- Pivot Pegz Pivoting Footpegs Install on KTM 300 XC
This is a fairly quick video showing the install process and some comparison between the stock foot pegs and the 60mm Wide Pivot Pegz. It only takes a few minutes and is very straight forward. You really only need a pair of pliers (needle nose are good) to remove and install the cotter pin that holds the foot peg bolt in place. I also used a small hammer and punch to push the bolt out a little easier since it can stick a bit over time.
The pegz look really well made, seem to be wider but slightly shorter than the stock pegs and of course offer the 20 degree pivot / rotation both forwards and backwards. I've heard a few people complain about "accidentally" hitting the shift or brake levers when the pegs pivot forwards. But most reviews seem very positive so I'll let you know what I think after I've had a chance to try them out a few times.
Thanks again for stopping by and watching this video! If you have any questions or requests for videos please feel free to leave them in the comments below. I will try to get back to all them and answer any questions you might have. Love them..Coming from a mt biking background, it feels very natural..I also have a Clake with LHRB and move all around the pegs without the archaic brake pedal..
Thanks for the install vid! Just got a pair and feel comfortable doing the install now. Are they still working well for you? Excited to try them out!
I still run them on my 300 and really like them. No issues yet! Thanks for stopping by!
So how do you like these footpegs? have you been riding with them lots?
I like them overall... although honestly I don't really notice them much. I do like them when standing though (sand, whoops, bumps, fast, etc) as they feel very good being able to shift weight around more easily. Thanks for asking!
Thanks for the update! I just put them on my 250 xc.
