Very nice tour. So many greats. It's nice to have them remembered. Thanks for taking us! Oh and, yes, I'm sure several roam about.
Why would they?
This was absolutely beautiful and amazingly done.
Thank You 🙏
£500 Reward, an Australian film released in 1918, was Renée Adorée's film debut. Her career was abruptly halted when she was afflicted with tuberculosis in 1930. Three years later, the disease would take her life at the young age of 35. Tony, thanks for another great video!
Beautiful
Mausoleum’s seem so temporary to me. That doesn’t mean I don’t love the tour! Thanks for another great video😊
Crypt door you’re videos are amazing fantastic and awesome too watch I love 💕 paranormal and ghosts and haunted places and paranormal ghosts and haunted places I love 💕 crypt door please stay safe and be careful too 5:49pm
Like your videos but I think they would be better if you could lay down your narration audio track
in post. That would cut out the very annoying noises that come from you handling and moving the camera.
Or maybe an external lapel microphone that would only pick up your voice as you narrate on the fly.
Thanks for the content.
Just found your channel , in Australia we don’t really have these mausoleums so it’s a novelty to see the beautiful marble architecture, I’ll be waiting for your next vlog with anticipation and going through your back catalogue with enjoyment
Welcome aboard and thank you!
Thanks for all the walks !
That was messed up with Bugsy having a bullet left at his grave, when he was murdered by a hail of bullets! Good video!
The area where I grew up is 45 miles from where Judy Garland was born.
Thank you for sharing🪦
Thank you Tony. Enjoy your channel very much
Thank you kindly
BLESS YOU PRECIOUS JUDY !!❤
Very interesting tour!! Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it
This would be Really interesting if Judy wrote herself a note and signed it!!😮
Great walking tour, thank you very much Tony. I really like those old style name plates on the crypt covers. Bugsey Siegel's crypt was interesting, so was Clifton Webb's.
I have also heard stories about his ghost 👻 roaming that corridor. I am sure he is not alone. It would be interesting, if a person could be allowed to spend the night 🌙 there, with EVP equipment, to see what they would find. Both mausoleums are supercool, this is one of your best videos, thank you very much again Tony. 😊
Glad you like them!
@cryptdoor I very much do, thank you very much for getting back to me. I may not always watch them when they first come out, but I will watch them, eventually. It depends on how busy I am.
Have a great day.
Great vlog, you found a lot of actors who are new to me, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very good video. Always wanted to go there. Thank you for sharing this!
Nice tour.
Glad you enjoyed it
As usual, great videography research and narration
Another home run video. Thanks for bringing this to us
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank You!
The front panel of Clifton Webb's crypt used to be loose; we used to always "tip" the panel when we visited.
Oh wow… looks like it’s been fixed although I didn’t look super super close
Great video
Thanks!
I love Clifton Webb.
Thank you for the tour. I like the lipstick stains, its like a testament to Benny's enduring legacy. How many more years will the ladies be wanting to kiss his stones in the future?
Cremation niches are always so cool, Dick Dale's is the best I've seen yet.
Rudolph Valentino has more of the same on his.
I bet he does!😍
Very beautiful place.❤
It is true about Clifton Webb ghost.
That what I read..
My sister and I visited the mausoleum and when we got to Bugsy Seigel's crypt, the lights started flickering. The hair on my arms and neck stood up! I am enjoying your tour through Hollywood Forever. I just found your vlog and subscribed to it!
Yeah, if you noticed in that video, there were some flickering lights too. Thank you for your support. Much appreciated.
Doubt Bugsy was too surprised
If you want to see a superlative performance, watch Judy Garland in "Judgement at Nuremberg".
Nice video great one mate 🎉🎉🎉🎉from uk🎉🎉
Thanks 👍. Much appreciated!
Charlie Chaplin, Jr's paternal grandmother, Hannah Chaplin, (Charlie Sr's mother) is also buried at HFC. She is located in the eastern part of the cemetery, east of Clark Lake, behind the Douras Family mausoleum (where Marion Davies is interred).
I guess she was actually moved there in 2017.
I was at Hollywood forever 2yrs ago I saw some celebrity graves including Judy garland
Judy had such a hard life. I honestly feel bad for her. She was great actress. Francis you were a great actress, but I'm sorry that you made the decision that you did. That's what Hollywood does to its stars.
Who is Francis didn't see her in the video
Do not forget her multitude of movies with mickey rooney before.
Yeah there were other people actually inside of there so I really wasn’t trying to be too loud or talk too much.
First time watching love the video so far❤
Thank you!
I didn't know Bugsy and the others were jewish I thought members of The Family were Italian with Americanized names.
I’ve heard about Clifton Webb haunting the mausoleum - I just wonder why he would choose to haunt there. I guess we’ll never know! Well done with respect - thank you!!
Thank You! 😊
From what I know, he haunts there because he never got over the death of his mother who he's buried next to.
@@trinadolbeare1585 was she buried there before or after he died? Does he not know she’s there with him?
Thank you for the info Trina. It’s sad to think that he’s still mourning her in the afterlife.
She passed 6 years before him. He was an only child, never married nor had any children.
Moe Greene in The Godfather (played by Alex Rocco) was based on Bugsy Siegel
👍👍👍
Glad she's home at rest
She was nearer her actual home in her original resting place, not here.
@@californian1459 well whatever
@@californian1459 I actually lived about an hour from there and routinely visited Joan Crawford Preston Sturges and other's
Correction on George D. Wallace's info; his Rocketman costume didnt inspire Disney's "The Rocketeer" costume, worn by Billy Campbell, BUT inspired graphic designer, comic book creator, (the late) Dave Stevens, to create "The Rocketeer" comic back in 1982.
Thanks for the info👍
@@CryptDoor YVW.
Before she was moved to California, Judy Garland was in a rather non special mausoleum crypt at the Ferncliff Mausoleum in New York. Nothing special there. I guess Liza Minelli was behind having her moved and her crypt upgraded to become a fan mecca.
It was her daughter Lorna and son Joey who had her moved there. They both will be buried next to her. Not sure if Liza is also going to be interned there.
Anything's possible.
Next time you are in Hollywood forever can you film Paul Reubens spot
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, so I don’t get to Hollywood Forever all the time. But next time I go, yes definitely
That Mausoleum would be Great to Visit at Night 👥👤🌙
You wouldn't have wanted to call him "bugsy" to his face. That is slang for "nuts". He had the reputation of being a little crazy.
Great walk amongst the famous and infamous , thank you for taking me along. There are no such things/beings as ghosts, they simply do not exist. Clifton Webb died and he does not haunt this place or any other. Billions of people have died/passed away whatever, there has never been even one proven substantiated fact of their existence, not one!!🙃🙂🙃
But what about Jesus? He died for our sins.
@@fredsmith6401 What mausoleum/place/area did Jesus haunt? His resurrection is based on "FAITH" there is no proof. 😀😀😀
@@fredsmith6401 "He died for our sins."
That's why I sin every chance I get else he died for nothing.
@@tomtransport LOL, chill dude. I was being sarcastic.
Mildred Harris, Charlie Chaplin's 1st wife is also in the Abbey of The Psalms.
Do you see all these tombs? These are us, everybody of us... in future. So smile and starve to be happy... and greetings from Romania.
One curiosity: who pays for the mausoleum maintenance?
Can’t speak for all cemeteries, but….. Perpetual or endowment care
A cemetery will likely charge a maintenance fee to cover upkeep of the graves and grounds. This fee, often 5% to 15% of the plot price, will be added into the cost of the grave or entombment space, though a few cemeteries will bill the family annually instead. I know for sure in South San Francisco by me there’s a Cemetery that charges the fee, but put it into a savings account where it gains interest. I would assume that’s the same. They probably put it somewhere where it makes money.
I'm new to your Channel. I know about Ms. Judy Garland being interred here in Hollywood Forever, She was buried in New York in 1969.I'm very Curious are there Any Black Celebrities that are buried here as well. And if they are, Can you put it in your next Video.Once, I read the Biography of Ms. Hattie McDaniel wanted to be Buried in Hollywood Forever, In 1952 But couldn't because she was Black, The Owner at that time, REFUSED For her be Buried there. I believe there is a plat of some kind. It's Just a Shame, That Her Last Wishes were not carried out, As she would have Wanted. Rip Always 🙏💙🙏❤️💙🙏❤️💙
Yes, I saw her monument they had there.
I think I’ve posted it, but let me try to find it again
@@CryptDoor Thank You Cryptdoor for your Excellent Video, AWESOME 👍😎👍😎👍😎👍😎👍😎👍😎👍😎
Hattie McDaniel is in Angelus Rosedale, but there's a cenotaph in Hollywood Forever for her. Have you tried to get with Arthur Dark from Hollywood Graveyard?
@cynthiathomas6690 not sure how to get a hold of him.
This year. Edmund Gwenn will be barried here
Yes, he's being moved from the Chapel of the Pines. Helen Chandler is already in the mausoleum. She was also at the Chapel of the Pines until she was moved.
Do you find pee wee Herman grave?
No
Did someone leave Judy a bottle of vodka under the guest book? She won't be needing it, take it. Judy fell from grace with the wokies. She did the blackface scene in "Babes In Arms" I believe.
I do believe that was a bottle of hand sanitizer.
Yeah it was and not vodka. lol
Trumpies
I did hear about, Cenotaph about Ms. Hattie McDaniel. I just needed to know, If there are Any Black Celebrities buried in Hollywood Forever, I have never heard of One. And that's a PROBLEM 😮
I think it’s someone just trying to have their 15 minutes of fame.. Ghosts!! Really?
That’s what I read.
HFC is historically known to be haunted. Clifton Webb's apparition has been countless times by not only tourists but the current owner of HFC, Tyler Cassity, maintenance staff, and even a film crew in the early 90s, which they also caught on camera. Valentino's ghost has been seen walking the grounds then passing through the south wall into Paramount Studios, which was the studios he was under contract with. And the area he has been seen going into was where they filmed the outside desert scenes of "The Shiek." Some fool claimed to have seen Johnny Ramone's spirit but that was pure bogus since he's not even there yet.
@@terrymyers699 Johnny Ramone died of cancer in 2004 I think. There is a statue of him in Hollywood Forever Cemetery.Clifton Webb haunts his house as well, hopefully it’s still there.
@@julietrask7497 yes, Johnny's memorial is at the south end of Clark Lake, next to the road. But Johnny isnt inurned there yet. Linda, his wife, has his cremains and when she passes theyll mix both of their cremains together then inurn them in the monument. And youre correct, Clifton's spirit has been felt and seen at his former home. Im not sure also if its still around. He gets around in the afterlife apparently.
Apparently you don't know what you're talking about Steve. Nor have you been to HFC.
