Hi! I'm what I consider a dirt bike "budget" racer and rider here in Colorful Colorado. I ride and race (and work on!) slightly older (i.e. cheaper) 2-stroke KTM's whenever and wherever I get the chance. I race mostly with CORCS Colorado Hare Scrambles and Grand Prix Racing series... but have done some enduros and desert races as well. I'm passionate about riding and racing both my 300xc and a 200mxc. Here you will find some of my videos of dirt bike riding, racing and training. I'm also hoping to post up a few more technical videos on dirt bike maintenance, off-road riding (primarily in Colorado) as well as some other informative videos. And whatever else I decide to post up here and there. Probably something to do with motorcycles ;-) Thanks for stopping by!

Ducati Hyperstrada / Hypermotard 821 - Easy Rear Wheel Removal and Install
A quick video on removing the rear wheel and then re-installing it back on my 2015 Ducati Hyperstrada. I got a nail in my rear tire at around 3,500 miles (on the tire)! So I decided to only replace the rear tire at this time. I just wanted to demonstrate how easy it is to swap a wheel out on a single sided swingarm. If you have any questions or comments just leave them below. Thanks!
The nut that holds the wheel on is 46mm (torque to 230 NM or 170 ft-lbs)
The nut that holds the sprocket on is 41mm (for reference... not used here)

Hi I recently got an 07 GT and both door subs do not work. The car is fully stock so I’m wondering if maybe there’s a fuse for them that could be blown? Or maybe both amps are bad. Anyway to check? Thanks
That's tricky! If it is indeed a stock head unit that no one has ever pulled out then fuses are definitely the first place I would check. You may need to check and test quite a few fuses (not sure which ones off the top of my head). But that should not be difficult. Otherwise if you could get ONE amp that you know works you could swap it out with one or both of the others to test that way. Good luck and let me/us know what you find!
Thanks for the well presented video. If you use the camshaft locking tool (it is not very expensive) there is no need to mark the belts. The tool holds the camshafts in alignment and then you loosen the camshaft sprockets slightly, so they can just turn in their slotted holes. This perfectly aligns all the timing and removes any slight stress placed on the belts when setting the correct tension. Once tension has been set the camshaft sprockets fixing bolts are tightened and everything is then retimed according to the Ducati workshop procedure. Appreciate you showed doing it without the locking tool but by doing it that way it is possible to have the timing fractionally out, if for example the sprockets have moved a tiny amount on the camshafts during its running life.
Thanks for the detailed info, much appreciated.

KM Range to change the airfilter ?
thanks man that helps, have you ever removed the airbox? I need to do that but it seems really tricky...
No, I have never removed the airbox. It does look like a pain... but there is a section in the factory manuals called "Removing the airbox". I would start there and see how it goes. Good luck!
Thanks a lot for the effort doing this video and the shared details, Great Job!
After how many kilometers that you have to change the belt?
Here I am changing them at 30,000 km (~18,000 miles). Thanks!
Dont they make a tool that holds the cams in position while you change the belt?
Yes, I think they do. I did not buy one though... so I thought I would show how to do this with minimal "specialty" tools. Thanks!
Great Video. Just wondering where did you get the specs for the valve clearances? The reason I ask is I have the factory manual for my 2014 SP and it is not the same. Thanks in advance.
Sorry for the late reply... but I have two factory manuals that match up - one for the 2014 Hyperstrada and one for the 2015 HM SP. As I recall there are TWO sperate sections for "specs for the valve clearances". One section is for the factory specs/settings and the other is for setting them at the recommended intervals (which is slightly more generous). Both sets of specs are close... but definitely differ by a small margin. Let me know if you need or want details on that. Thanks!
Hi do you know what tool will work for a 2020 Monster 821? I think its a Borsch ECU thanks
Thank you very much for the content. You have helped move forward my trouble shooting stereo. You described exactly my issues. Pulled out my head unit 5x times trying to troubleshoot wonky previous owner install Do you have a part number for the driver and passenger amps? Thank you Spencer
I'm pretty sure the part number for both of my amps (left and right) was: 7R3T-18C808-AA. I do not "think" it matters which goes where and there seems to be a fair amount of different part numbers for different years and models. I'm thinking they will all work... but I cannot say for sure. You're best bet is to pull both of your amps out and match the part numbers for your specific vehicle. Thanks, and good luck!
Did you notice any difference?
Throttle response felt a bit crisper... but I could not really tell a difference in power. You'd probably need some good dyno runs to accurately gauge that. Thanks!

Hi I did the same thing on a Hypermotard 939 SP and this guide will also help you with 939 models. But you will need a instruction for tork and the frequence of the belt. I'm sure these are different.
After watching dozens of S187 videos, I've made the conclusion that no one likes the Ford "pedestal" rear GT spoiler.
is that the stock one? yea leaving it on makes the car look boring.
Thank you for the video and the insights. ✌🏿
Many thanks to you. I've got my 821 in Belgium since one year and I even did not knew that. I confirm that all our 821 hyperstrada have it
15:50 Hello, you reset the Desmo service interval, but the oil service interval, after you reset why does it display -9350? It’s automatic calculated by the ECU or you input manually? The schedule is supposed to be every 15000km interval starting from the second oil service, so please explain
The 9350 is in "Miles" (US) which is equivalent to 15000km. So it has a negative symbol (-) before the number indicating that it is counting down to 0 when the oil service indicator will display again now that the oil service indicator has been fully reset. I hope that helps! Thanks!
@@JaxRacing Oh my Math 😅 So, when you click reset the oil, so - if the clock counts 15xxx, when you reset, it will automatically set to 30000km statically or increase 15000km above current distance?
How’s your experience after servicing the cam-belt replacement?
So far so good! I've only put a couple hundred miles on it so far since we're in the middle of winter here... but it's been running great since the service. Thanks!
Does this get locked to your vin or can you use it on multiple cars if u revert back to stock?
I think the instructions indicate that IF you revert back to stock you CAN use this on another vehicle.
Nice
Hey man thanks for the upload. Is this the same procedure for the 2017 supersport please?
I couldn't say for certain without a little research. I bet it's very close if not the same. Your bike has the 937cc Testastretta 11º found in the newer Hypermotard which is just a slightly larger version of my 821. Good luck!

What kind of shorty headers do you have on the car?
I'm not exactly sure as they were already installed when the car was purchased. I was not able to see any visible markings on them but they look a lot like the Flowtech 1-5/8-Inch with a Natural (Raw) Finish. Thanks for watching!
I have a question on the 2008 Mustang GT with 4.6 . Are they batteries known to go dead in gold weather?? I've had EVERYTHING electrical tested. Everything is good. Put a new alternator on for the hell of it. Tested old one, tested ok. Battery is new interstate, checked Google with a 0.3 draw. So what the heck is wrong. Please get back with some kind of an answer. Will greatly appreciate it. Vernon Mardis from Pa.
I do not know anything about that... this is our first winter with ours but no starting issues yet (in CO with months of freezing temps). I'll let you know if I hear of anything though!
High RPMs is what hurts the alternator and that does in your batteries. My Stock battery lasted 8 years and the Alt lasted 14 years and I believe that died because I had the underdrive pulleys all that time and after installing the Supercharger and the stock pulleys the Alt went after a few passes at the dragstrip. Desno alternator and a new interstate Battery and the problem went away. I push 7k rpms at the shift and have not seen any problems.
I have an 06 GT. If you have the shaker 500 radio these are known to have a fuse go bad and can drain the battery dead if it sits for a couple days or so. This can be avoided by replacing the fuse or by making sure the radio is turned off before shutting the car off.
