It’s wild watching the DNA from before VS now. The DNA now is easily one of my favorite guns in the game

Double legendary cosmetic drops and no other legendary are what's the worse.

These have no reason to continue to drop after you've unlocked them, all they do is cramp up the lootpool for no reason.
My first time going into Mayhem 10 I got 2 of the same cosmetic and nothing else after killing Graveward. I didn’t know that could happen
Malak's Bane dropping every single goddamn time from Graveward is where the worst is at.
Been saying this since day one. Nobody cares about the cosmetics in the first place, but they DEFINITELY shouldn't continue dropping after they've been acquired

Arms race is the official judge. I seems to do well with Tediores, Maliwan Blasters and Dahl rifles in AR
TK's Wave was my first ever legendary drop. Got it from Holy DumpTruck.
Needless to say I was disappointed
I had tk wave in Arms Race. It was pretty great. Arms Race makes a lot of subpar legendaries pretty good.
and now its stronger than a hellwalker. how the turns have tabled. ofc hellwalker is still better because its still more reliable but tks wave is now high tier shotgun
I can't tell if it is my own confirmation bias or just the drop weights but the Malak's Bane feels like the most common world drop.

Hell, for me, it's the god damned Back Ham. Seriously, I can get a Back Ham to appear without ever trying for it. Why farm Troy for it when it drops almost anywhere as an almost assured drop?
I have gotten more Malok's Banes while farming for the Face-Puncher than actual Face-Punchers. So yeah, high drop rate.

Pretty much like it was in every other Borderlands game. When was the last time you used a Stalker, Devastator or a Logans Gun (except for ammo regen) in BL2?

@@BoothTX Power Creep isn't the issue. There's a bunch of Base game, DLC and Takedown weapons that shred. It's not like Arms Race gear is best in every category... but they are very good.

This is my own personal opinion: Honestly, I feel like it's because they took too much time buffing specific legendaries instead of buffing entire weapon categories to make them viable for M10 (at purple rarity and above). Like what are legendaries supposed to be? Red text weapons that are supposed to be a moderate amount better than their purple counterparts, in unique and interesting ways. They succeeded at that in most cases, but they overdid it so that legendaries are better by such a wide margin that purples are unusable at end-game.
Think about it, when was the last time you saw an endgame build that had purple rarity weapons (with some limited exceptions, some of which are in the form of homing mirv tediores and high pellet Jakobs shotties for Fl4k)? In all the previous games, purples were meant to be outshone by their legendary counterparts, sure, but they were still viable, and in some cases *really good* at endgame. The Lyuda in BL2 was obviously the king of Vladof snipers, but purple Droogs were still absolutely amazing at endgame.
But look at endgame now, when was the last time anyone was able to use a purple Asp or Diamondback at M10 all that reliably (and those don't even have a decent legendary alternative, unlike Jakobs Muckamucks and Epic rarity Vladof snipers). Imo at least 90% of purple weapons should at least be viable in the majority of cases, at endgame, and in fact really good if they have good parts, and not just because a ridiculously powerful mechanic like Ties That Bind was exploited. And legendaries should absolutely still be even better, but by just an extra step, not to the extent that you could very well argue it is in 3 at M10/M11
I swear to god, Malik’s Bane is my Gub. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve had that damn thing drop.
At least the gub is usable depending on the build and character you're playing as, the malak's bane is just unusably bad.
Lol anytime I play bl3 I see on average 12-10 malik's a run. It like "ah a legendary, nope just a malik".

It's fun to use outside of Mayhem mode. The worst thing about the boring gun is it also gives you self damage if the blades exploded near you.

If you use a transformer and a good build on FL4K, you can basically become immortal

The Quadomizer was my first ever legendary from my first Rampager kill
Also the Malak's bane's other special ability is that it drops as every other legendary you get on your merry travels

Huh, I didn't expect the 9-Volt and AAA to show up. I've always seen them (especially the AAA) as good shield shredders or to deal with guardians (I've had some good trial runs using the 9-Volt).
When you say a legendary isn't even good in Arms Race, that pretty much sums it up.
that weapon needs to either be buffed or demoted to gray.
Out of all the Pistols I think the Love Drill needs a buff the most. It only drops from the final boss of DLC and its basically just a worse Unforgiven.
The AAA carried me through the whole tvhm playthrough
So much hate for Baby Maker!! I had a level 32 Baby maker that spawned the 4 pistols, but they flew and honed in on targets. It seriously carried me from 32 to end game.. then I found a level 42 Baby Maker that only spawned 4 crappy guns.... so I get it.
Who was Malak and why is his bane so non-threatening. Malak's bane is like the bane of delicious vanilla pudding.
I used to wreck with the AAA as Amara when the game first came out... but it definitely feels lack luster now.
It was really good back in the days. The shocking 9 Volt was also really nice.

Honorable mentions on the shields the black hole is bad like really bad but I'd like to say with action skill start it dose damage/stagger the guardian takedown guardians
I would have to disagree about the Bear Trooper. It helps immensely with my Iron Bear build, making sure IB can stay up even longer than normal
Same for me, it's great for full iron bear build.

@@AshenHollow7 because it drops from one of the dragons in the mother of grogans now. I was farming for easy xp last night and got 4. It was removed from rampager entirely.

The Malaks Bane was my first legendary in Borderlands 3 and I remember thinking immediately after testing “Is this what legendarios in BL3 are like?” I’m glad I’ve gotten many more since then cause every single other legendary is loads better

I've had about 40-50 so far. So yes. Almost always get one dropped
Me and my friend usually call the Woodblocker, "The Cockblock" because literally most of the other weapons could've dropped in it's place.
"Oh, no I wasn't farming Graveward for potential a 300/90 Lob in Radiation... I clearly wanted this wooden crapstick!"
i thought that was the reason why it was called the woodblocker, just to play on that very thing and to suck for that very reason.
I use the Woodblocker for Zanes' clone. I never use it myself though.
I am so happy your doing some top 10s again! Maybe Top 10 bosses in the franchise or just BL3 then a top t0 worst aswell? I would love to hear your opinions on a variety of the fights in BL3.
I’ve been saying since the game came out that the Pheonix tears needs to be changed. A free second wind with a long cool down makes a great option to me.

Same with the Messy Breakup from GenIVIV, why move it from the most logical enemy to some rando that doesn't even have a "break up" of any sort. Hell, you could argue for it dropping from Troy even.

I actually love the Bear Trooper CM for Moze. I’ve tried every major build for Moze and my favorite is still just hopping into IB and shredding everything I come across. Though to be fair the BTCM I got was a much better roll than the one K6 is showing off, it’s +3 stainless bear / +2 explosive punctuation with weapon/manufacturer damage buffs
There's much better options for keeping Iron Bear going though.

The malak's bane worst property is that it drops too often.
Got the Malak's Bane once when I was still levelling my first character to 50 (on Mayhem 1), picked it up and for about 20 seconds the shotgun mode felt glorious. Then it ran out of ammo.
Great list! I like the Tankman Shield Sniper though. It is super niche but it's fun with the stacks and moze
i reeeeeally want them to buff the hellfire. for only dropping in tvhm, it really should be better. i got an x2, next 2 mags incendiary one, so on the wall it goes until a (hopefully) buff
it has so much potential for moze being one of the few smg's that deal splash dmg. I'd love a buff in dmg, mag size and huge buff in fire rate, like how the hellfire used to be in Borderlands 1
Why don’t they make the EMP instantly remove mob enemy shields and then do a massive amount of damage to boss shields
As someone who uses the Bear Trooper on Moze, I'd be interested in knowing what your better alternatives are to it, as I've found that it's been able to make Iron Bear work pretty well for me on Mayhem 11 bossing with my current build.

When I saw this my first thought was Bearcat followed closely by Malaks Bane.

Malak's Bane seems to be the bane of my existance whenever I'm playing BL3. This gun despite being a rare drop in a loot of hard to kill named enemy, it seems to be pooping out every time I try to farm anything. Trying to get Monarch from Kill-a-Vold - Malak's Bane. Trying to get Sleeping Gigant from One Punch - Malak's Bane. Trying to get Spy from Arms Race - Malak's Bane. Checking a vending machine - MALAK'S BANE!!!

I swear that is the purpose of the damn gun, is to be irritating AF. So much worse than the Bane from BL2 as that was at least a funny meme gun from an optional quest.

I actually never heard of most of these but the Malak's Bane sniper I have actually seen drop quite a lot actually. I farm Graveward mostly and I think between the Lob and Bane, I think I see the Bane drop more from the Graveward boss. Besides not knowing half or more of these legendaries I did not even know that "Phoenix" named Rakk existed at all in the game till now.

I'm holding onto hope for some love for the Unending Magnificent. On paper it's great. On paper. Even Moze can't put it to work.
Phoenix tears should do a massive fire nova and make you invulnerable for like 20 seconds
If they didn't add mayhem leveled items and kept mayhem mode truly 100% optional with the only incentive being a challenge. This game wouldn't have soo many useless items. any challenge based end game content especially for a borderlands game, should have no incentive other than making the game harder. Imagine if you could play on whatever mayhem you wanted to. Mayhem mode 2.0 ruined this game in my mind although I still play it strictly on mayhem 10/11.
Also random note with mayhem mode. Annoints should be guaranteed on legendary items no matter what mayhem level since they made weapon parts worthless to learn, they are a decent substitute
The mayhem exclusive weapons should have been the point of mayhem; not this weird op level nonsense that's there right out the gate. Also wtf is even the point of TVHM anymore?

I just got into bl3 and one of my favorite legendaries to level with has been the shotgun that creates a chain lightning between enemies. Can’t remember the name but it’s been a really good weapon for early leveling

I did not expect to see the Magnificent as a mention. I loaded back into the game sfter months a few days ago and was tearing stuff up with it. Playing as Moze probably helped anlot.
Was looking for a way to save up space in the bank and this is huge. Can get rid of so many legendaries. Thanks man. I had a feeling these guns suck but yeah they do.
I agree with every gun on this list besides the ripper, with it's high fire rate it is good for early/ mid game but of course late game it drops off hard as if it hit the grand canyon
Agree with most of these especially the Bearcat and the Malak's Bane. I see those so often its insane. I only recently ever even picked one up and its because I was in Arm's Race. I still did not end up using it even there.

The Hand of Glory wasn’t all that back for a first time play though (a couple weeks ago for me), but then I found a Gatlin’n Clipper at the same level that did 3x the damage :/
I literally just picked up Moze's class mod Banging Bear Trapper. But I'm still only level 48 and for now its super good.
I managed to use a level 42 Garcia on mayhem 8, at level 54, and it was still pretty good. Was using Flak, with the blue and green trees mostly maxed out

Yep very useful thanks. The funny thing is I had bearcat drop they other day and as soon as I saw it I was oh come really expecting it to be automatically bad because of how bad it was in bl2. And yep I tried it and then immediately dropped it.
Bear Trooper isn't bad, it helps Iron Bear stay out longer. Without BT, Iron Bear usually lasts about 15-20 seconds. With Bear Trooper, I can probably run through the first half of Athena and still have some duration left

Might be late, but Slaughter Shaft in M10 with Butt Stallion Milk drops stupid legendaries. You can usually brute force a few Deathlesses that way (looking for Atom Balm variant). Alternatively, go Moze/Amara co-op and combine Grasp and Railgun to kill it really quickly.
I loved the garcia when you were able to just empty the whole mag in like 2 seconds.
I really hope gearbox watch k6’s vids! Would love to see all of these get some TLC!

This video seems like a, " hey Gearbox, these are the stuff you need to buff ",video. Although I don't quite agree with the scream of terror shield. It's actually quite fun to use with the trainer mod and Flak's purple tree. If the shield is anointed, it can be a bit op, especially with shield effect on action skill activation. Plus the enemies confused no longer have green health bars.

5 minutes after watching this video , i went in game and a quadramizer dropped for me. . .it was on the way to rescue hammerlock during the story mission on eden. right before meeting Crunk Bunny : All Grown Up for the first time.
The Phoenix Artifact is even more pointless when you get Zane’s Salvation kill skill, which regenerates your health quickly.
Bearcat would be great with a 50% damage buff a projectile speed buff and a small spread

Honestly surprised the AMSD didn't get a dishonorable mention. That legendary sniper is still trash and can also world-drop, just like the Malak's Bane.

That thing drops 90% of the time in my game. No joke. 9-10 boss farms I will get that gun. And usually a garagantuan pistol or however its spelled.
Early baby make is just vary entertaining to use and at the vary lease in base game pretty good at damaging bosses. So in true Tedeor fashion. Mag dumbing

If I wanted a a gun that can act like a shotgun it would not be a Malak's Bane. The Faisor and Sickle are much better at pretending to be shotguns. Shoot, they're better at being a shotgun than some of the actual shotguns.
I'd like to see a video of what you would never pick up, even in arms race. I've encountered a few that i tried out only to die because my expectations were too high.
the AAA and 9- volt and even the malak's bane. I like the malak's bane, but then again I think I have found that or the woodblocker as my legendery snipers or the beam chargers and I hate charging for a sniper.
I wish that the companion pistol was better, especially on higher difficulties or had a better effect than just being a fire only Jakobs elemental gun.

The first legendary I ever got was a grenade mod called tiny tinas hippity hopper and it was absolutely op. When I came up to fighting gigamind I literally threw 1 grenade and he died, although I was using a splash damage moze build at the time. It did an insane amount of damage and one day I hope to find another one
