the arc and actually somewhat control the trajectory. Sure it´s not the best grenade by far, but it´s extremely strong.

I forgot the name but I got a cool shield when I was a noob and it looked pretty good until I used it. I thought my game was bugged because my shield just wouldn't recharge even out of combat. Turns out the recharge delay was 212 seconds... I've been careful since 😂

I had the Bane when I was young, I thought my TV broke when I used it and I started moving really slow and was wondering what the heck was going on.
Skyrocket was good all you had to do was throw it at the ground and jumped over it as it comes back to you great for hit-and-run tactics

Funny story about the Bane. We once played with a friend of ours who was a newcomer. Took him with us to the Bane mission and let him have the Bane. Told him this was a special mission and that this gun was awesome. What happened next was him realizing that he was walking extremely slow but didn't realize that the gun caused it.

My GF makes me boot up BL2 every few months and run around with a Bane for a while. She's reminded of the first time I encountered it, and the shock, horror, confusion, and realization that it's not a bad weapon actually, if you can get past the annoying parts.

No mention of the Orphan Maker from Captain Scarlett? The kickback from the thing damages you as well and, if you are in the middle of a big fight, you DO NOT want the Orphan Maker getting your back.
If your badass ranks are high enough you can counteract the kickback from the orphan maker I had a siren when the game first came out that had a glitch happen called slag licked what's my badass ranks to boost up to like 3 .4 million no damage

idk if this has been patched, but if you swap weapons fast enough, you can transfer the Bane's screaming to the Infinity pistol. Infinite screaming. Though, you have to do this each time you wish to transfer the screaming.

I clicked on this fully expecting the bane to be #1 and I was not disappointed, I actually enjoy using it too lmao, normal mode the damage output is worth it, especially as gauge

I remember experimenting with the Bane to see if I could counteract the slowness factor. Salvador has some skills to boost movement while Gunzerking and that helped.

My brother put some Dragon Keep Easter eggs in his D&D game, one of which is the Crit. It's a crossbow that crits when I roll 19 or 20, but flies out of my hands on 1 or 2.
I've used it in combat 3x, and each time I it's flown out of my hands.

you forgot how death trap is quite literally, the biggest troll in the game. dude walks through walls and wonders "why am i not hitting anything"
The morning star could be one of the honorable mentions because it does talk back to you. But even worse is that theres a glitch with it that will dramatically increase your crit damage but i noticed that while that glich is happening it talkes to you even though you have a different gun out.

The bane was incredible. I played around with that thing for more then an hour before my ears couldn't take it anymore. RELOADING!!!! AYAYAYAYAYAY!!!

The gunerang was really annoying because if you didn’t hit an enemy it came right back in face, and another is that Hyperion sniper that criticizes you as you use it.
Hey, if you aim slightly downward and jump with it the Contraband Skyrocket is one of the most powerful grenade mods in the game. Combined with that ridiculose range and it's not to be underestimated. It takes a bit of practice to start, but once you do it's basically a free kill.
Edit: Mine scaled when I bought the pre-order for 2. I haven't tested it on The Handsome Collection but so far it's scaling properly.
Yup played with gaige to level 62 and have never changed it to another grenade
