Let's give props for Super Cat and his contribution to this song's fame. I remember hearing Fly for the first time and thinking, "How in the hell did the reggae artist who sang Don Dada get on this track? But it works!"
My mom dedicated this song and said it reminded her of me and our relationship and how much a mother and sons bond is and how much im stuck in the 80s and 90s music area. Can't be replaced or duplicated no mater how hard anyone tries i love you mom!
Born in 93, when I listen to masterpieces like this, I’m instantly transported back to the 90’s and flooded with empathy and memories of my childhood, and of all the people who are no longer here with me at this time. What a rush
Lol, what are you talking about, you where just a toddler im the 90s. You had to be born in the mid 80s to really experience the 90s that's when we hit puberty and we all had the best time of our lives.
@@larevodelasconciencias0727 media I consumed as a child goes back to the 80's. You could be a kid in the 90's and still appreciate it. Idk why guys like you have to ruin someone's parade. He was 6 in 99 definitely exposed to 90's. Go away with your negativity
@@jayski1714 nothing negative about my response, just facts: he was just a baby in the 90s, there's no way he was exposed to that era's music and media and still remember it. JUST FACTS
@@larevodelasconciencias0727 I was born in 93. I still remember die hard and breakfast club playing on the TV. You think kids are deaf blind and dumb? Let me tell you something unless your a embryo you remember early childhood. Granted as a teenager in the 90's you have more "mature memories" but that doesn't make you superior to a younger person.
Came here to download this mad piece of music after hearing a bit of it on tv tonight. Hearing it brought me back to the 90s. God how could I have forgotten all abt this awesome band!!!
Grew up in the 2000’s inheriting the CDs of my brothers and sisters. Glad I got to experience this on its original format. I use to rush home from school to blast the stereo before the parents got home.
I remember back in the day requesting songs on the radio and it seemed like most djs wouldn't play what I asked for, I assumed because I was a kid. So one time, I called & requested this song & tried to change my voice to sound older & the guy just started mocking me. What a dbag. Ah memories.
When I was a kid I thought songs came on at certain times during the hour, so I would make a list of songs and there time. I honestly wasn't too far off, and concerning your dbag dj, that happened to me as well when calling in as a kid so you weren't alone.
I also requested this song on the radio, I was SOOOOO sick of Usher - U Make Me Wanna! Now I like that song too but at the time it was just one of the other.
i used to actually ENJOY listening to the radio back then, now everytime i turn on the radio in my car i feel like ripping it out and throwing it out the window.
That's why I listen to Christian radio, not only cause I am one but let's be honest it's the only good music out anymore. They right produce and sing their music with out autotune unless for effect.
I'm saying forget the fact it's "Christian" it's clean uplifting and it dose not put people down. Red, Switchfoot and owl city are great examples of what great music is about. sergio roberts s
Black Falcon i used to like red, its not a bad band. i was also into falling up back when i was a kid. but its really just mainstream rock, like chevelle, breaking benjamin, and three days grace. really no difference at all.
Adriana Cortez Our capacity for ignorance and self rationalization were higher then...we can see bullshit all around us coming from miles away now and we spend literally all day deflecting bullshit. Back then we had ignorance

We'll find out I'm told, my mother she told me so
I just wanna fly
Put your arms around me, baby
Put your arms around me, baby
I just wanna fly
Put your arms around me, baby
Put your arms around me, baby
I just want to fly
I just want to fly
All around the world, statues crumble for me
Who knows how long I've loved you
Everyone I know has been so good to me
Twenty-five years old, my mother God rest her soul
I just wanna fly
Put your arms around me, baby
Put your arms around me, baby
I just wanna fly
Put your arms around me, baby
Put your arms around me, baby
I just want to fly
I just want to fly
I just want to fly
I just want to fly
I just want to fly
I’m 25 and I remember listening to sugar ray since I was a kid brings back simpler times and memories. But aye I just wanna fly!
Born in the 60's. Enjoying this on my way through.
Same here
Who is here because they actually "Lived in the 90s !"
Miss the 90 music
Ron Wojcik born in 1990 baby.
Ron Wojcik I'm a 90's kid and proud of it!😎
Ron Wojcik born 1981
Me! Born in 81.
Let's give props for Super Cat and his contribution to this song's fame. I remember hearing Fly for the first time and thinking, "How in the hell did the reggae artist who sang Don Dada get on this track? But it works!"
He's the only reason this song was successful. The video is super corny.
My mom dedicated this song and said it reminded her of me and our relationship and how much a mother and sons bond is and how much im stuck in the 80s and 90s music area. Can't be replaced or duplicated no mater how hard anyone tries i love you mom!
I love the two ladies dancing at 2:56. Wish we could see more of them.
Born in 93, when I listen to masterpieces like this, I’m instantly transported back to the 90’s and flooded with empathy and memories of my childhood, and of all the people who are no longer here with me at this time. What a rush
On Big G.....I'm over here feeling the same damn way🥺🙏🏽🌞💪🏽💯
Lol, what are you talking about, you where just a toddler im the 90s.
This was such a feel good jam when I was a teen, & it still jammin 24 years later. The 90s truly was an amazing decade of music.
I almost forgot about this song!! I love it!!
Definitely feeling nostalgic today! Class of 99 represent! We need some more good tunes like this in 2021.
Class of 99 here 🙂

Grew up in the 2000’s inheriting the CDs of my brothers and sisters. Glad I got to experience this on its original format. I use to rush home from school to blast the stereo before the parents got home.

STATUES CRUMBLE FOR ME.
Same here! Never got a successful req. as a kid...
I also requested this song on the radio, I was SOOOOO sick of Usher - U Make Me Wanna! Now I like that song too but at the time it was just one of the other.
In case you're curious czcams.com/video/bQRzrnH6_HY/video.html
probably cos its a shit song
ah yes, the glory days of being a kid with MTV, Nickelodeon and Fox Kids. times will never be the same
Im 60 and this song kicks ass too me on so many levels!
One level is you could write out and chart the rhythm of the words the DJ raps, and that Cat is "off the hook" as it used too be said. lol
i used to actually ENJOY listening to the radio back then, now everytime i turn on the radio in my car i feel like ripping it out and throwing it out the window.
same
That's why I listen to Christian radio, not only cause I am one but let's be honest it's the only good music out anymore. They right produce and sing their music with out autotune unless for effect.
Black Falcon couldn't possibly disagree more. im an atheist. but lets not go there.
I'm saying forget the fact it's "Christian" it's clean uplifting and it dose not put people down. Red, Switchfoot and owl city are great examples of what great music is about. sergio roberts s
Black Falcon i used to like red, its not a bad band. i was also into falling up back when i was a kid. but its really just mainstream rock, like chevelle, breaking benjamin, and three days grace. really no difference at all.
high school days. such good memories. music was better then.
Adriana Cortez Our capacity for ignorance and self rationalization were higher then...we can see bullshit all around us coming from miles away now and we spend literally all day deflecting bullshit. Back then we had ignorance
@Calvin zzstu Smiley depends on the day
17 years since I saw this live and still it ranks in my top 5 concerts of all time.
I remember growing up i seen him in movies or making tv apperances and learned about sugar ray and loved them since
I'm 25 years old, born in September 1994. My mom just passed away on the 13th of August. I love this song, it hit home before I was even at home
Sorry for your loss. I hope our song brings up some good memories for you

Literally in kindergarten on the bus and this song would come on and rock me. I had no clue what a single lyric meant, but the chorus would get a stomach level emotional response from me. Idk why, but just always grabbed me.
Damn I miss the 90’s it was the best era to grow up in
John Rice idk bout that one the Great Depression would be a great time to be born in
Absolutely
John Rice it really was 😢
It was a great time. I don’t remember issues with racism. I had friends of all nationalities and i am hispanic myself.
Calvin zzstu Smiley casual racism and homophobia is good tho
Back when MTV played music and they didn't have shows like jersey shore and teen mom and bullshit like that only reality show was real world on MTV
MTV was already killing the music when this song came out.
Man the scene will never be the same
Nostalgia
Road rules too..and it was ok...didn't watch them but MTV was the shit.
Yea man haven't watched MTV in forever, remember the astronaut, I still got that t shirt bro😁
